He also installed a charge line so I can charge my iPhone 12 while using the CarPlay.He went over how to work the Apple CarPlay with the latest iOS 15.6.1 software . So far with no problems. Question on the mic, does the system use the factory provided microphone? Factory gps? What happens to the Android auto interface when you get a phone call while you are using nav?
How about when you need to use factory Lexus options like AC controls or setup /audio buttons. Do you press the desired button and just press NAV button to bring you back to the apple car play screen? Or does this cause the pole car play to disconnect ?
@@Ryansrangereport I know the question was asked a while ago, but the reason is the 2010-2013 GX has a resistive touch display, meaning it senses touch with pressure on the display. The 2014 and newer uses a capacitive touch screen which allows sliding for navigating around the infotainment. it's not really possible to swipe to the right on a resistive touch display since those kinds of displays only detect touch once per touch. I have seen people replace the 2010-2013 infotainment with the new one and THEN install this same system with success.

I see that you have to push the screen home screen button to get siri. Have you tried to long press the "pick up" phone button on the steering wheel to initiate Siri? That is how it works factory. Could you give it a try and let me know if that works? Thank you!

You should check out the gas pedal module also. It's not that expensive and it makes a world of difference with engine performance and you even get to pick how much performance you want among many others settings from your Bluetooth phone because it has that also and a button you can push while you're driving for different settings. I love it in my Lexus.

Unfortunately we don’t recommend using the flush mount anymore due to it malfunctioning after a few months of use

Sounds like an issue with the motor. I suggest you consult with a local mechanic shop

Depends if the 360 view setup uses GVIF or RCA. If GVIF it won’t work together with this. This is a wired solution only
