FYI It has been brought to my attention that not all mason jars are microwave safe so make sure you check that yours are first. It appears that the Ball brand is and some of the cheaper off brand ones are not

Hey Josh. I'm dropping you a line to thank you for making these recipe videos. It's hard to overstate how groundbreaking this has been for me. I am 39, late ADHD diagnosis, and ever since I moved out of my parents' house at 19, cooking dinner has been an enormous struggle for me. Add to the fact that i have zero passion for food and would opt for an astronaut tablet if I could get away with it.
Yesterday though, I prepared my second batch of meal prep, from your recipes, and ate a portion while watching your butter chicken recipe and looking forward to making it. You don't know how crazy that is for me. Thank you so much for making these recipes accessible, fun to watch, easy to follow and delicious to eat.

You can also put the mixture in zip lock bags and they take up less freezer space. Then put the flat bag in hot water in the sink ti thaw it out. Then in a cooking dish in the microwave. Same principal and it works. Great video passing around ideas.

I love making breakfast scrambles! i make mine with mexican chorizo instead of sausage. the spice of the chorizo with the sweetness of the potato goes so well together.

From September 2021-June 2022, I went from 225 lbs to 155 lbs (I'm a weak 5'10"). I already knew how to cook, but as I'd moved in to an apartment by myself, I didn't care to waste any time cooking. It's a utility and I'm not made of time. These videos helped a shitload! When I started watching them, I don't think you had 30k subscribers. Thanks for them! I still use them even though I've been a healthy weight for a while now.

I have changed it up and used different meats Italian sausage, diced ham, even andouille sausage for Mardi Gras. One thing that I do with the basic chicken sausage is to add a half a teaspoon of bacon fat which gives it a nice smokey flavor.

I haven’t tried it yet and Josh mentioned macros and idk anything about those so maybe you’d wanna research that before purchase, but wanted to drop it in the event it could help someone wanting more egg in their breakfast!

Im prepping my breakfast now too. Kinda similar dish and I love it.
    it contains:
    - diced potato (baked)
    - minced meat or ready to go meat slices (cut into pieces)
    - onion (finely chopped)
    - spinach (finely chopped)
    - 2 eggs
    - bonus: half a scoop of naturally tasting proteine powder
I dice my potatoes the night before, and even put it in the microwave for 5 minutes to precook them.
While leaving them in the oven for about 10 minutes, the rest should get ready.
I finely chop some onion and add it to the pan, brown it to my liking. Together, I'll add my minced meat or chopped slices. Should take max. 5 minutes (when using minced meat, get to high temperatures to quickly get rid of the waver content so it can start browning). Obviously, add any spice that you like here. I'm adding some garlic and paprika powder. Also, any finely chopped vegetable can work (carrot, mushrooms etc.)
Add the spinach, takes about a minute to dry out a bit. Then add the potatoes. Put it into a large container and store in the fridge.
When you want to eat, add one portion back into the pan and put in as many eggs/egg whites as you want. If you want to add some proteine powder, you probably want to keep the yolk a little bit soft, so the powder can integrate.
Add some parsley or chives to finish if like. I eat this everyday to reach my proteine intake. The potatoes are an amazing energy source and fill me up so well. The whole dish just feels like a power meal. Tastes great every time.

You might add a bit of baking soda with the spices and let it rest with that in there before cooking. Helps both browning and retaining moisture and seems like the perfect addition of making sausage from scratch.
Also, wide mouth pint jars are a thing - or even wide mouth 8oz jars though that might be too small.

The making of my own sausage is something I never thought of in this way. Definitely more healthy.

I use half-pint and one pint wide mouth canning jars. Instead of the metal lids and rings I buy wide mouth polypropylene lids off Amazon to fit. The lids are BPA free and can be used in the microwave or even an Instapot. One can cook the sealed jars in an Instapot, tighten down the lids while hot and the food inside keeps. I’ve got some unrefrigerated food that kept over six months without spoiling. The lids don’t have the safety button embossed into them so no “pink sounds” but the lids will bow into the jar between 1/2 inch to one inch.
The advantage here is that no refrigeration is required until you break the seal and open the jars. Being wide mouth, they are easier to fill, eat out of and wash afterwards. The lids are reusable. I’ve got some making more than 24 trips through the Instapot without any issues.
Keep up the great videos and I second the suggestion for more breakfast. Finally, thank you so much for including the seasoning weight in grams. I wish every UA-cam recipe did.

Hey Josh, I found a way to incorporate veggies into my diet that doesn't require me to actually eat that horrible crap. I put brokoli, cauliflower etc. with some water in the blender, blend it all up into a liquid, and then add this liquid to soup or use it to cook rice in. This way, I get all those good nutrients from veggies without actually having to chew that stuff + it's much easier to mask the taste & smell with spices that way.
