😁
I repotted an Alocasia frydek and a Monstera deliciosa into pon about 4 weeks ago. Washing the roots was a bit of a mess and took way longer than I expected. The Monstera is doing well and is getting a new leaf. The Alocasia got rid of 3 little leafs but is also getting a much bigger new one. I didn't use Lechuza but the same mix with just bigger particles (around 5-8 mm) and no fertilizer in it. I think I'm going to repot all my plants into pon. I have used Lechuza Pon for succulents for a little Crassula ovata and it seems to like it as well.
Hope you was able to get rid of yhem its a beautiful plant 🪴
It was a tough battle, but I managed to save it! 😊
You can get predatory mites. I have a big infestation of spidermites on my citrus. I ordered these mites that eat them and their eggs. It comes in little sachets that you hang on the plant.
That's a great solution! Predatory mites can be incredibly effective against spider mites, soil mites, and other pests. I hope those sachets work wonders for your citrus!
I would feel so on display untangling those lights in that window with people walking by 😂
Haha, for real! It’s like everyone’s watching you mess up your own decor! lol
I’m not sure what the bugs are crawling around the soil? I have not tried the diatomaceous earth but looks promising!👏👏👏
Give it a shot! Those bugs are soil mites. Gross little things lol
My plant is doing that good, no blooming, or it's not growing. What should l do
Is not doing that good
It sounds like your Thanksgiving cactus might need a little TLC. Here are a few things you can try: - Light it up: Make sure it's getting plenty of bright, indirect light. A south-facing window is ideal. - Water wisely: Water it thoroughly when the soil is dry, but don't let it sit in water. - Cool it down: Lower night temperatures can help trigger blooming. - Feed it well: A bit of cactus fertilizer can give it a boost. If you've tried all this and it's still not blooming, it might be worth checking the roots for rot or pests. Hope this helps!
Oh I was watching this one vid here on UA-cam and she was stating not to walk around with any plants that have mites, or any other pest’s. They have a tendency to drop onto most area’s around your home, including your kitchen counter where we treat our plants the most. She said to wipe down everything afterwards including your clothes. Not sure how true this is. Js
That's some solid advice! Keeping our spaces clean and pest-free is essential for a healthy home and plants. Thanks for sharing that insight!
What is the difference between flat mites, soil mites and spider mites, or are they all the same
Great question! Flat mites, soil mites, and spider mites each have distinct characteristics and habitats. Flat mites are often found on plants, while soil mites thrive in the ground, and spider mites are notorious for their web-spinning habits on leaves.
These critters took some of my most loved plants, the battle went on for many months but sadly I wasn't able to save them 😔
🥺🥺🥺
I need that tee shirt in pink. Your grow light info is top notch; however, where’s the info on the tee shirt 👚? And, I’m in Mississippi where we’re currently experiencing temps in the 70s. We should have some cooler weather coming in soon though.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you found the grow light info helpful. I believe I got that one off of Etsy a couple years back lol
OOOOOO NOOOOO 🤦🏼🤷🏼

Nice job catch sales😅
Your plants are very nice, iam a plant lover.
You bet! Sale season is the best for plant supplies! 😄
Kevin keep an eye out at HD for Anthurium Doc Block! I’ve seen posts where people are finding them at Home Depot! The pics I’ve seen they aren’t small plants, they have really good sized leaves!
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for those Anthurium King of Spades at HoD! I have a hybrid and I LOOOOOOVE IT!!! :-)
I have 4 Thai Cons and 2 Albos. My daughter is air layering her Aurea so I can have one. I started off with an Albo during covid, my daughter and I went to a small family owned nursery and the lady sold me an Albo she had just received. I think I paid $250 for a 4 leaf, 2 node Albo. My daughter was in love with it so I told her to cut it and take half the plant back to college with her. I love my Albo and I get some gorgeous half moons. I got my big Thai Con the following year as a Christmas gift. It was $375 back then but it was a large 3 leaf fenestrated Thai. I just recently up potted mine too! I have an insanely looooong aerial root growing outside the pot so when I repotted it I coiled it into the new pot. (my soil mix looks a lot like yours but I add tree fern fiber and worm castings to mine, I think it likes it) It was a little difficult to get it out of the pot but I somehow managed. Anyway, the cheapest and last Thai Con I bought was $42 at a nursery. I feel that’s as lucky as I’m going to get. ❤️ love your content!
Love that you and your daughter are into plants together! Sounds like a fun project. Those prices, though-plant shopping can be a wild ride, huh? 😃
I’m speechless at how gorgeous this is! I could stand there and stare awkwardly at your window for a while! That Anthurium….WOW Kevin! That right there would be a dream to have plants displayed like yours! I use a mixture of Sansi clip on lights, Sansi pucks on shelves and Barrina T5 strips in my Rudsta cabinet and on a plant shelf in my room. I purchased some cheap strip lights off Amazon a while back, maybe 2021, and they are still working well. (full spectrum)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the plant display. It sounds like you have a great setup going too-those lights are fantastic for keeping plants happy!
@@PlantswithKevin I love the look of the crates you are using! I found a few vintage crates at a flea market that I’m planning on using. I purchased some at ikea and I stained them to blend in better with my dark floors. I saw how you used them at your previous place.
:&b x😊😊😊
How is this for the avg person???
Super cheap grow light strips under $25. Plus, it doesn't need to be rare and expensive plants, you can fill your home with beautiful more affordable plants. In fact, 80% of the plants featured in my display likely came from a grocery store for under $10 lol. :-)
Most of my plants were $20 or less, many were free, as were some of my grow lights, shelves, and fans. My most expensive plant was $35, and I have almost 200 of them. The most I've spent on this hobby was around $130 for a humidifier that I needed anyways for the upper respiratory issues I develop during winter. You can definitely get these lush results on a shoestring budget!
Great,man
Thank you!!!
😊
:-)
Wow - looks like you grow some of the more challenging species for indoors; yet they all look good. Compliments to you
Thank you so much!! Even more challenging growing them in a state like Colorado lol
Kevin, while using dried perlite you should always wear mask. Those are volcanic glass js
Thanks for the heads up! I'll make sure to remind viewers about safety precautions in future videos.
Looks amazing! If you dont mind oeople stoping by,you can add a little pop of colour with few christmas decorations? 💚🌿🌵🍀💚
We actually just setup our Christmas Tree the day after I filmed this haha. I'm going to do a holiday display for sure come December 1! :-)
Love it ✨

I just use an aroid type substrate for my holiday plant’s
I love aroid mixes too! They really work wonders for a lot of plants. 😊
❤
🙂
All are so beautiful ! Same care and more blooms at diff. times ,love them !!and very good for air purifying Enjoy these beauties Kevin 💚🍀🌵🌿💚
Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm glad you appreciate these beauties as much as I do. They truly bring joy and freshness into our lives!
Every time I buy one of these, all unopened buds fall off without opening. What gives!?
It can be really frustrating when that happens! Sometimes it might be due to handling during transport or just the plant's condition. Have you tried checking the care instructions or asking the seller?
