It's always nice seeing new videos from you, they always have such powerful sensations built into them. I love your passionate works and thank you for this last gift from 2022! Greetings from Italy
What a great gift and a surprise, to let this year end with something great ! Thanks for all the passion, your time and all the work, you always put into ALL of your videos - for round about 15 years already ! See you in 2023 😀
Simply amazing how the French and Citroen teams dominated the 2000s and on. But wonder if this brought upon the changes we see today in the competition, or the changes helped them be successful. Love Loeb. In the beginning, some did not like him, but in the end, most loved him. 👍🤷♂️ Thank you Antti. Always great.
The 1997 regulations made it easier for new teams to join, hence you had Seat, Škoda and Hyundai for a few seasons, everyone was under those same regulations so i don't see why anyone would have such a huge edge over the others. Heck Hyundai had the same Budget as Peugeot and the rest, posdibly even more but they still sucked ass those 4 seasons.
Antti you’re an artist. You’ve made me smile and cry countless times watching these videos. No one can even imagine how much work went into making these. You can make the viewer feel so many emotions while watching, it’s indescribable. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and I wish you the best for every new project you might take on 💪♥️
@@DropkickNation Funny how both Colin McRae and Richard Burns had rally games made about them that are still relevant to this day (Colin McRae rally evolved into the Dirt Rally series and the EA sports WRC 23 and Richard Burns Rally is still relevant with mods to this day because of insane realism)
A lot of attention seems to be on Group B cars and the Martini Lancias these days, and rightly so, but I'd forgotten how epic those Toyotas look in the Castrol colours.
the french/mediterraneans were always super strong. the undisputed kings of monte and tour de corse and most of tarmac events historically. they just took their time to master every terrain and put a proper title contention going. gravel is still statistically the most important terrain which is why finns had an advantage in the WRC. (also finns always had finland/sweden that was natural for them but not for many others) sainz/auriol laid the foundation for the sebastiens by showing it is possible to be from that part of the world and not just be a specialist. auriol and sainz winning rally finland against the finns and swedes in -90 and -92 was unheard of. southern europeans were just not supposed to do that. thats how you knew they were the real deal.
Don’t you forget 70-90s Finnish rally aces Markku Alén and Henri Toivonen. Those three are probably the Top 3 drivers that never won the championship. Obviously there are many drivers close like Mikko Hirvonen, Jari-Matti Latvala, Thierry Neuville and Elfyn Evans. Those four are just from modern WRC days.
Antti, Thank You for yet another amazing montage! Once I pressed play, I just couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Have a great 2023 year and Cheers from Poland!
Hi. thanks for another great video of yours. I wish you good health and happiness in the New Year. happy return home from all the winding roads.👍♥️🎉✌️🥳🥂
Dear Annti! You should add in the list Sandro Munari 1977 and Markku Alen 1978. As such wikipedia did ;) Cheers mate! Keep up the great passionate work that you are doing!
Briliant video as ususal by dear Antti. The truth is that I was expecting to see something like The Champions from Formula 1 with three different musics, but this is also good. By the way for me and many the True World Champion of 1986 was Markku Alen.

Wow. Brilliant. Brings back good memories, especially of rallying in the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s when rallying was at its height. I still watch historic rallying as I prefer that to this modern stuff they use today.
antti is back ... thanks for the video! happy new year, wish you all the best in fulfilling your dreams. keep on racing, focus about the next corner, keep the pedal to the metal and do your very best. kisses and wishes from germany :*

Awesome as always Antti! Just realised watching this that i really like all of them, amazing drivers throughout the field. Yet so sad to see so many of them gone already..

It's been 84 years but the long wait was worth it.

Finland literally bossed the game for so long, up until some French Sébastiens asked for their beer to be hold !
