- Hi guys! So i recently purchased a 1986 Electra Glide and wanted to do a budget bagger build. All the bagger builds that we see online always cost an arm and a leg. In this series, you'll see me build this bike, as budget-friendly as I can!
In this video, I put the Thrashin Supply Street Glide adapter on the Electra Glide, along with a riser clamp and handlebars! The process is a little time consuming, but definitely possible!

So glad I saw this! I just subscribed I love the paint scheme on your bike I’ve got a 93 FLHTP that I converted to a Tour Glide fairing but haven’t seen any videos of anyone doing a bar / riser set up like you did. I’ve got a Big Al’s bar and riser on my 83 FXR and it’s such a great set up
I just had one of these for sale by me and I was curious how it would be putting bars on so I’m glad I stumped across this video haha

Hello again I called thrashin put they directed me to just a riser with out the adapter. That is the part number on what you used .is it necessary? Could you give the brand or riser and bar you used 1 inch diameter?
My 1988 has a plastic cover that covers the riser clamps. Did yours have that as well and if so how is that removed? It looks like your risers were exposed already.

What size riser did you use?
So we’re you able to move the Ignition switch after you sanded down the plate? So no relocation of the switch right?
It fit perfectly after I sanded it! I didn’t need to relocate the switch.
Did you have to get extended cables, and if so where did you find them? Those look awesome by the way!!
I did not have to extend any cables. It barely made it haha
what height risers are these? Are these the mid bend bars?

Hi! It was the Thrashin mid bends. I believe they were 7.5” pull backs from drag specialties. Thrashin top clamp

Did you reuse all of your stock stuff on what appears to be maybe a 12in bar setup?
I have a 93 Electra glide how do I remove the air ride to put on different bars or do I need to.
If i remember correctly, the air ride on this bike was pit separately. Therefore, I didnt really have any issues with the air ride when changing the bars!
I wanna do this to my 89 tour glide! But my gauges are there
I haven't been able to work on one of those yet, so I cant really tell you how that would work. Id imagine you could also switch to a dual gauge or something and have that mounted on your handlebars.
I’ve got a 93 FLHTP that I turned into a Tour Glide yours looks the same as his underneath the gauges you should be able to do just what he did in the video

Bars are 5.5 risers are 5.5 thrashin adapter 2”
Risers and them type of bars do Not belong on that type of bike….
I seen somebody put risers and MX bars on a sportster, and I always said that was the worst set up I’ve seen…….. Wellllp, not anymore…
How tall of riser are you running? What did you do for cables?
