I thought about that too. When I was Fallbrook CALY USMC lol I broke off a part of cacti and it actually grew.
@@hayden-4345 Peyote usually grows over the course of 8 years, it's an extremely slow growing plant, You consume peyote by taking out the white core from the middle, and eating the green flesh.

Agreed. I had an order in and canceled it and decided to go for the monotub kit from North Spore as well. Probably could've found a comparable kit cheaper online but they seem like a very professional company. It does comes with a bit of a price bump.

no the lights are not on. once i see some pins i use the light 3 hours a day at the lowest setting

I have tried 4 different bags and have gotten them all to the fruiting stage, but each time they grow no fruits. The bags are completely covered in mycelium but each time there is nothing to show for it, I drop the temperature, mist, and fan the bags but nothing happens, and the end up molding after about a week every time. Any advice?

@@steviejoe66 I know it definitely surprised me, I just followed Rookie Mycologists steps as close as I could, I barely had to do anything but I did make sure to not let them dry out. One thing I messed up on was cutting the bags, I kinda had to rip them open so I definitely recommend sharp scissors or razor like knife to cut the bag

That’s not what I was trying to say big man I owe you everything for my fruits. I would have never tried with out your content. I was hopeful you knew why your yield was small on the NS bags! I was surprised o got so much out of the MS AIO bag it looked like trash out the box and the NS bags looked like super quality. My two NS bags are getting mixed next week hope I get a lot bc I already ate up all my shrooms.
Brother, i noticed in one of your videos you dealt with side pinning on your grow bags by cutting thr bag open and transferring the cake to a monotube.
I discovered a way to resolve this problem without transferring the cake. Basically after you transfer your spawn into your grow bag you box your grow bag in. Instead of putting it on the shelf, place it in a slightly larger container and force the substrate up within the bag by boxing it. Wedge cardboard between the bag and walls of the container forming a block of substrate that is equal on all sides. This will free up a lot of space along the sides of the bag because once the substrate is colonized you can simply remove the cardboard shims and grow bag from the container and you can now pull the sides of the bag out away from the cake and have plenty of space on all sides for mushrooms to grow. The beauty is obviously that the now colonized cake will not crumble being the mycelium is holding the substrate together. I am actually surprised I have never seen this technique before but as sure as the world is run by idiocy i am not surprised.

I was using a 5 pound mushroom bag mushroom bag from Booming acres. Long stories short i orders some liquid culture of JMF. I inoculated it was fully colonized fairly quickly But it did not produce any mushrooms at all not even pin heads. What would be your advice for next time
Open the bag for air exchange and mist with water.
@@YaYa-ex8cu The one thing I forgot to mention was after it was fully and nice I took it out the bag and placed it in a Monotub Bin. I was using Pearl lights well. And I added distilled water in the mix of the pearl light . Is it possible that too much moisture can Prevent it from growing?
Back in the 80s the shrooms we got were pretty much covered in shit, man. You can try to scrape it off, but it still tastes like actual poop. But we tripped hard.

ive followed you for a wehile now and have tried the uncle bens methoid twice, and both times i got zero mycelium after 5 weeks. I opened the bags and there was literally no growth. ive followed your directions to the t. Im thinking that maybe the spores i got were bunk. Would you be so kind as to point me in the direction t5hat i can get liquid culture? I would seriously appreciate it. Thank you very much in advance

Do the mushroom community a favor. Do a side by side comparison of a straight coco-coir grow, growing next to a cvg. I am convinced the cvg is going to give little benefits but not enough to worry. Any thoughts on this?

@@therookiemycologistI only had 50grams wet on my first flush don't know if I done something wrong I kept the temp fae humidity all in the correct parameters. They were golden teachers. No where near this big though the veils on some had broken so had to harvest
