- This week is a build video on the walnut dining table I just finished for my home. I went with a more modern look for this one. Love how the Rubio Monocoat Pure turned out for the finish.

Very well done. Easy to follow. Easy to listen to. You hit the high points and fast forwarded through your procedure. The worst videos out there, and there millions, are those people out there that go on and on and on about nothing. Those people I think just want to hear themselves talk. Such a well made refreshing, clear, concise video. Thank you. Please make more like this.
Glad you found it helpful
Nicely done. No annoying cheesy music tracks to endure.... thank you and do more like this
Thanks and I have some others planned
You should do more build videos Jason this one is great!
Thanks buddy. I felt a little awkward cause it was new to me.
Simply Excellant
Beautiful table
Thanks!!
I love this! you are awesome!
Thank you!
Nice presentation. 😊
Thanks
Your shop is so clean I’m way impressed. And your skill another level.
Thank you
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome
The end results is what counts. Looks great.
Thank you
Let me know of what you guys think or let me know if you have any questions below!!
How did you attach the top to the base? Small angle brackets?
Beautiful. Elegant. Simple.
Thank you! 😊
Walnut is such a beautiful wood, was admiring the table top pieces before glue up. An awesome job, very beautiful.
Thank you!!
Nice woodworking and carpentry skills!
Very nice
Thanks!!
Beautiful table, Jason. I think you should do more video builds. This one was just enough content to be interesting but not long enough to be boring.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
For me, being new to woodworking, I loved the process and the final product. The finished looked beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it
thank you looks good
Thank you
Amazing 🤩
Nice build have a blessed day
Really enjoyed how you took your time just to be on the safe side and provided the table some extra stability using those brackets. Very nice!
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice table, and great video ... so many demo videos on YT lack a good voice-over explanation, so appreciated the commentary along the way.
Glad you found it helpful
Im looking through youtube to build a table for myself and I watched probably about 20 vids on making tables. This is the best one, and I'm going to make one just like yours. Love the vid, thanks for making it.
Glad you enjoyed it
Outstanding. Beautiful project.
Thank you 😊
That table is absolutely beautiful! Love the dark tones of Walnut.
Thank you. Very happy with it
That my friend is a beautiful table 👍👏 First video of yours I've come across and I think it's a great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you! 👊🏼
Beautiful table and craftsmanship. Thanks.

Excellent video, thank you for your time and expertise!
You’re welcome
Bravo! Great design and professional execution

Plain and simple yet very impressive. Beautiful work.
Thank you
Your work is Inspiring and I like where you're going with the build video. I'm sure everyone else would agree that you should do more videos like this.
Thank you, the feedback has been great so far!
That's an absolutely gorgeous modern farmhouse table, Jason. I really like the narrative style of build video like this. I certainly hope you continue making them. It was a fun watch with a fantastic end result.
Thank you! I’m glad that you enjoyed it!
Keep the build videos coming! Awesome table Jason👍👍
Thanks
Awesome job man. That table is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Great video! You explain things so well.
Thank you!
Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you 😊
Really enjoyed your video it's a beautiful table and I love how you took it from rough lumber to workable Lumber and yes it would be nice to see more like this
Thank you!
Really nice. I’ve been super happy with “pure” Rubio on Walnut. Also got a chuckle at you playing wack-a-domino while gluing the table top.
Pure is my favorite by far!!
Very nice table. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you and you’re welcome!
I really enjoy your projects. Great vid and great craftsmanship. Keep building and posting.
Thank you!
Beautiful work and shop!!
Thank you
Personally, I would love to see more build videos. Overall, I do enjoy the content you've producing. Thanks for all the hard work you put into making quality videos for us 👏
Once I retire next year and have more time, I will be doing more build videos
I really liked this video. But I really liked this table even more! Awesome work! Keep making more videos like this.
Thank you!!
Beautiful project
Thank you!
Beautiful table. Love my dudes at Peachstate Lumber!
Yeah they are great! Awesome selection
Great video Jason.. gotta do more! Only suggestion would be to explain the little stuff you do like C channels etc. for the people who learning. I love learning from the pros, priceless
Thanks. Glad that you liked it. I have multiple links to technique videos throughout this one. Also, this weeks video will be on c channels 👍
I really enjoyed this video. Straight and to the point. I'm hoping to build a very similar table in the next 6 months or so. Thank you for posting!
Thank you! Happy to hear you liked it
Great video, thanks for adding all the links to the tools you used!
Thank you! And you are welcome Sir
Big fan of this one! Liked what I learned
Glad to hear that
Nice piece Bent! great illustration of the process Thanks
Thank you!
Very helpful for me and clear in your manner. Thanks.
Thank you
Looks amazing!
Thanks!
Came out great Jason! I'd have to say I love the Rubio product as well. I did a build for my sons nursery and right before finish Justin from Rustic talked me into using Rubio... I'm super happy he did. Easy application and low maintenance. Can't wait to see what's next!
It’s an awesome finish!
Outstanding build and video! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much
Nice build. I love the finish.
Thank you
Awesome build and the table is incredibly beautiful! I've really been enjoying your content since you've been in your new shop. Keep up the good work and I'd love to see more project builds.
Thank you. There will be many more in the future!!
fantastic build Jason and awesome video! Thanks for using Rubio!
Thank you for providing it and Allan 🤣
This is awesome. I like this format!
Thank you!! 👊🏼
Very interesting video...lovely table!!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video. This is 100% what I was envisioning for a pile of walnut I found from my late father! I was nervous to use the 1” boards for the top as I wasn’t sure the dowels or maybe I need to look into dominoes would work. I will definitely save this video as a guide.
Glad you found it helpful
Great build and video.
Thank you!
Beautiful video and you used several techniques I have been wanting to try. I am working on a walnut trestle table for my wife now and after seeing the Rubio monocoat on this table I might have to switch from Arm R Seal and give it a try. Thanks for the video!
It’s a great finish. I also really enjoy Arm r seal
I've seen this before. I just bought a Domino this past week. I can't wait to use it to build my table. This walnut is beautiful. Thanks for the build video.
You’re very welcome 😊
Definitely enjoyed the build. The table looks amazing!
Thank you!! 😊
Really nice job!
Thank you!
Looks amazing, brother.
Thank you 👊🏼👊🏼
Great build Jason. You did an excellent job with this build video. The videography was good and well narrated.
Thank you!
Nice !!!
Thanks!
That is a gorgeous table. I like the C-channel. I'm getting ready to build my daughter a table and this helped me decide between breadboard ends and c-channel. I think the c-channel is a classier look. Thanks
Glad you found it helpful
Thought he video was very well done. Hope to see more in the future!
Thank you. I do plan to do more in the future
Beautiful table! Great build video
Thank you!!
Well done, well explained, subscribed.
Thank you
Very nice. Would love to get to that skill level. Thx for the tip on peachstate...gonna pay them a visit
They are great! Awesome selection.
This was a great instructional vid, many thanks. Expanding on that, really want to try your technique for the base. Anxious to try tat finish as well. I do a lot of work with walnut and teak, Rubio monocoat should be really nice on teak
Thank you! Really happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Awesome!!!!
Thank you!!
Sharp looking, very simple, great table. 10000' overview is great for experienced folks, but may leave some lesser experienced people behind, but I think they can still glean some good usable info.
Thanks, it’s hard to make something great for everyone. Just trying to provide a good balance
I liked the video and the build. Nice job!
'Jesus Saves'
Thank you
I agree, you should do more builds
I have a few more coming up soon 👍
Awesome video bud! Table is gorgeous!!!
Thanks brother
Wow, that looks amazing! I have a little hall/serving table I'm about to build, and you really have me wanting to try the Rubio on it. I also second the call for more build videos! I felt awkward doing them at first, but after doing a couple I suck at it a tiny bit less, haha.
Thank you! I do plan on more videos like this in the future
You know what I really don't like about this table.... Its not in my kitchen. Very nice table.
Lol. Make yourself one 👍👍
Love the video you gotta do more build videos
Good to know, thanks!
Came out stunning! New subscriber!
Thank you! 👊🏼
you should do more videos like this one, the table is beautiful! i didn't understand why the metal channels were needed though.
Thank you, as for the channels, they probably weren’t necessary for this application but I wanted to try a new technique to learn something new. 👍
You should do more build videos.
I have done a few since this video 👍
Impressive work! You make it look so easy too. We recently built a table/workbench and it wasn't easy at all haha!
It just looks easy on video. I promise anyone can do it though
The big scare for me on flush aprons is that it seems like an inset apron can hide the seam better, however, the seam/joint you showed in the beauty shots at the end was about as perfect as it gets! LOTS of careful tool setup and craftsmanship are required for that so major props. Beautiful table!
Thank you! I appreciate it 🙂
Great table and great video! I had no clue you were in GA, I’m in Marietta and go to peach state myself. I started watching you years ago after my wife got me a dragonfly apron for my birthday.
I think I’m going to copy this design for an outdoor table (just maybe not as fancy, and definitely not walnut!)
I was in cumming. Now I actually live in Indiana
I'm just down the interstate in warner robins
Sir I'm entertaining the idea of building inexpensive solid wood furniture for the less fortunate
I'm only trying to make a little extra spending money
I’m in Indiana now. 👍
@@bentswoodworking hope all is going well for you sir
Instagram: We want to see a build video!
Jason: Oh.. I'm really not prepar- here you go!
Pretty much
Really enjoyed the build thanks for taking the time to do this
Absolutely stunning table
I have yet to try the Rubio finish but it looks amazing
Not sure if it is food safe for the bowls I make
If you shoot Rubiomonocoatusa a message on Instagram, Keith will be happy to answer any questions that you have. 👍
I love that table design and would love to try and build it. Do you reckon it would work for larger dimensions, too? I'd want my table to be 2,10m by 1,10m. Or would that blow it out of proportions (and stability, as it were)?
Wow very nice thank you how many days to build
A few days
Nice video! I guess adding the channel is to help prevent warping, am I right?
Well the apron is suitable for that. However, yes the channel will assist in keeping it flat over time. I did it on the video mainly to demonstrate the technique
Beautiful table. Great video. R u gonna build some chairs to go with the table?
Maybe in the future
great video. How did you attach top to the base??
Beautiful table. We are renovating our kitchen with some open walnut shelving and I think this would tie in perfectly. However what about chairs, did or will you be making any?
Sean Henry we just buy our chairs because we prefer upholstered chairs.
Beautiful table. One step you omitted was how you attached the base to the top. Did you attach to the c channel or how else did you attach the top.
I used z clips
It looks fantastic. Any plans for dining chairs to go with it?
Not at this time.
Great workmanship. That table is gorgeous. When gluing and clamping-up the table top, you didn't have any problems with keeping the table top perfectly flat? Thanks.
Thank you and no, this was one of the best glue ups I’ve had actually
