  • At the Center for Human Reproduction, we often use DHEA as part of our patients' protocols. In this video, Dr. Gleicher shares quite an interesting story detailing exactly how we came about using DHEA for infertility.
    Over the past 40 years, the Center for Human Reproduction has gained a worldwide reputation as the fertility center of last resort. When women have tried everything, and when everything else has failed, they come to us. And regardless of the difficulty of their infertility issues, we work with them.
    We are the fertility center the whole world turns to.
    We fight for every egg and embryo.

      When I first watched CRC videos, read a wonderful egg quality book by a phd and dozens of studies, I was a 36.5 yr old with failure to achieve pregnancy after multiple attempts. Blood tests revealed an elevated fsh and low amh and vit d, in Jan 2017 I was still trying for my first but no ivf attempts as we were not interested.
      I ordered several labs on my own through quest lab based on the information from Dr. Gleicher’s videos and M Sklar that our initial reproductive endocrinologist ordered as well as several she didn’t such as the vit d, dhea, testosterone free& total among others. Also, that endocrinologist told me Ivf was my only option and even that would be unlikely. My AFC was 2 as well.
      My testosterone levels were not at the recommended upper 1/3. I purchased Pure Encapsulations (PE) DHEA 25 mg and took it three times a day plus blue bonnet coq 10 600 mg and PE vit d mega dose x 12 weeks. I became pregnant in April 2017 with no ivf and my second spontaneously the second time in 2019.
      I hope this helps!

    What if you have high amh(6.37ng/dL) but low testosterone, serum 11ng/dl and 2.6pg/ml? I can't take myoinositol to help bc it lowers testosterone and I can't take dhea bc it's indicated for dor patients, which I don't seem to have. I assume I have pcos but maybe the hypoandrogenic type. What do I do for this? Eta: I am 35 and been trying for 2 years for 3rd baby. My doctor wouldn't do fsh but my E2 was 14.06pg/ml on day 4 of cycle and dhea (doctor didn't test dhea(s) was 207ng/dl. Lh 5.2 miu/ml. All done on day 4 of cycle. I typically have 35-40 day cycles with ovulation occurring on day 19-24.

      @@elaineginger122 hi Elaine! I am still ttc unfortunately. I just turned 38. My RE says I don't have pcos, just a naturally high egg reserve...even at my age it is still high. My antral follicle count is 24+. What we believe I'd that I have endometriosis. My receptiva dx h score was 3.4. I can either do depot Lupron and IVF or continue to try naturally after having a laparoscopy. I've had multiple chemical pregnancies between my last comment here and this one. I also had chemicals between my first and second kids. This was also a sign that something other than a PCOS diagnosis was going on, as I always ovulate. Historically my ovulation has always been later than average but seems to be normal for me. Now, it's getting more consistent as I've gotten older and I always ovulate by day 19 or earlier. None of the IVF doctors I have consulted in Australia use DHEA. They say the literature doesn't support it and they know nothing about it. Or if they are more experienced they say they used it in the past and didn't find it worked. I'm using DHEA because standard treatments available for me in Australia have not worked so why not try it? But its not something that is typically suggested out here.

    Why your success rates are very low according to CDC data?

    • @pippilotta3511
      @pippilotta3511 3 роки тому +1

      I don’t know if that’s true but if it is then the reason would be that they take a lot of difficult and challenging cases that have had many failed cycles and / or have been given up on by other doctors or not accepted to not ruin their success data. Happens all the time. Clinics with lower success rates have to be checked for the age of their patients and what kind of patients they treat. Obviously they do have a magic pill but if they work with more difficult cases then lower success number are a given even for those guys. I worked with a clinic in California and they were famous to be the best with difficult cases. I looked at the cdc success numbers and they were lower than the other fancy clinic in that area but my clinic took many many very difficult cases and were not afraid to lower their numbers. There’s always a context to numbers ;)

      @@pippilotta3511 What? You dont trust CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)????? So I assume you should have not taken vaccination or any other covid guidelines from CDC. Plus, the data are approved by Dr. Gleicher. Also they report the stat of infertility in the patients for the clinic: what percentage had diminished ovarian reserve? or male factor or tubal factor and so on. I compared their data with other centers again according to cdc data and chr unfortunately looses the battle. So having hard to cure patients is not the reason for this low outcome. In addition I checked their review online according to patients and it was very bad as well.

      @@zeymo8245 apparently you haven’t really read what I wrote and you are not able to NOT think in black and white. Such a pity. Such a waste. I’m vaccinated. I also know the difference between success data of different kinds of cases. My doctor had on paper less success than another clinic in my area. But he was the better doctor for me because he had experience with difficult cases and older women just like Dr Gleicher. If you don’t understand the difference then that’s not my problem. Have a great life!

      @@pippilotta3511 I have read your comment but I feel the same that you dont really read my explanation. Please go back and read my comment very carefully. If you have done vaccination this means you trust cdc. So please trust their IVF success document as well. Also in the CDC report, the ivf success is documented by age and unfortunately Center for Human Reproduction did not have a good result for older women as well (what you mentioned). I recommend that you check the success rates of CDC. It is a long document which has lots of details center by center. By the way, what is the excuse of having very bad reviews for their center and for Dr. Gleicher? I am also surprise why you defend their center. Any benefit? or what?

    • @pippilotta3511
      @pippilotta3511 3 роки тому

      @@zeymo8245 I understand that you’re concerned. I have never met Dr Gleicher or visited his center or anything like that - so no benefit. However he has done many studies on PGT and published them (and I have read them) and he has also reviewed many studies that proof his point and the data doesn’t lie. I don’t know about their stats and I have never checked them. Frankly I do not care enough. He is a great scientist and a smart outspoken person and I am grateful that he puts information for people like me out there that is very helpful. I live in Europe and we don’t do PGT because it is unreliable. He’s saying the same thing and US Americans do standard PGT testing everywhere and it ruins a lot of people’s lives. Not just because they don’t get pregnant but because it drains them financially on top of that. It’s horrific! The whole IVF industry in the US is disgusting honestly. It is so crazy expensive and on top of that they’re selling them PGT which makes it even more expensive with no benefit. It really is shameful. Dr Gleicher is one of the few people who speak out against this scam. And that’s why I am defending him. I believe in the data (not his clinic) - the data that shows that PGT is harmful.
