Just wanted to let you know I don't watch television anymore; I watch vlogs like yours which I consider shows 'cause they are so entertaining. Allie. Every child developes differently. The worst thing you can do is compare Leo to another child. He will be fast in some things and slow in others. But it will all level out in the end You are doing a great Job with him. He is so lucky to have you both as his parents. Great video as usual.
Absolutely agree👍 My son wouldnt talk except for a word here and there. Then around 2 yr he came out witg sentences! I think he was just analizing that whole time. He still at age 40 is quiet but when he has something to say its worth listening to.
The “What to expect” book on your child hasn’t been written yet. These books are all factual but really just generalities. Every child is special and unique.
My mom used to say that having a happy healthy child is as much good luck as good parenting. She was not educated but people smart.

In
Mom of 4 and my 3rd child is a late talker. This frustrated him more than it did us. Now that he's 4, he's starting to talk up a storm... in general the kid is super smart. Late talkers brain usually runs so fast, that saying what they want to say is just a struggle, so they babble.
I absolutely HATE growth chart comparisons, and children being judged by how many words they say at a certain age.
The cake looked so awesome and Leo taking the bear's head off was classic! Happy 1st Birthday, Leo!

It didn’t indicate how smart a child is. Different baby’s just do things at different times. Leo’s reactions to those around him show how smart he is and he is so cute!

Don’t worry about Leo’s talking. My daughter talked but so fast we didn’t understand half of what she said until she was about 4. After her spending a month off her schooling, she was hospitalized for a eye injury , we received a large envelope from the school. I was afraid she was being set back . No she was invited to go to a school for gifted kids. She has a genius IQ. It will work out in the end. I can see he is very bright.
Sounds like she has stupid parents.
As a prior teacher I thank you for that contribution ...i have seen examples of what you are saying so much in my life. Genius minds do not follow the norm.
I too had a late talker. When he started talking he spoke in 3-5 word sentences and he is also gifted. If he’s not saying 50-100 words at 2 then you will want to get him evaluated for a possible speech delay. In the mean time you can go online and work on some baby signs with him. Signing helps to encourage verbal language.
As soon as I read your second sentence I knew your child is gifted! When kids that young speak really fast they’re trying to pronounce multi-syllable words. The same thing happened to my son. I was concerned because I thought something was wrong with him as I could no longer understand his speech. He was two years old so I had him tested. They only had tests for up to 5 years old. He aced all of them! I had to speak to him as if he was an adult! Children develop at their own pace. Leo will be fine.

Oh, and I also loved the little bowtie and suspenders outfit that Leo was wearing at his birthday party. It’s so much fun watching you guys dress him just adorable and he is so smart and he engages with everyone at the party. That’s great. I can tell when he gets older he is going to be just a great kid. Good job. And he’s gonna be able to do everything Trent can do because transit gonna teach him from the beginning he’s gonna be awesome. Kisses

Our daughter didn’t walk until she was 16 months. She was probably talking before that and grew up to be a very smart and intelligent person.

I think Leo's birthday might be around my oldest son's birthday and also its my wedding anniversary, 11-11. Either way, happy birthday little man!! Also my oldest son talked at a very young age, my youngest son was 3 before he really started talking a lot and using sentences, he just didn't want to talk and he was always obviously taking everything in and studying everything. My youngest is 15 1/2 now and 6' tall. I hate seeing my sons all grown up but also I love it. Being a parent is weird. lol

Snore storms are my favorite! You stay in, snuggle up with hot cocoa, a warm fire and a good book, then wake up surprised you fell asleep in the middle of the afternoon. Used to happen on the ranch in the winter when the snow was 3 feet deep, on the roads! Everything stopped to take a breather. I miss those days. Now I'll watch the rest of the video.

I remember those days at the pediatrician. My son spent most of his younger years hovering at the 70th percentile. I kept worrying that he was going to be short like me yet all the men in my family are 5'11" - 6'4. Of course, all my friends with children his age would mention how their child was hitting the 100th percentile. He is now 5'11", athletic and healthy. Those measurements really made me anxious when he was little...unnecessarily so!

Happy Birthday Leo!!! He won't remember the first one, but everyone else does. I had the second generation as my first new car back in the late 1970's. My baby boy...now your age...talked before he walked, but it was stand up in the middle of the room and walk for the first time. It is like they say, "Now is the time" to walk, to talk, to all sorts of interesting things.
Lee is just blossoming more and more everyday. My girls were always at the 5%-10% on the scale.
As for walking one day he will just take that step and be on the move then the “catch me” if you can lol!! Thank you for sharing his special day with us

One of my sons didn't really talk until he was four. I had him tested and the doctor said he was fine. He also said he will talk when he has something to say. He did start talking in sentences when he decided to talk. Don't worry yet. He is doing fine. He is so happy.

I’m not surprised Leo is the weight he is you and Trent are very slender yourself a so it is normal!! Love you guys❤
It’s simple to install and hang the heater in the garage. Take some of your 2x4 and build a platform to set the heater on while you install it and hang it and secure it in place. Then you can disassemble the platform and pull it out from underneath the heater. The safest way to do it is have something underneath it to hold it up while you’re working with it. Your job is looking great, keep up the good work. John
