serious serious serious AOTY contender for dubstep, for bass music, for me personally overall. just the sort of album that you really want more of in this scene - ambitious, focussed, unique in sound. good good stuff.
Album of the year for me, this is an album that breathes a fresh air into the underground music scene and I hope this encourages other artists to try new things
Take my Energy is by far my favorite but this whole Album is something really different. You couldn´t find something like this from anyone else than Syzy. Glad that there are still LP´s with this much Personality. Think this is the Start for some big Albums (looking at Phonon).
Syzy on top! Long time fan but I’m so glad they found their footing in music they difficulties and put out such a masterpiece as their first album ever. Shoutout Kmoe Neonix and Olswel
i've been listening to dubstep since around 2016 and imo this is the most cohesive, creative and interesting to listen to bass music LP i've ever heard, maybe only second to space laces' vaultage ones
very very good album, but dare I say I've seen some things about this album that puts it almost on an unattainable pedestal. I saw some producers say on X that the album "redefines music as a whole" and that I feel is just unfair to Syzy and an overreaction. AGAIN, it's very very good, and will definitely help out the underground bass music scene, but let's not go that far.
absolutely agree on this one, i feel it's pretty good, but i expected a fucking lot cuz of the twitter hype and i was a lil bit let down, so i felt like i didn't enjoyed it as much in my first listen because of that :c
I loved it because it sounds way more distinct and refined then a lot of projectscoming out rn. I like going hard as much as the next raver, but this is still dance music at the end of the day. Musicality matters, and this has loads of catchiness and good melodic elements. I don't think it's this earth shattering project some people seem to be saying it is, but I love it! Take My Energy! feels liek a warm hug, I hope other artists take some notes and put some more care and originality into their work instead of just churning out hard drops all the time
Glad ur back! I haven’t been a big fan of Syzy’s other works (on NSD and black label) but I must admit I enjoyed this LP a lot! Edit: R u gonna react to the Nosphere EP?
Another great video as always! Something I’d recommend is SCARING THE HOES by JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown. Even though it is a rap album, it has a distinctive EDM production style to it. You should definitely do a video on it.
Honestly I feel like this album is really good, albeit overhyped. A lot of the tracks from this album have sounds that may or may not appeal to EDM listeners, especially if this album is their first impression of riddim/dubstep. Much of the hype stems from the underground EDM listeners who've seen this project as "out of this world." Many of the songs from TWOTW just don't really align with my taste, as I've really liked 3 songs from TWOTW- "DOPE1", "Take my energy!", and "Caught up (in circles)", but hey, you do you.
I personally don't see the hype with the LP which is really sad. The production is really good, but none of the ideas are that interesting imo apart from some stuff in Take My Energy! and the first (really dope) half of DOPE1. A lot of people like it so that's nice, but I was hoping for more outlandish and unique ideas Edit: Experience (HIGHER) has a really cool drop as well, but the 5 minute "ambient" part kinda lost me
Yeah I get you I can definitely vibe with some of the songs in here but overall I can’t say I was really satisfied I guess im just not enough into Syzy’s style which I hope i can get into eventually

@@kazooeybloo8794 Olswel deserves more shine!!
olswels the goat
Dope1s skrillexy vibe is definitely olswels doing, his music is almost nostalgic with the 2010 sounds

Syzy needs to get as much reach as possible. Her music knows no bounds
Hey Svdden Death, here’s the coverage you ordered 😅❤

people love to blow things out of proportion, "big things coming" my ass
Literally one of the albums of the year
im so glad you liked DOPE1 I had the exact same reaction😅
The best way I describe this album is beautifully heavy

insane album awesome touch of uniqueness. good to see you upload again!
So hype you reviewed this, I was praying when I searched
Just listened to this a few times through the last couple days. Reallyyyy enjoy it!

Defo check out some more olswel when you can. 'so over it (hookyyy)' is an anthem.
take my energy, get a grip, and DOPE1 are my favs on the album :D
crash bandicoot sample on the track In your face! is one of my favorite parts.
absolutely beautiful album

Album is amazing, for me not as good as Get Of The Internet for AOTY but definitely up there.
Brown & Gammon was two people! Dope1 kind of reminds me of Python by Dodge & Fuski
maybe cover the new Saka EP 🤔
LETS GOOOO
Just enjoy the album! 🥹🙌
Candidate for aoty for sure...
we're so back
electronic AOTY, possibly AOTY as a whole. not overhyped in any way imo
Getting lots of isoXO vibes all throughout, and it's very distinct in its style. Very decent album for sure
I feel like it was inspired a lot by hyperpop

Pretty cool album, not 100% my taste but some very nice moments definitely
