Great tip Jerry. Good solution. If you ever want to really secure the car, simply take the beauty ring off and take it with you. LOL. On an unrelated question, what type of head unit is that? Is it OEM? It doesn't look it from the video. I like the fact that it takes the entire space and is not simply a double-din with a metra filler piece. Thanks in advance.
You can buy a replacement key fob (key casing) for £35 (uk )then you can just refit your own transponder, alarm circuit board and replacement key, keeps car secure, does not void your insurance, happy days. why risk it for few pounds. If it is for an old banger that is not worth much then fair enough,
What if I have a extra Porsche key for my car, but its not programed for my Porsche it unlocks and locks the far just won't start it! Will this trick work? Or does it have to be programed?
Thinking outside the box, I like it!
I did the exact same thing for a 2004 Ford F150. got copies at Walmart for $2 each. :)

Great idea. Wondering why you rev the car like that when you start it though.
its because the car is shutting off LMAO
That is the immobiliser! You’ve just made your car really easy to steal!

I just tryed it, both keys didn't work! Did that mean I didn't tape the pill in the right spot? I tryed 2 o clock
What if you have a working key blade, but no pill from a previous working key?
This is not a bypass, the chip is still there, a bypass would be to be able to start the vehicle without the chip.
now you can start it with a screwdriver, nice
Mine is doing the same thing I broke my key
great idea....would be helpful to show disassembly of key fob and pic of the pill
Help someone
