Hi John, im going through my divorce at the moment. It's so difficult. But you're videos have been such a support. And I just wanted you to know that I appreciate the energy you invest in making these videos. Regardless of the monetary upside from UA-cam, I want you to know that even if no UA-cam monetary upside, there is a man sat in the UK that have helped emotionally! What I'm trying to say, I think you'll never fully comprehend the ripple effects of your work!

Going through one right now, it's getting disgustingly ugly. I feel I may not get through this, it's so unfair and my kids are suffering because they don't get to see me as much. I'm losing damn near everything because she was a stay at home mom.

@@northernmichigan4108 I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Divorce is incredibly hard, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed by everything happening right now. Please know that you’re stronger than you think, and even though it’s painful now, this chapter won’t last forever. Your kids will always love you, no matter what, and the bond you share with them can never be taken away. Focus on the small steps forward. Take it one day at a time, and remember that you have the strength to get through this. Listening to John It does help too.

Today the weather in North Jutland, Denmark 🇩🇰 was almost the same as your video, John. A little less snow though. Had a very short work day, went out to the trail in a local forest, walked 4,5 miles. It’s fun and amazing how thinking about life in freezing, fresh nature creates better thoughts. Almost 4 years now as a bachelor. Some of your videos spin in my head on a walk like today being reminded how great it is to be single at 54. I met 4 people today on the trail. Two with dogs and all guys. I bet they were single and if not their wives were at home being on instagram instead of outside in real life. I ate bacon and eggs for dinner with no vegetables 😂The freedom to have a weekend I decide. Not even being tempted to date anymore. This is the free life to do exactly what I want. This is balsam for the soul 😂 Have a great weekend everyone

Thanks for the common sense you bring to these videos. This is like a men's support group therapy to get over a divorce. I never wanted mine, but it's 80% of women initiated the divorce, and 40% of them regret that they lost someone who truly cared. Thus, they blow up the family due to selfishness and being short-sighted due to being controlled by their emotions instead of rational long-term thinking logically.
It's been 8 years since the divorce, and I've learned to heal, forgive, and love myself unconditionally, and become my own very best friend. I love the peace, serenity, and calmness in my home. I'm a good cook, and now I have money to spend, and more importantly, invest for the day I will actually need it.
I go where I want, when I want, without having to argue over it.
I've learned that I'm my own best company. It takes time to learn this. A companion for a dinner date, maybe, but I love my life and really don't want a live-in to spoil a good thing. Hope this helps someone else. 😊❤😊

And it's also just very encouraging

this is your best video (especially in cold weather) - a great balance between the good and the bad. you made an excellent point on working on yourself before getting into a relationship. relationships go more smoothly if your woman is really into you. if she's not, you'll constantly get lip service because she secretly resents "settling" for you.

The best relationship starts with yourself. With pleasure everything in moderation as well like ice cream for example. Pleasure can be like a cheat day but don't make it a cheat month. With life as part of duality it is about pain and suffering amd joy. We have to go through it and process it. Dont swim against the current swim with the current.

With a bit more work on that, you could develop sound criteria for selecting a marriage partner. Edit: Clearly marriage isn’t for everyone, so what type of person is it right for?

No she isn't the same girl i married and im sure im not the same guy. I have plenty of gripes. Maybe she does too ( but i cant imagining why). Just turned 60. Silver divorce won't work for everyone but remember: Be as faithful to yourself as you are to her, you may want and encourage her to be happy but that is ultimately a her issue. Finally, there comes a point where you must relinquish your urge to fix every problem, change every light bulb, pick up every bill ( yes, im talking about kids)....so.... stay happy....stay strong.....take physical and mental care of yourself....and if you stay married...love her for who she is today

Dear John, I have watched merely half of your video, and I have so many comments already!
I am 99.99% sure that I will sound like an odd dude, a religious fanatic, or something, and like a cocky patroniser, but I don`t have the luxury to care: it is all up to you what you`ll think, and it is my task to try to be useful to you in this.
    I. comment:
3:49 - Uncertainty is not only the essence, but it gives life A VALUE! What I mean by that is that in faith, a person gives credit to the God! Imagine that! Still, today the true faith is as rare as a good marriage (this is a joke and a true story at the same time).

@@JayS-j9d Believe in yourself, you can do it and you are worth it! Put yourself first now! Im almost a year seperated still waiting for divorce to finalize, had to sell house that we lived in, am in a single bedroom flat, still hard but it gets easier as time goes on, I gym a little every morning cause I wake up at 04:00 in morning with anxiety and it helps to face the day, learn to love yourself!!

A waste of time to be a better man. You never hear about women wanting to be better women. Being a better man got you in trouble with women and marriage in the first place. Your job is to love yourself and make yourself happy. That’s it. If you do that every day, your life will be a success. Being a better man just invites trouble.

But my dad has blue eyes and he married brown eyed women women who are pretty but have not the best noses are highly attracted to me and have told me I have the perfect nose..

Thank you John. I hit the crossroads in 2000.
What you're saying here is what my mentor said to me, he saved my life. I never understood how talking things through can change everything. It's the new insight to understanding yourself.
I accept change, it's out of my control. It was the most powerful thing I could do, once I started to understand how life really works.
Before that my mind was in a bubble.
I am so much wiser now and still learning.
All young men need to hear your wise words.
Thank you for your excellent videos of wisdom.
