a bit ago, I realized I've never actually showed how to crochet on this channel so here's an official video for anyone who's either a beginner or wants to get back into to :) I hope you enjoy
Hi! I'm not sure if it is a problem on my end, but the timestamps are unfortunately not working. I will be watching the whole video anyway but I will notify you just in case there are people who need them and can't find them :)) Thank you for this lovely guide here!!
@@bujobellel5941 thank you for letting me know! I just fixed them so hopefully it's working properly
@@ikoxun Yep, it is now working properly! Thanks for fixing it! Love your videos and they inspire me so much and you made me want to crochet :) Keep up the good work!!
Hey! Unrelated but are an ikonic (wondering because of your user lol)?
Hi! Will you be making a video like that for knitting too? That would be super helpful:)
I have been crocheting for almost 4years and I can’t believe how fast u learned and how much u already made ✨🤌, can u please make more recreation videos
I agree! The way she can break down articles of clothing into shapes is next tier.
Do I know how to crochet? Yes. Did I watch the whole video just because I like your voice and the way you explain things? Also yes
Same
wow! i wish this video was available when i started crochet-it really is a great guide to start crocheting. even as someone who’s been crocheting for over a year now, this was still very insightful and helped me learn a little more! thanks so much for making this video for us :)
Same
yess! also i love ur profile pic! taylor is the best
as a design student i find your videos incredibly satisfying to watch (i love the aesthetic!)
i just got into crochet and love your simple and slow explanations 🤎 i think it would be awsome if you made a video on reading crochet patterns with all the abbrevations, i struggle a lot when it comes to these 🥲
gal you've covered EVERYTHING 😮😮
the love you put into your videos is incredible. i hope every beginner finds this video because it really has everything you need to know, some of which i didn’t even learn about until later on because my first sources hadn’t mentioned them. amazing job as always!!
You do not know how much I needed this video when I first started crocheting 😅
Can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful her hair is though 😍❤️❤️
I love watching your videos while I crochet, your voice is so calming and it makes me happy to watch you crocheting too. I’m really happy for a new video! Thanks for making a new video, I’m really happy and excited to watch!
Thanks for this outstanding video! I always love the Studio Ghibli scenery you incorporate in the clip! Very cute 😻❤
I love this video!! I’ve been watching ur channel for about a year now and u have always been excellent at explaining. u should make a ‘guide to knitting’ video - u seem pretty proficient at it as well!!
❤️I have no idea what to say this time but "The (almost) ultimate guide on how to crochet " is the most amazing video I have seen It really is a great help for beginners.
🧡 I'm so happy you put in a section on how to decrease I've been wanting to learn how to do that for a while now and now I finally can.
💛 The section on blocking is so helpful now I understand how to block any big crochet project.
👑 Stay Cool Queen 👑
Aww, ikoxun! I adore you :)) It's obvious how passionate you are about your craft (UA-cam included) and how much time and effort you put into all of your videos! This one would have been super helpful to me when I was a beginner, so I'm commenting to boost the algorithm hehe. Also please remember to take a break from time to time to look after your mental and physical health
thank you for the tip and your kind words :,)
Thank you so much. I was struggling so much. As always your tutorials are amazing, and I really appreciate them, cause crocheting is new to me. TYSM!!!❤️
I love your long ass videos man ❤️ I appreciate all the super cute edits and details so so much omg. You’re the best 💕
I just discovered your channel and can’t tell you how blessed i feel! and for this to be your newest video is such a gift! thank you for sharing 🧡
This video is done so well! Super informative and I loved how slow/clear you were with instructions. I wish this video was around when I first took up crocheting! Seriously, well done 💛 I always look forward to watching your videos and getting re-inspired ✨
Holy grail of crochet info !! you can rlly tell how much love went into this video !!!
this video is just insane. so well done and aesthetically pleasing and cute and detailed and helpful for beginners AND non beginners like me even. thank u so so much for all ur hard work, ur truly incredible 🥺😭
wow, if this isn't the ultimate guide for crocheting. the effort, that went into that video and the aesthetic. i love it, keep going. 💜
you're an absolute ICON, thank you for the thorough tutorials.
and your sense of style is gorgeous
You are so generous to offer so much guidance and information in such an organized and thorough way for beginners. i appreciate you so much! I just discovered your channel and have been loving your videos! You are so extremely creative and talented. Your videos and energy inspires me ❤
Omg I low-key wanna make this type of video even tho I'm a crochet beginner! I really wanna branch out with yarn types I think my lion brand yarn is an acrylic wool blend
i crochwt for around 4 years and this is made so good and explains everything perfectly! its amazing as every your vid, im a big fan of you
Thank you so much for this I just began today and I wanted to cry when I started and prayed to find an ultimate guide such as this so thank you for ur knowledge 🙇🏻♀️
YESSS! Thank you so much for this video. I know most of the beginner stuffs, but this is a wonderful refresher!
❤ I love this videos! As a beginner, they are amazingly helpful. All of your videos are
ooh cannot wait to watch this! i've been crocheting for just about 3 years now but I'm sure I'm still going to learn some things from this video! i never actually learned how to properly block, and I just made a cardigan that i need to block and shrink in the wash (it stretched sooo much while i was working on it) so i can't wait :D
Tysm for this!!!! I’ve been wanting to learn how to crochet for years but this is the video that made me start! I made a bucket hat and I love it so much :) Even though I was following a tutorial for beginners I referred back to this video a lot for help. The way you explain and demonstrate things is really easy to follow!
I recently started crocheting again and I couldn’t be more happier with this video 😍🤍
Thank you for making this I've been struggling to make garments for my summer outfits 😭
I've been crocheting for a little over 3 years now you have no idea how badly I wish this video existed when I first started out, would've saved me so many headaches 😅
amazing video!!!! I want to cry bc I felt so overwhelmed when I realized I wanted to start crocheting and didn’t know what to do! you really broke it down for me and I can’t wait to start my new hobby. ❤❤w
I love that film, i would have sold my soul for a video like that when i was a begginer
Thank you so much for creating all these amazing videos and sharing your wealth of knowledge 🥹
I just started learning how to crochet this week. This video was soooo helpful! Thanks for making it!
I really want to get into crochet and this video is super helpful! Thank you so much :)
this is such a good indepth video! i didnt learn anything new but it was still fun to watch, your editing for this is really nice and i liked how you showed example pieces of the different stitches! reminded me i also wanted to make a marceline sweater :D
Yay new vid I love watching these while I crochet
This guide is AMAZING. I really liked that you also showed swatches so we can see how the different stitches looked next to each other and also gave some advice on what you personally used the stitches for. I'm thinking of making a shrug (I've never crocheted before but wanna learn) and immediately thought of your channel and was just gonna watch how you did the stitches as like a visual reference only to find out you made a guide! Thanks a ton ^^
Will you also be making a knitting version of this video? You've taught me things in a way where I was actually able to understand and follow along
Oh my, you are an artist! Your garments are beautiful and functional. But that skirt is exquisite, well done you, I hope you are proud of you. 🎉amazing. You have inspired me to add to my wardrobe, thank you darlin, I hope beginners come across this video, it's brilliant. ❤
This video is SO helpful, thank you so much!! 🥲
Thank you for teaching us ❤ great teacher
I’d love to see one of these for knitting!! I’ve started knitting this week and I’d love to hear your insights :)
this is so helpful!!! thank you so much!!!
I know how to crochet but I’m watching this anyways because your videos are so soothing haha
Thank you so much I crochet a fishnet shrug and it was so easy but now every other project is really hard for me. Thank you for this video. 💕💕
I'm more than halfway through the video- just saw the "how to avoid hourglassing" method. THIS WOULD'VE BEEN SO USEFUL FOR ME A YEAR AGO!!! I was having many problems with hourglassing until I realised I was doing decreases without noticing (this was because I didn't learn about turning chains as well ;-;)
Anyway, this video is really helpful and well-made! I'm gonna recommend it to every single person I know who wants to start crocheting- I wish I had a guide like this when I started!
Yippe! New video release from my favorite crochet youtuber :]]
AAAA SO EXCITED!
Yarn is a huuuge topic, very interesting to go deep in materials, their sustainable score and uses! Here watching eventho i already know how to crochet 💚🙊
thanks love, you're so mesmerizing!!! im for sure returning to this vid when in doubt :-)
just decided I wanna learn how to crochet so this is perfect!!
that's amazinggggg ! I wish it was available when I was a beginner (but still as an intermediate, I learned so much from it )
Fantastic video as always! Got some good tips from it, like the children's foam boards, brilliant. Although I learned recently that wet blocking isn't a good technique for acrylic yarn. Since it essentially plastic, you need to apply heat for it to actually stretch. Apparently steam blocking is supposedly better.
amazing video even though I already know how to crochet. good refresher. also learned something cause always when I chain and crochet I wonder why its a lot bigger so thank you for explaining that.
I recently started blocking projects and just got so play mats 9 for £3.2 from B&Q (like home depot) and bought some pins for like £3
This video is very useful. I wish it was there when I started learning to crochet. I will send it to my friend who wants to learn crochet. I am sure it will be very useful. Thank you for these useful videos and for these beautiful and cute pieces. All the love from Palestine❤❤❤
Yay new video
Thank you very much, this guide is wonderfull
great video!! 💚💚
Instead of using blocking mats you can also get “anti-fatigue foam mats” I got mine at Harbor Freight
I love ur vids!!!
I've been crocheting for 1 year now and making my Halloween costume and this really helped
off topic but.. THAT INTRO IS SO CUTE LIKE WHAT
I LOVEEE YOUR VIDEOS IVE MADE SO MANY CUTE STUFF ❤️ ❤❤
omg this is so helpful! can you make one for knitting too? i've been struggling a lot to start knitting as a crocheter...
I have no helpful advice, but you’re not the only one who struggles with knitting!!! It’s so hard to learn! My Grandma was amazing at it, she was so fast and followed complex patterns without much thought at all, but when she tried to teach me I couldn’t get anywhere with it. I had her right there guiding me, and even with all her help it was almost impossible to tell the difference between my stocking stitch and rib stitch 😂 I’m attempting crochet for the first time with the help of this video and it’s already much better than any of my attempts at knitting. So try not to be too hard on yourself. It can be difficult as a beginner!
This video would have been so helpful when I started crochet!! I was wondering if you could make a similar video about knitting, since I have been trying to learn it, but there are very few videos that cover knitting as a whole or this good.
you are an ANGEL
I loved the video (btw i love nwjns ASAP in the intro ^_^)
❤❤Nahhh.... The explanation was so good. I need another video like this but for left handed people 😔😭
your videos are the absolute best! one thing I'd like to learn is how to calculate how much yarn you need for project...that always stumps me
lol I always struggle with that too, so I just end up buying extra just in case -- but then the next time I make the same piece, I'll know exactly how much after that :)
@@ikoxun ah I see I see, that's a good tip!..thank youuuu
this guide was so help, you should do a ultimate gudie for knitting tooo.
Thank you soul much💓
Hii! I'm from Brazil and I really love your channel, keep it up ☺️ (I used Google translator)
Can you PLEASE make a guide for knitting? I've wanted to knit since i saw the amazing creations you've made with knitting but I've been really struggling, i really hope you make one
Love your videos! Could you do a guide to knitting next? ❤❤❤
I've been thinking about blocking the cardigan I got from you, i think i might get some foam squares from ross : )
Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!
Thank you so much for your efforts to make this awesome video ❤❤❤❤love from India❤
I wish I didn't know how to crochet just to learn from you! ily
awwww 😭
It would be awesome if u made one for knitting 😭
Idk if you have to but i usually go under the tail and the ring when making stitches into a magic ring.
It was a good video and i really enjoyed watching it.
You should do this video again but with knitting!!!
i need a video like this but for knitting, i love crochet but knit looks so much nicer to me
I love the look of knit a lot better as well
Please do this for knitting too❤
hii i love ur channel and i was wondering if u would ever do like a barbie themed crochet vid? like your green/purple themed crochet vids but with the barbie movie!
me : *finally succeeding to do the magic circle after struggling for 20 minutes*
ikoxun : "the second method is a lot easier"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
😂😂😂
Can you do this for knitting please? I just recently began trying to learn and it is sooo hard.
❤️❤️❤️
The internet frontier. Its a good time.
Ur probably already doing a lot but if you are selling products let us know. It would be so fun to have your product in different spaces to make homey.
❤❤❤❤❤
Do you block the same if your using cotton yarn?
Ты волшебная✨
woaaah thank you so much for this in-depth tutorial, this must have taken ages to make!!! I just have a quick question concerning blocking: do you know whether you have to block your projects again once you washed the garments you created or do they stay in place? Also, have you tried freeform crocheting yet? I´m super interested in that and would looove to see a video for your take on it (since you are my fave crochet person on youtube hehe
hi! i don’t think you’d need to block it every time especially if when you did block it, you stretched it out to where you wanted it to so after washing it later down the line, it’ll just dry to how it was before (i think) (: also i haven’t tried yet but it sounds fun!
ahhh okay that makes sense, I´ll try it out once fall comes around and I can finally start with a cozy cardigan hehe:)) Thank you so much for your help and keep on creating, it always makes me so happy to see what you are coming up with
So how does blocking work if I make a granny square bag? Do you block them square by square or the whole project? And is it necessary to do? 🙈💜
you would block the individual squares :) and it’s not at all necessary! i haven’t blocked any of my bags and they’re still cute and able to be used :)
@@ikoxun great thanku!!
Btw I love you to and and crochet while watching your videos I’m not trying to be rude Mija
i was today years old when i learned i've been doing double crochet wrong for 2 years..... i have no idea what stitch i've been using now
I’m earlyyyyy
