Love it! Looks strong enough to last a young family with wee ones forever and elegant enough to be the centerpiece for a gathering of adults after the little ones have been locked away in their cells! 😁
Haha, that was exactly my plan while building this
Starting this project this weekend. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Love it - especially like the white oak theme you've been running in your projects. Looks stunning as always
Thanks dude, i really appreciate it
The table turned out great. Your videos are so satisfying to watch and educational.
Thank you so much I really appreciate that
Great build but one question -- at 16:55 you;re drilling holes in the top for screws to pass through and screw into the threaded inserts, but don't you really need to create slots instead of holes -- so that the table top will be able to have seasonal movement?
Such a great table build and I was just as surprised as you that there is no thought of seasonal wood movement. I would surely use slots. All these great build videos but very few show how the finished product looks like a couple of years down the line.
The table will tear itself apart eventually. You have to "float" the top on a solid wood table. Today, in especially dry homes, a top that width could shrink 3/16" over all. But it will do it by expanding and contracting during the seasons as mentioned above.
@@cristiangrigore Yes!
We just drill a round hole, about 1/2" - 5/8" as it's easy and use a fender washer with a wood screw centered in the hole, depending on the width of the table and species of wood.
Softer woods will move even more.
And it's not just the seasons, it's modern heating system that are so dry. Especially in floor radiant heat. In our home with in floor heating, I've see a 3" cabinet door frame shrink 3/32nd"!
My thoughts exactly when I just watched this. Not allowing for movement will be trouble for this table. Other than that a great looking table
What a privilege and joy to watch you complete this project - beautiful work!
FYI, Literally every shot of the final build covered 60% by ads for your channel & other videos... not a single clean shot of what looks like might be a nice table.
Classic youtube tutorial, 1 million dollars of tools for a video that adds nothing the others you find here
I agree. What a terrible time to show the final product. It makes zero sense to do that. SMH
I agree 100%
Everything you make I want to duplicate. Simple and subtle lines. Great job.
Thankyou so much
@@RadDadBuilds Thank you for the great video and the table looks amazing! I’m new to this…how many board feet was that project? Also, what joiner tool did you use (Dynamo)? Thanks!
Love it! Love the happy face sad face tip 👍
Glad you liked it, thanks for the support
Great video, really like the detailed commentary!
So I just downloaded the plans and am excited!
do they come with exact cutting dimensions for every piece?
That was really impressive to watch, such craftsmanship with precision. Great video, well demonstrated - your son will be tackling these in no time.
Thanks for providing blueprints! This was my first build and it turned out to be a great Christmas present for my wife.🎉 🙏🏼
You are very welcome. I would love to see it if your on instagram
Absolutely! I'll tag you when I make a post @@RadDadBuilds
Perfectly made white-oak dining room table! Awesomeness! Jim Greszczuk
Loving the subtle curves on the ends and man! You got game free handing that jig saw upside down and so close to your line lol
Haha thanks, that’s from years of installing kitchens
Looks amazing! I really like the tips you give throughout the videos. It's always great to learn new things.
Thanks dude, I appreciate that a lot
Oh, I've never seen that toothbrush technique for removing glue in the corners. That's interesting!
Great video dude! I love white oak.
Thanks so much man, I really appreciate it
Great build and great video
Fantastic I'm currently got so.e lovely French oak air drying has some lovely splitting so will add resin to it
Thanks, oak and dark resin go together really well. I have another table video on here I built years back and it had tones of splits in it. Turned out awesome in the end
The table turned out so good man. Great build
Thanks bro
I thought your bed video was the best... but this is even better! Keep up the inspiring work Rad Dad!
Thanks dude, I really appreciate that
That is so good man. Well done 👌 I'm about to build a 9 feet dining table and I really like your base 👌 cheers from Sweden
So damn seem less !!! And with your floors it’s just stunning and compliments so well!!
Thank you soo much
Looks amazing! Great job!
Thank you
Awesome stuff mate!
Lovely table! I am such a fan of oak. Knit picking the design...
The design is based on square corners and bevels. I didn't really understood the rounded edges on the stretcher.
How much to hire that Helper you have lol? This table is perfecttion!!
Thanks for sharing. Love your work Rad Dad !!
Achei interessante o painel 3D na sua parede!
I found the 3D panel on the wall interesting!
Hi from Australia.
Great table design.
Love your videos and have subscribed.

Thanks so much dude, I appreciate that
i would have just used a small chamfer on the bottom stretcher. youve got angles galore, just keep em going. doesnt need to really be much to make it comfortable either so it can be a small touch that goes un noticed but if someone does look at it theyll appreciate the continuation of the angled theme.
that being said the way you did it also looks great and im totally biased towards chamfers
Nice build buddy. Curious why you don’t use a riving knife? Just because you haven’t had an accident doesn’t mean you don’t want one 👍🏼
beautiful table sir!
Thanks so much
Excellent concept
Excellent choice of wood
Excellent execution
But oh oh oh !!!
All the sharp edges 😢
May I send you some round over bits? 😊
Çok güzel olmuş 👏👏👏
Thank you
This is so cool, sooooo cool
Great explanation!
Looks great!
I'm so sorry I can't realy see the finished table with all the advertisements. You do such a great work it worth to show the wonderfull result in detail.
New Subscriber, NICE JOB ‼️ Vinny 🇺🇸
Awesome! Thank you!
brilliant, appreciate it.
MEGA :)Love it
01:13 Man, I'd love to have a garage/workshop big enough for it to echo. 😅
Did you oversize the holes on the frame at all to give the top room to move without cracking or cupping? Even room for 1/4” of width expansion should be more than enough
I was wondering the same thing! At the 18:14 mark, it doesn't look like the holes are elongated ... plus, the screw heads are sunk in! I'd be tempted to simply remove the outer screws, leaving only those located on the centerline ... then fit proper clips along the outer stringers.
Agreed. I wonder how this table looks today, after more than year of seasonal wood movement. If this was for a client they might be a bit upset :)@@kennnva551
Did the video start halfway through a sentence? I'm not going crazy am I?
It’s just you bud. Yer nuts. 🤪
Love it.
Great video! Want to try this myself. Do you have the plan/CAD design?
Agree, love the video and detailed instruction!
I would love the plans as well

Rad build 🤙
How do those threaded inserts allow for wood movement when that top expands and contracts?
Impressed with the upside-down jigsaw cutting!
Hogging out so hard!!
Awesome video
This a beautiful frame. Without a domino, would you just use dowels?
Awesome table. Are metric measurements also included in the plans?
Thanks, yes you get both
Love the build! Me and my girlfriend are huge fans of your style and white oak theme. Are you not worried about the table top expanding/contracting? I thought for table tops you usually want to use a slotted/pill hole so the attachment points could slide a bit.
Thanks So Much. If I was to build this table for someone else yes I would go with a slotted or a wider hole to allow for wood movement. That said I drilled holes larger than the width of my hardware to allow for slight movement in all directions. Plus this table went into my own home where I can control the climate and environment to minimize wood movement.
I'm happy that I came across your channel. Great video, gorgeous table. I want to build this. Do you know an estimate of board feet you used?
Would have been nice to actually see the finished product...
Great build and awesome presentation. I'm doing a table build with castle joints right now.
Do you ever use metal channel underneath to ensure the table top will never warp? Thanks.
Thank dude, so if I where making a table from wide live edge or lumber wider than 10” each then yea I would likely use some channel underneath. As I built this table for myself and it’s in a controlled environment I didn’t feel it was necessary
Beautiful. How much was the wood?
Thankyou about $1100 cad
great video, but pity you covered up the final product with windows for other videos. Hard to see the final product.
Hi. I bought the plans, and want to make a longer version of this table. I'm a beginner. Will I need additional supports if the table is longer, or can I safely stretch the dimensions using the same design?
Where do you buy the oak planks from?
How did you join the table top with the legs? Lol
How did you come up with the angle (80°) for the legs?
Did you make those black chairs too?
What did you spray on those threaded inserts? Did I miss something? Lol Great vid and awesome build!
Thanks dude, it’s the activator for the glue
Great video and the only table I have seen yet that I want to own. Guess I'll have to build it. Any plans?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
What were the table dimensions? What length did the top sections of your A-frame come out to be?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
Is it ok to also glue the base to to oak top?
Beautiful! I am Currently making this table according to your plans. Do you sand the base before assembly at all?
I would give it a light sand before and a finish sand once the glued together
How much board feet did you order for this table? I know you give dimensions for each piece in the plans but not board feet needed to order
Very Nice! Will the building plans be available anytime soon?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
May I ask what software you're using to visualize it ahead of time?
Roughly what did the wood for this project cost? I'm just looking at a ballpark figure so I can share the possible cost with my wife. Thanks!
120 bf, for white oak here in b.c Canada cost around 900$ cad total. The cost will vary depending on wood type and location. Here in B.C hardwood is crazy expensive.
Do you have to adjust the Domino jointer to 80-degrees when you made the holes for the A-frame legs and top piece? Or does it always stay at 90-degrees?
I'm a beginer. When you wash off joints with a tooth brush, are you using water? Thanks.
Yea water. A wet towel works good too
Beauty! Are you able to tell me which Osmo product you used to finish this? Looks like 3051 Raw but cant tell for sure... Thanks!
You got it correct. I mostly use “raw” on white oak
I thought the plan would be emailed to me. So now what do I do please?
Any plans available for this?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
Love table. Are plans available? Thanks.
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
Lumber cost? Total, BF cost, and total BF?
120 bf, for white oak here in b.c Canada cost around 900$ cad total
Do you offer build plans for this table? I didn’t see them for sale on your website.
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
did the tabletop bow? why did that happen?
It didn’t
Bought a table plan and it is supposed to come by drop box but it hasn’t.
is this white oak ?
Correct, my favourite wood to work with by far
Do you have plans for this build?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
Osmo Oil dont recommend a 300 grit finish. So why did you do it ?
You cut a 10 degree angle!
Is it possible to list the dimensions?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
THIS WOOD AINT CHEAP PEOPLE ,JUST BUY A GOOD TABLE,😂😂😂😂
Love these videos, but hearing a British accent using American terminology is taking me some adjustment!
Hahah yea I can understand the confusion. Thanks for watching regardless of my weird accent.
"that lasts a lifetime" - you don't need the apostrophe. It's not a contraction of 'life is' or 'life has'. Sorry. I'm an English teacher. 😁
Domino… again.. always. :(
“Last generations” but out of style in 20 years.
This table is so sick. Do you have the plans for it?
raddadbuilds.com/downloads/
What was the thickness of your top boards?
Nice build buddy. Curious why you don’t use a riving knife? Just because you haven’t had an accident doesn’t mean you don’t want one 👍🏼
TBH my saw was purchased used and it never came with one. If it did likely it would still be on there. Thanks Dude
