Just got this shell today and I'm ready to make a childhood dream come true.
These bootleg shells can be dangerous. If people start selling these on eBay or whatever and don't advertise that they're reshells, they can get duped into buying a fake console. Especially since some sellers don't understand that these fakes don't have the same value as an authentic version.

It’s never gonna be perfect but all of my mods are aftermarket buttons and shells and I have no complaints

I have my original game boy color pikachu edition but missing the battery cover. gonna get one though
My first game boy ever was a silver Pikachu and Pichu edition gbc I got in 1999 I believe. I got it with a copy of Pokemon Red and Yellow. Got Silver a year later

Is there a recommended drop in replacement LCD for shells with stylized bezels like this one?
I have this same shell with a different lens (power LED is Pikachu's cheek) from when I was a child, but the screen is in desperate need of a backlit upgrade - don't want to get rid of the iconic original bezel lens but I cant find a replacement that doesn't require a custom bezel accounting for a different screen size.
