My first flush was unbelievable! I had to almost peel off the layer, and trim off the Rootlets. Lots of Bio Activity in the rootlets. I think I could just spawn another monotub off the trimmed rootlets. What a Haul..

Showing your failures is so powerful, real learning starts at failure! Also, it doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on your second flush, perhaps a more experienced grower would be able to confirm that some break up is ok.

I use the harvesting lids (the larger lids) without the filters to weigh down my cake. I find that they are easy to clean up and sterilize for my next flush. When draining the water I use a small rubber hose and siphon the water out (just like siphoning gas) this way my cakes never crack.

Edit: I commented on another video. I'm thinking about using the flipped dub tub we weighed the cake down with to keep the cake inside with my grip. as the water drains there's no way it can fall out then right?
You can also stick your arm under the liner and lift it out of the tub temporarily. good use for the liner
