I just bought a 01 Boxster for 2,000 dollars. The car runs very well, the body has no damage, everything works except the convertible top and it has no back window plastic. Did I get a good deal on it?
Thanks so much for the plug. I'm glad we could help. We can also program keys for these if you mail us parts. Sometimes its a long way to a dealership. sosdiagnostics.com
The auction yard damaged both of my rear sway bar links too and cracked some of the under-body plastic panels They don't put a lot of care into transporting salvage cars I guess. I ended up buying new ones. It's about 14 years old, so probably about due anyway.
The worst thing about owning a Porsche is not the price for the car/parts, but the attitude of Porsche. I was very surprised that a service manual for my car was not available anywhere. It was very (_______) to buy it without hearing it run. You must have picked it up for a good price. Engine sound healthy. Good to see another manual driver - so many PDK cars. I remember a previous video in which you said the first owner took very good care of the car. Was it then the auction company that created the key situation? All the best
robkal56 yeah it was the auction that zip tied the key to the steering wheel and someone cut the zip tie and stole the key. The whole care with repairs will probably cost me around 7500.
Service manual for Porsche is available, example: bentley publishers porsche boxster service manual (zupimages.net/up/18/32/4xfx.png). What is "Porsche Attitude"? I have a Porsche Panamera Turbo and the worst thing about in my opinion is the repair cost if you're not rich. I didn't buy a Porsche because I'm rich. I got it because it's what I always wanted. The opportunity came and I took it. However, I'm able to get around most of the cost because I do most of my own maintenance. Consider $3000 for brakes at the dealer but do it yourself for $400 or $400 for oil change but do it yourself for $75. Otherwise, I'd have to trade it for a Pontiac Fiero GT. The 2nd worst thing about owning a Porsche is many people assume you're either rich or stupid ignorant with money or by default you shouldn't care about cost. But I'm living proof that you can own a $147K car, keep it in excellent condition for over 2 years now and you don't have to be rich if you have good money-management skills, prepare in advance for disasters and do your own maintenance.

Yeah i think so. The tops can be a bit spend and a bitch to fix though

How much for a 2005 porsche boxster key?

It is because they use fork lifts. Damages most things under a sports car especially.
Great video .
Nice job - I'm rebuilding a boxster myself. The cars are pretty easy to work on, overall.
How long did it take the key to come from Germany?
Your lucky to have Chad from SOS Lock so close!! He is very good and a true professional.
:)

@@hellbent7062 Right on. Same. I don't know/care what people think if they see me driving by, I'm in it for the fun.
