    My favorite part of this channel is how he usually only uses normal things you can get anywhere and how he has realistic expectation for what you'll make yourself. No way in hell am I baking my own bread for a sandwich.

      he has done both. he has videos where he makes his own salsa by heating veggies in an air fryer then blends them using a food processor. other times he uses store bought. even in this video he uses store bought while mentioning that most times he would probably make his own. also, he has made his own dough previously, incorporating his pre-workout powders. so there is that.

    Hey Josh :D, I rly appreciate your recipes. Since the whole idea of mealprepping revolves around efficiency,
    i´d like your Opinion on pressure cooked Turkey thighs. In germany these cost around 4,6€ per Kilo which is 2,1 USD per Pound of lean meat . I use an instant pot , but any pressure cooker would suffice. Atleast in germany i found it to be the best cost efficient dark meat there is :D and wanted to share this, maybe you guys in the us have something similar worth throwing into the good ol pressurizer.

    Man, I love this page and his frankness and wit. Are the meal prep containers reusable? I've seen what looks like them at stores like Walmart, but I'd rather get different containers than spend a lot to replace them. Disabled, fixed income-- gotta be mindful.

    • @pilebunker420

      If you are not using the freezer, i suggest you to buy glass containers that can go into the microwave. If you need to freeze, get some decent plastic ones and don't use anything that's very abrasive if you're going to wash them by hand, so they doesn't start breaking down that early and you can reuse them as much as possible. Glass containers are almost always better. They last far longer and are easier to wash.

    • @davidwilkey7389
      @davidwilkey7389 11 місяців тому +1

      Yes, they're reusable and Walmart sells ones that are exactly like the ones in the video. 5 for around $4, I think.

      A set of 5 glass Pyrex containers will last you quite a long time and are relatively inexpensive. I recommend not using plastic, as microwaving food and eating out of it does weird things to your body in the long term. Plus plastic sometimes will allow soap flavor to linger on the surface after cleaning.

    1) You will get better potatoes if you par-boil them, with pieces that small only about two minutes.
    2) Drizzle a healthy oil on them (I just use organic olive oil) and cook them in the air fryer at 400° F. They will get crispy faster, and you can pull the basket out every 3-4 minutes and toss them. You won't heat your house up in the summer using the oven, and the potatoes will be much better.

    • @aaronbailey9454
      @aaronbailey9454 11 місяців тому

      @@milesparris4045 yes but I prefer doing that when they’re served on the side. I parboil them with baking soda for extra crisp. A quick method though if you’re short on time is just soaking them in cold water then rinsing off the starch before roasting. It’s not as good but better than just roasting.
