My favorites are probably From Atoms to Pixels, Bittersweet Butterflies, Zephyr, Mindburn, and Aetherborne, but everything in this album is awesome! I'm glad you made a video on this! If I had to choose one though, it might be Zephyr, but that's subject to change.

About the intro and outro: The sounds are indeed those of conversation. And it's actually possible to decode using clues from the music videos and a lot of patience, it's been dubbed "aetherspeak" or "machinespeak" by the community and it seems to describe the conversation between chime and the machine.
In the intro to the LP, it's possible to decode the following:
    *Finally you have arrived*
*Your help is needed, we are broken*
*Only you can reform our fragments*
*For this you will be granted eternal life among the stars*
    *Do you accept our quest?*
    *Step into the machineeeeeeeee*
And in the outro (???) there is some worldbuilding and lore:
    *why am i still here*
    *this is all wrong*
    *the promise was false*
*will i remain here for eternity*
    *wait*
*i am the grand chime now*
    *this makes no sense*
*get me the hell out of here*
*help help help help help help help help help help help help help help*
(yes, the little moteif at the start and end spells out help)

    • @raunakm.6532
      @raunakm.6532 Рік тому +6

Im guessing that those 'fragments' represent that sound at the end that was heard in Sherwood , Zephyr and Beyond The Peak. At the end of Mindburn , we could hear those sounds thrice ,each in a different key of the song.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but if you play the last song "???" And let the album loop back around, the ending melody ARP of ??? Is the starting melody ringing out in the beginning of Into the machine.
I think it's super cool too suggest that there is a form of cyclical nature from this album.
Also, I believe those weird alien talking sounds are actually text prompt popping up on a screen, because in the beginning you can hear those sounds ringing off like animal crossing characters, then it sounds like somebody's pressing an enter button, almost as though they are accepting the terms and conditions of entering the aether.
And then at the end it seems almost like a farewell message or something, congratulating the person on making it through the whole album. This is really just spitballing, but that's my interpretation

    • @zadinx

I don't know what it is about their music but when I get into it, some of their songs can just bring me to tears. Especially Beyond the Peak. I had heard the drop before on Interdimensional Radio, but the build up you get when you hear the full song for the first time. It's incredibly emotional. Their tracks take you on a journey and you can't help but want to be a part of it when you listen.

Zephyr is an old track, Nawty... So it's absolutely normal it sounds like old Chime, it's part of the very first EP Chime released "Escapism EP". Released more than 7 years ago. Starstorm, Sherwood & Zephyr are old tracks from different years but they have been reworked, cleaned up, changes here and there. They are obviously better versions than their old versions while being the same

I have been eagerly waiting for this review. For me, the standout feature of this storytelling album is the lyrics from the track 'From Atoms to Pixel', particularly the line 'To trade my life for eternal colours among the stars', which seamlessly connects to the final track 'Starstorm'.

I think Mindburn had to be my favorite across the entire album. To me, it portrays the constant back and forth in your mind when you're attempting to move forward but are constantly fighting with the past that keeps trying to exert its force. It's chaotic, visceral, jarring, and beautiful all at the same time, and I don't think there's a better way to portray it than Chime did.
