Hershel is the definition of a comfort character, he's a huge part of why i rewatch the earlier seasons, actor's gone too soon, i wish he has peace now.
l miss russ comegy's😭😭😭😭😭l wish they give him a better role to play in the walking dead lm still upset about his real life death and his character death gone to soon and l miss you rest easy mr comegy's🌹🌺🌺🌺🌺🌹🌹
I was absolutely devastated when Herschel died. What the governor did to him. That broke my heart. Herschel was a loss. R.I.P. to Scott Wilson who brought Herschel to life.
I feel like Hershel became what Dale was intended to be, prior to Jeffrey DeMunn's fallout with the show-runners. It would've been amazing to see Dale and Hershel interact during Seasons 3-4, especially when Rick was losing his mind over the death of Lori.
Most likely and people can disagree but he could have taken Andreas tv show death in season 3. Him wanting to keep the peace with everyone is what gets him killed but gives everyone a sense of hope when taking the governor's people with them to the prison.
My dad died the year the 1st session came out. He had one leg(same one) ,small gray ponytail with beard an a bible at his side. Also was the nicest person I met in this world. He looked so much like Hershel at the end that I’d often cry watching when he came on screen. I watched this video to think about him. But now miss both.
I adored Hershel. I've only once in my life screamed at a character death and it was his. The characters changed so much after that and it's because they lost their physical moral compass. Excellent video. Happy I found this channel!
Scott Wilson was such a a great man. I met him once and I said to him "I'm so happy to see you with your head still attached!" And he laughed and told me he keeps the prosthetic robot hershal zombie head in his closet and my first thought was wow that was be the best hoooween decorating to hang around the house lol.
Hershel was sucha good character. The homie even lived through getting bitten and having his leg chopped off. Also late happy bday to you bro. Keep up the vids!
0:02 This scene said it all. Herschel is still alive within Rick. He showed Rick the man he needed to be. He couldn’t be stubborn. The old world was gone. He had to man up, and face the truth. But..he could do so with grace and mercy whenever truly possible.
Herschel was my favorite character. His death left me empty. Watching him die was draining and I cried for the loss of a bright light in their trek to find the true north.
"we all can change" right after he said that for the next few years rick went through the craziest and most brutal character development, going from "we dont kill the living" to "i lied" XD
He's an amazing character. Very realistic imo, and humble. He's wise, patient, and compassionate. In a world where those traits would typically get you killed, he managed to become a leader and advisor to those that had to make the ultimately tough decisions.
Hershel was actually one of my favourite characters and the episode where Hershel helped the sick people in the prison is one of my favourites too. He was a 'tough son of a B'
One of my coworkers/friend stopped watching the show after Herschel was killed. He was her favorite character and she told me that his death was too much for her. RIP to both my friend Kim Dokes and Scott Wilson. 🙏
My first episode of the show was the first episode of season 3. Idk what it is, but I often love badass grandparent characters and seeing Hershel take that amputation was insane when I first saw it. He'll always be the reason I decided to stick with the show all those years ago.
Not to be that guy but hershel did shoot a man outside the bar. it was one of randalls group who was shooting at glenn, so it was self defense, and I think technically the walkers finished the guy off, all the points made about his importance still apply though IMO
As you mentioned Hershel did not kill the man hence is not credited with the kill on the walking dead official site. I get your point but he has officially never killed a human so the point stands
The man was a wealth of knowledge and skills that would be necessary to survive the end of days and is a paragon of patience and humanity but I found him very aggravating to watch when he was introduced. I think if Shane hadn’t gotten involved and Rick had continued rolling over for Herschel with regards to collecting and not killing the walkers in order to be accepted on the farm that the whole group would slowly weaken the group over time and expose them to needless danger - granted the events that played out after the Barn scene where also needlessly dangerous at times.
Hershel actually did cause the death of someone (Sean) in the group that Randall was from, by shooting him somewhere in the torso, before walkers took care of the rest.
Well he did shoot that guy outside the bar in seasom 2 but he didn't finish him as the zombies got to him so technically thats a kill as he still contributed to his death
Hershel did kill someone in the shootout that happened with Randals group in the bar. He shot one of the attackers who then went down and got killed by walkers so he did indeed kill a Human on the show, obviously justified but still.
I’m not sure if you would count it, but Hershel did shoot down one of the bandits in season 2 when they are trying to escape the bar and get back to the farm. He was moaning and laying on the ground until walkers came up and ate him so I’m not sure if you would give the kill to him or the walkers.
Hershel kinda killed that guy at the bar, while he was drunk, he shot him and even if the shot didn't kill him instantly he couldn't move and got eaten by walkers.
Ummm Season 2 Episode 9 Hershel most certainly shot the shit out of one of Randall's friends. I guess technically the walkers finish the guy but I think that's the most BS cop out ever. Hershel shit the man, put him down to the point the guy couldn't get back up & didn't hesitate or think on it once as walkers showed up to devour the guy.
3:10 incorrect. Hershel kill a hostile survivor when he goes out drinking and Glenn and Rick go out to find him. The person he killed was the black guy named Sean. He shot him in the shoulder and he gets devoured by the dead. So Hershel has caused living person's death.
You’ve said it yourself, he got killed by the walkers yes Hershel shot him but the official site never credits him with the kill hence my point still stands
Hershel is the definition of a comfort character, he's a huge part of why i rewatch the earlier seasons, actor's gone too soon, i wish he has peace now.

Yeah definitely, a dale Hershel duo would have definitely been to wholesome for twd world tho 😭😭
Most likely and people can disagree but he could have taken Andreas tv show death in season 3. Him wanting to keep the peace with everyone is what gets him killed but gives everyone a sense of hope when taking the governor's people with them to the prison.
I met scott wilson awhile back at a comic con, he had zero line and he acted the exact same he did on the show. Extremely kind and warm guy.
That’s such a cool story! Rest in Peace to a true legend :(

I cried so much when Hershel died the way he did!!😢 I loved how wise and gentle he was!!!❤

Im pretty sure he kill someone when he saved glen at the bar
I mean the walkers kinda got that guy
@spoogy352 I mean technically Shane didn't kill Otis but we all know he did 🤣
@@daquanriley1620 fair enough 🤣
There was sadness in Hershal's death. What could've been if the Governor decided to back off peacefully
Hershal was amazing. I still miss him.
Such a good character :(
What Hershel was to the group is what Dale wanted to be
Ain’t lying 😂
I thought hershels dead was more upsetting than Glenn's
Hershel was actually one of my favourite characters and the episode where Hershel helped the sick people in the prison is one of my favourites too. He was a 'tough son of a B'
hershel was my favourite character❤️ rip scott wilson, thank you for being the best version of hershel greene
Such a great actor may Scott Wilson rest in peace 🙏🏼

i had a dentist who reminds me of him although its not a zombie apocalypse he gave me his vibes of comfort

I nerve really comment on UA-cam videos but got to say I’m really enjoying the TWD content on the channel. Excellent viewing.
Thank you so much I’ll make sure to try and keep up the content :)
Love your videos! I hope you keep growing. You deserve success
Thank you so much bro that means a lot 🙏🏼
happy birthday!!!
Thank you so much bro!
Imagine if Hershel and Dale lasted a lil longer, with them being a pair of 2 badass old men saying kool old quotes before they kill somebody 😂
Happy birthday! Hope you had a great day o7
Thank you very much kind sir
Love these videos, keep it up!
Thank you, I’ll keep them coming
You have a new follower 😊 good review
Thank you very much I hope you enjoy my future content!
I loved Hershel’s character when Scott Wilson died it hit me hard

As you mentioned Hershel did not kill the man hence is not credited with the kill on the walking dead official site. I get your point but he has officially never killed a human so the point stands
The moral characters were too kind to let the downfall of humanity take him, just like Dale.
I remember crying when Hershel and when Beth died..
Very talented actor, RIP! Could have very easily been a "boring" character like when Morgan refused to kill but Scott owns it.

Hershel is him 🗿
3:18 I think he killed one of the people of Dave and Tony's group in Season 2 Episode 9, Triggerfinger
Well! Well it's the Big Show!
do you guys play The Walking Dead Survivors?
I do not is it a good game?
Hershel kinda killed that guy at the bar, while he was drunk, he shot him and even if the shot didn't kill him instantly he couldn't move and got eaten by walkers.
I’m pretty sure Hershel did shoot someone in season 2 outside the bar that Rick caught his first 2 bodies at, I could be wrong tho.
Video on John dorie 🤔‼️
Brilliant idea I have a video on Noah coming out soon then I’ll make one on John!

@@FTWD_HLthanks man!
hershel kills a man at the bar in nebraska if i remember correctly or he shoots the guy and walkers finish him either way same thing
I have a post on my Facebook from that night of season 4 episode 8 where he got killed saying they killed the best character
Hershel shot a man at the bar in season two, you are incorrect.
I liked Hershel but he was wrong about Carl shooting the kid.
lm upset because lts a few more deceased actor among hershel lm sad about all of them😭😭😭😭
It's a bummer to say this but Hershel kinda had to die when he did. There was no way he was going to survive being on the road after the prison fell.
3:10 incorrect. Hershel kill a hostile survivor when he goes out drinking and Glenn and Rick go out to find him. The person he killed was the black guy named Sean. He shot him in the shoulder and he gets devoured by the dead. So Hershel has caused living person's death.

@@theohuntt it still counts as a cause. "Sean is the only named character whose death was caused by Hershel Greene in the TV Series."
@@BlazeNarutoShippudenI’m just going off the official notes of the show if they don’t count it as his kill neither do I, they make the rules
