I was watching your videos after having 5 abortions consecutively for no apparent reasons. I did many blood tests including factor 5 Leiden, other blood clotting disorders, endometrial reaction I forgot the test name. But with prayers especially I write down god's word in a note book and prayed - along with that did deworming, vitamin 50000 iu, vitamin e, calcium iron tablets to combat anemia, I became pregnant in 2020 and 2021 and god blessed me with one boy and one girl

I totally agree! Why does a woman have to go through repeat miscarriages. Find the underlying cause after the first incident. These days doctors (insurance companies) want you to have 3 on record before they can truly help. Grr
Even post 3 and testing, 60% still won't get an answer as to why.

How are miscarriages investigated? Is the fetal tissue collected during the miscarriage? God, what I would give to have a knowledgeable doctor on my side right now. Imagine having a medical professional invested enough to take the extra step and answer the "why". Imagine.
My wife misscaried yesterday (first pregnancy ever). Her OBGYN has already suggested doing these aditional tests mentioned by Dr. Gleicher. She did mention that in other countries (we live in Mexico) the system was more rigid regarding testing for other things right away... I don't get why anyone would make you wait and go through loss multiple times before trying to identify a deeper problem.

I live in the U.S I've had 5. After my 2nd one I demanded testings... They made me wait till my 3rd one to do some testing.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. It helps me to know I am not having unrealistic expectations. My OBGYN basically told me that there was no point in doing any additional testing to find out why I am having a miscarriage. That seems ridiculous to me.
Unless its repeat then probably not worth testing. My experience, 1 miscarriage, 1 live birth then 5 years later repeat miscarriage. I feel as if I have some type of blood or immuninological issues which has had no symptoms. if you want to be safe go ahead & test it can never hurt. Remember miscarriage initial intent is to prevent a baby from forming which is abnormal. So its a good and bad. Good when that is all the issue, and bad when the baby is not abnormal and you miscarry. The later scenario according to medical science indicates some other issue.

You will need to switch to a fertility clinic, OBGYNs are not fertility doctors. You will then need to demand a series of tests to check blood for prolactin, hypothyroid, a post coital exam to check for infections that may kill off sperm and cause inflammation, you can request a killer cell test (there is a clinic in Chicago that does this test), check for fibroids, check for endometriosis, etc. Do your own research and don't take no for an answer. If you don't know what is causing miscarriages you can freeze eggs until you figure it out.
I had multiple issues that other clinics missed: low progesterone, a prolactinoma, a thyroid condition, bv infections killing off my spouse's sperm, killer cell, and estradiol levels that would drop if my workplace was too stressful or if I exercised too much causing me to not ovulate some months. My first 5 doctors missed it. My 6th doctor only diagnosed the prolactinoma after two years of failed IUIs and a failed IVF. I finally got a new Dr. who was very patient and thorough to help medicate and monitor all of this.
Clinics should screen clients for all the potential issues before IUI and IVF treatment. It's not fair or ethical for us patients to ask for help and then find out years later after spending thousands of dollars that simple tests and medications could have saved our eggs and allowed us to have a baby.

Now i had a miscarriage in 2007 than i got pregnant with daughter 6months later, my daughter is now 15 years old, ive been with my fiancee for 9years and i just got pregnant by him and i had a miscarriage in February 23,2024 and i was 6weeks and 3days, same as i was when i miscarried my first one. Now the obgyn tolded me it was a chromosome so now im trying to have another one. They also said because i havent had a child in 15 years and because i just turned 35 and my fiancee will be 45 in November. I kept my body healthy every test results and blood work came back great, but i still dont know what chromosome had the embro/fetus stop growing but they just say it was a chromosome and the baby would have came out with down syndrome or some type of disabilities. Broke my heart.
How much do you focus on diet with these women? It seems that diet has a huge impact on autoimmune issues. Specifically gluten and dairy.

I believe I figured out myself why I’ve had 2 miscarriages. I have a daughter . Before my daughter I had a miscarriage then I started taking fertility pills and planned my daughter and ended up going with a fullterm pregnancy, she’s now 13 months . I just had a miscarriage a few days ago and I didn’t do anything to boost my fertility. I think I just simply need an immune/fertility boost. I wish I had known I would get preg I would have been prepared. I will be next time because we are trying again in a few months 🙏🏽

Very insightful. My grandfather had diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis that left him hospitalized for a year with an honorable discharge from the airforce. I know that I have arthritis but it is not technically diagnosed. Regardless if it is why I had my recent miscarriage or not, I will begin treating my arthritis. Thank you sir.

I’ve had 6 miscarriages and I have 4 autoimmune diseases and I feel like doctors in Scotland don’t get it 😢. I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome - was on blood thinners when pregnant

Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis - (no treatment)
And autoimmune hepatitis - on prednisone and also Azathriopine but I feel like the doses aren’t enough.

I found that the oral/vaginal progesterone medications did not work well for me and my levels varied. I have low progesterone which makes it hard for me to stay pregnant. I found out that the shots work very well and are covered by my insurance. I was able to get used to giving myself the shots and I'd rather take them since they gave me very good progesterone levels. I just wish I could figure out and cure the reason my body does not have high or good progesterone levels naturally.

Thank you for this information! I have hypothyroidism. I was just in the ER for bleeding. I am 9 weeks pregnant, and after 4hrs of tests, and ultrasounds, I was told there's a threat for miscarriage. I was told that I just have to wait it out. I'm devastated, and wished someone had explained this to me. If hypothyroidism is a big factor in miscarrying, I need to seek a good endocrinologist and go from there.

Thanks for video- I wanted to hear HOW you treat with you have ANA/immune markers. I’ll ask about anti inflammatory and or immunosuppressant meds at my next MFM appt. I’m 37 MC at 8wks post heartbeat at 7wks. Didn’t do analysis as it was 2k and first so insurance didn’t cover it, now wish I did. I’m a complex case in that lupus Anticoagulation and high factor viiii found during early pregnancy. Also, I have positive ANA and hx of hashi’s and sjogrens (no active antibodies). Will try again here next cycle wish us luck!

Can taking an anti histamine such as Claritin help in these cases? I've had several chemical pregnancies and I have elevated auto immune markers in my blood test and my body tends to be very sensitive (seasonal allergies, sensitivity to costume jewelry, etc...). I take the supplement Quercetin everyday as it is supposed to help but I'm wondering if a Claritin might help? Great content! Thank you!

Hello, firstly, thank you for this informative video. After my 2nd pregnancy and during my 2nd cesarean section in May 2021, my OB informed me that I have a septate uterus. I became pregnant in August 2022, and miscarried the following month in September 2022. I was 6 weeks gestation. My question: how high are the risks of miscarriage due to septate uterus, even after 2 successful pregnancies? I would like to know if I need to have surgery or do anything different for future pregnancies.
What's a septate uterus? Causes?
@@anonanonymous1970 It’s when a membrane or “septum” runs down the middle of the uterus, causing it to split into two parts. I believe it’s when the uterus fails to fuse together into one whole organ during that phase of formation. It’s a congenital defect so it’s present at birth and there are no known causes.

I have had 3 reaccurent miscarriages and have been tested for antibody test, chromosome analysis and lupus, all three came back negative/ normal. Also, I have had 3 surgeries due to reaccurent overian cysts, and I have hypothyroidism. Am now 33 years old. Between my miscarriages I was in age range 30-33. It's still unclear why I have had 3 miscarriages. After my 3rd miscarriage I have been referred to a high risk obgyn. I'm not sure what else to do. I am to go with the flow of the doctors and hope they will be able to help me.

Gosh this is frustrating. How can I treat Rheumatoid Arthritis in early pregnancy? I was told there’s no safe medicine and have intense inflammatory muscle and joint pain. I am doing progesterone, anti inflammatory diet and supplements, etc. so what else can I do? Repeat miscarriages at 7 weeks. Eggs healthy. Sperm healthy, implantation happens. Hcg never quite gets high enough. How do we immunosuppress for me to sustain? No doctor knows or will even talk about this with me :(

Im in her boat and now seeking testing. Had I known what I know now I may have saved some heartache and pain. Find a good doctor that really cares and willing to run the tests and investigate her situation. New research is changing the way things are, but not a lot of the doctors thinking. How do you know it was chromosal abnormalities so early?
@@CrystalM1917 the OB/Gyn told me, due to the chromosome abnormalities, the fetus couldn’t developed and stopped at 5th weeks. Now I have 3.5months healthy baby girl, I guess I did not get lucky with the first fetus.

I would like to add it that females should prefer testing themselves conveniently so they can prevent further miscarriage(God Forbids), its better then suffering the pain and depression phase again as that is more costly then the other factors.

can vaginal ultrasound after IVF cause early miscarriage? I am 51 years old, and in February I was pregnant with twins, but 4-5 weeks after vaginal ultrasound I started bleeding and lost the first embryo, and 2 weeks later, after the second vaginal ultrasound I lost the second too.
There was a case where a woman had to have her cervix sewn shut to prevent it from opening, you can google that video. Also always check for low progesterone and monitor thyroid levels and prolactin levels.

I had the same experience and I’m 26 years old…I was pregnant doing well I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks my baby had an heart beat soon after the ultrasound finished blood rush down my leg..I was put on progesterone pill it didn’t help I ended up miscarriage at 7 weeks 2 days
Im 7 weeks preg and at 5 weeks my dr put me on progesterone 200mg suppositories from previously 2 miscarriages. The side effects have been unbearable. I'm extremely nauseous all day long. Constantly out of breath. My Dr now wants me to stop taking the progesterone because she's concerned about me being out of breath. Wondering if this may be due to my progesterone levels being too high with the added suppository.
Why not trying one day interval suppository or lower the dose to 100mg . I strongly believe progestérone can’t do us wrong , you are blessed your doctor is knowledgeable! Please consider just not stopping it cold turkey ! God keep you safe mama .
I took progesterone shots and they were great, they kept my progesterone levels very good. The shots seemed scary at first but now I'm a pro at giving them to myself. I had issues with the oral vaginal progesterone pills. Try the shots, they are cheap too.
My dr ended up advising me to stop the progesterone altogether and I am now at 14 weeks and all is good. Baby is doing great thank God
