Great video! Just offering a different perspective: What I do is. I let the philo crawl into another pot and airlayer it, establish itself there and then chop it and sell the smaller plant. I have found that this shocks the plant the least and its similar to the chop and extend concept for climbing philodendrons.
Lol at your vacuum comment. I also love vacuuming. For a while, I subscribed to a YT channel called “vacuum wars” haha. I even like watching other people do it and learning about vacuums.
I just got one a little while ago and it’s a baby. Too small to chop and prop right now, but once it’s big enough I’ll create a video for ya showing you the steps I’ll take! 😃
@@PlantswithKevin thanks. These seem to kill the bottom 1 or 2 leaves when propping. Not easy and rooting takes along time even under T8 lights and heat matt
Those are Lechuza pots! 😃 You can find them on Amazon or on Lechuza’s website. 😃 Exact one I got is: Lechuza 15563 Delta 20 Indoor and Outdoor Use, 16" x 6" x 7", Self Watering Planter, XXXX-Large, Charcoal Metallic
@@PlantswithKevin Thank you! I do have one question. Everyone so far says to let the plant dry out completely, so do you water it and let it dry before you add water again or the self-watering is fine?
@@PlantswithKevin I love my gloriosum! I got it around a year ago & it’s growing over the edge of my pot it’s in I was thinking of having it grow into another pot 😅
Like when you repot. Thanks for sharing Kevin!
Thanks so much for watching! :-)
Hey Kevin, great video. Makes me want to get a Gloriosum. I think it’s definitely on the list. The leaves are beautiful!
Definitely get one! It’s been one of my favorite plants to watch grow!
you should!
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from ya! :-)

Thanks for sharing! I love that tip!
yes I have seen this technique!
Beautiful plants you have. I've got about 50+ tropical plants.
WOW! That's quite a collection! :-)
Thank you so much!!! :)

Do you have self heading philodendrons like pink princess? How does propping go when rooting it with one leaf one node?
