An update on them: the deal with the three sharks closed and they have already partnered with multiple manufacturers. They make 16 million annually.

They did four very smart things here: the inventor focused on inventing, the business manager focused on managing the business, they got the proof-of-viability, and finally, they got leverage with as many high-level investors as possible in order to scale up super-fast.
Aira later became FreePower and now the founder who came here was in Forbes under 30.
They licensced this tech to Tesla as well.
This is the technology behind Tesla's wireless charger which was just shipped this month

Those companies didn't have trouble doing it. It just wasn't a worthwhile product.
If you know something about those companies they never go 100% on any product. They do it slowly to bring hype and sales year after year.
They gave up on it because there was no demand for it. Too expensive for a charging pad

These two are great at doing business AND developing technology. They are set up for greatness.
This was really great. The inventor is confident and said that he wasn’t familiar with the company Mark was talking about, he didn’t freak out and simply said that was cool. Business partner was really great speaking to the sharks and made a great counter offer. Both of them handled rejection well and they worked really well here.
So proud of them for countering and making a better deal

Impressive! Even a giant like Apple was not able to bring their Wireless charging product AirPower to market due to many technical issues. Also, it was epic he was able to bring all three sharks onboard.
What an amazing deal at the end, very smart entrepreneurs. It gave all sharks a discount if they were ok with 5% rather than like 7, only thing stopping it would be them not wanting to team up but nobody saw an issue with it. Amazing outcome for everyone well done.

The room charger thing Mark was talking about seems awesome.
Mark made a huge mistake on that one. The room charger wont be a thing for long time. In future when devices consume nearly no power it will be a thing cause theres too much loss in transmitting energy over distance. But there are devices where a long range energy transmission will never (or for long time) not work. A scooter or bike batterie...
The room charger won't ever be a real thing. Mark is gambling at this point on his investments

Mark missed on this one. They will not be leapfrogged when in fact they are the frog. These mega big companies like Apple and Samsung have struggled making wireless charging become mainstream. They have released terrible wireless products, all while customers are looking for exactly this. Not only that, but I am confident that these guys are just getting started and will only improve the wireless tech space further.
I guess in theory you could have an entire table that people could use as a charger with this technology. (I have no idea what it would cost)

It's an art of negotiation at that point. I would have proposed all 3 sharks, but definitely asked for more money. After all, they were giving up more than double the equity of the original proposal

In 2022 they announced that they were partnering with Tesla for a new line of wireless chargers, simply called the Wireless Charging Platform. They are doing very well!

This was my immediate first thought too. Apple tried and failed to do this... it seems unlikely that these two guys managed to do it? Sounds like they might be overpromising exactly what it's capable of.

This product is change the game. A technology even the mighty cancel when all prototype fail miserably. You guy can do more with this product on the tech space, automobile industry and many more
