So glad I saw this! I just subscribed I love the paint scheme on your bike I’ve got a 93 FLHTP that I converted to a Tour Glide fairing but haven’t seen any videos of anyone doing a bar / riser set up like you did. I’ve got a Big Al’s bar and riser on my 83 FXR and it’s such a great set up
My 1988 has a plastic cover that covers the riser clamps. Did yours have that as well and if so how is that removed? It looks like your risers were exposed already.
Thanks for the video , I just picked up a 1986 Electra glide classic and the radio don’t work . I was looking to see how to take off the front farring and your video shows how to do it clearly . Thank you . By the way what radio are you using . Mines still has the cassette player and I wanted to up grade to something Bluetooth compatible?
Really informative install and easy to watch video, i wanna do a similar set up for my 2013 street glide. Trying to do a budget performance/touring build.
I have a 1988 flhtc - that set out is sick.what rise and bars did you use?also the wire connectors Hello again I called thrashin put they directed me to just a riser with out the adapter. That is the part number on what you used .is it necessary? Could you give the brand or riser and bar you used 1 inch diameter?
I haven't been able to work on one of those yet, so I cant really tell you how that would work. Id imagine you could also switch to a dual gauge or something and have that mounted on your handlebars.
I’ve got a 93 FLHTP that I turned into a Tour Glide yours looks the same as his underneath the gauges you should be able to do just what he did in the video
@@lemonheadgarage thanks bro i ordered sum risers and pull back plate with the bars from thrashin my bikes taken apart juss waiting on parts well see how it goes hopeing i can still use my ignition
If i remember correctly, the air ride on this bike was pit separately. Therefore, I didnt really have any issues with the air ride when changing the bars!

I just had one of these for sale by me and I was curious how it would be putting bars on so I’m glad I stumped across this video haha
haha thats exactly why I wanted to do it. I was always so curious, but not many have done it.
Great video. I just got a 2001 Electra glide and will be running a similar setup.
That bike was made the year I was born, it actually aged better than I did tho 😆
That was a very helpful video , just bought some 16's to install however don't really care for the T-bar look on a bagger. ❤love it
Just finished this set up on my sg thanks for the inspiration
Are you able to use the fork lock still?
What’re the lengths of your new throttle idle and clutch cables?
Brother Would this set up work on 2005 Electra Glide Cvo?
Is it possible to do the exact same on a 2002 ultra glide?

great work, thanks for this. curious - why choose a riser instead of just changing bars? i’m considering both at the moment.
Would this be the same way are very similar on a 2005 Electra glide?

Sick bike!
Who did the radio and amp in your set up
Any more videos of this bike?
Hi, unfortunately I dont have any more videos of this bike.
Really informative install and easy to watch video, i wanna do a similar set up for my 2013 street glide. Trying to do a budget performance/touring build.
Hey Micah, thanks for watching! I hope it goes well!
What size riser did you use?
Very nice!

I’m looking for that riser adapter but I can only find one for 2012 and up, is that the one you bought? I have a 2002 ultra
So we’re you able to move the Ignition switch after you sanded down the plate? So no relocation of the switch right?
It fit perfectly after I sanded it! I didn’t need to relocate the switch.
what height risers are these? Are these the mid bend bars?
Hi, yes they are!
Can you fully turn the bike on? I never lock my fork 😂😂😂
ANOTHER great video ...Thanks
I wanna do this to my 89 tour glide! But my gauges are there

What size risers? And height on bars?
Hey Zach! Thrashin high bends and 5.5” pull backs!
You didn’t add the link to the risers though. What brand?
So about 10” All together?
Bars are 5.5 risers are 5.5 thrashin adapter 2”
sick bro you brought that vintage bike back to life will this set up work on a 99 ultra e glide?
Hey Jason! Thanks man. It should, but the way it mounts might be different!
@@lemonheadgarage thanks bro i ordered sum risers and pull back plate with the bars from thrashin my bikes taken apart juss waiting on parts well see how it goes hopeing i can still use my ignition
I have a 93 Electra glide how do I remove the air ride to put on different bars or do I need to.
If i remember correctly, the air ride on this bike was pit separately. Therefore, I didnt really have any issues with the air ride when changing the bars!
Did you have to get extended cables, and if so where did you find them? Those look awesome by the way!!
I did not have to extend any cables. It barely made it haha
Did you reuse all of your stock stuff on what appears to be maybe a 12in bar setup?
Hey i just bought a bike like this what risers did u use thrashin supply too?? Or just the top clamp and adapter were thrashin??😊
Hi! It was the Thrashin mid bends. I believe they were 7.5” pull backs from drag specialties. Thrashin top clamp
Risers and them type of bars do Not belong on that type of bike….
I seen somebody put risers and MX bars on a sportster, and I always said that was the worst set up I’ve seen…….. Wellllp, not anymore…
How tall of riser are you running? What did you do for cables?
