The Neuro company is now (2023) worth millions. The two dudes are doing very well wow
Wow...
That much bigger than Sharks 😅
@@hindamikartika1825 Mark alone is worth over 5 billion.
Not true I just researched it
@@frankie4827they’re in the 8 figure range. Not sure where the 500 million came from
There is one source that says they are worth $500 million, which I think it's a typo. Their annual sales is at 6 million, valuation around $15 million.
These two guys were so impressive. I'd like to invest but I have no money.
😄
Invest at the valuation they were asking? Maybe that’s why you’re not a VC 😂
Invest in deeeez
so your out for that reason
Get a job
I don't know why people are saying Kevin's deal "wasn't bad". Their products sell for $3.99. A 50cent royalty is 12.5%. So Kevin will get paid his $1m when they hit $8m in sales, which they will clear in a year if they hit their projections, and 2 years if they don't. So they're paying $250k interest on a $750k loan, or 33% if repaid in a year. Plus they lose 5% of their company. These guys can walk into any bank and easily get a 10% APR business loan.
Yes, a Shark's guidance is valuable, but the even more valuable lesson learned is to not take trash deals like this. And they saved themselves $250k and 5% of their company learning it.
smart guy thanks for the run down
its not a bad deal
Ya, I don't think Kevin's deal was that bad. I don't think they wanted him, that's why.
@@houchi69 tbh. I think they were looking for Lori

@Michael Terrell and for that reason, you are out

@Michael Terrell another crap comment from you.....surprise surprise...
@Michael Terrell no one asked for your crap comment either....

Kudos to the brothers that stood their ground and know when to walk away. Not many young men can handle that.
Not really manliness. They were in a position where they were needed by the sharks more than they needed the sharks.
They're not brothers
They aren’t brothers…
I guess you need more focus because those 2 ain't brothers.
@@Jebu911 he meant brothers like two men
8:38 They just laugh in Kevin's face at his offer, lol.
I also laughed at his offer. I hate that Kevin always want royalties. I get why but nah.
😂💀
I love it when KO gets PO'd after being ejected for his greedy offers.
@@real_lampcap The key words is you hate.
I'm gonna look this product up because I want to buy it now! I believe they helped themselves tremendously just by appearing on this show and were smart not taking the offers. Great job 👏 👍
I think Robert will regret not getting the 10% for 1 million. This is a great product with already 3.5m/sales and with an operating margin of 20%, that means they are getting at least 2-2.5m in earnings. Combine that with a basically 100% growth rate year over year with great customer retention, getting in at 10% for 1 million is a pretty good deal.
I can't believe they let cripples on the show
@@TheSuperBoyProject I can’t believe you are intelligent enough to type with your discriminatory mindset

They really made the right choice for themselfs. You dont always have to give up more than you want! These guys will make it!
I've seen their products in Walmart too
They made 3.5mil already, they have a big room for growth on their own and with shark tank exposure...the team win in this case. 😊
Nah, nothing beats a shark tank deal, most of the pitchers r crazy, u can search and see that most companies that declined r sucsessful but they did 7 million in net worths, instead of some shark deals of the same category that do 50 millions annually

Your Barbara joke is NOT funny !! (Is the above original with you?)
😂😂😂
Why doesn't anyone ever counter Kevin? Maybe suggest to him a 25 cent royalty till he gets let's say half of his money or half a million back, and the 5%?
I mean, there was wiggle room there for sure. His offer was better than Robert's.
Because a fair deal would have been like 5 cents a unit for half, and that's just too big a gap. Kevin's deal was just down right idiotic. He was asking effectively for them to give him 250k by the end of the year for him to also take 5% of their company. They wouldn't have the time to use his capital with a product that sells AT RETAIL for 4 dollars with a 10 million projected sale, and a 50 cent per unit royalty.
Royalties and loans suck because they just add overhead and crushes growth potential. Nobody should take those deals unless they are already doing well, or have no other choices to raise capital.
Any half decent business can walk into a bank and take literally any small business loan over one of those crap "10% interest on top of 10% equity" loans Kevin throws out.
@@unmannedtank Why not counter him with something completely different, then? Like the million dollars for 10% offer they gave Robert? He was the only shark left, and if they truly wanted one they just gave up too easy. My guess is they only wanted the exposure with their ridiculous evaluation.
@@MsJondde because honestly, Kevin's deal was practically insulting, and I wouldn't want to be in business with someone who only wants to skim from my topline. If he wanted to do a 10% for $1m deal, he could have swooped in and taken that offer after they countered Robert.
They looked like they were doing fine already before coming on Shark Tank. If you want to give them the benefit of the doubt and take them for their word, they came in for the Shark's expertise. They were willing to pay for it, like they would have Robert, but not get completely ripped off by Kevin.
no one wants Kevin
these guys will make it. i will definitely try their product when i see it in stores.
I take their NeuroGum mints every day and it's phenomenal. I don't know what they put in them but it gives me so much more mental clarity and focus than coffee. Plus it doesn't give me coffee breath and I don't end up going to the bathroom a million times. It's been a lifesaver for me and my business.
3:33 --- Is it just me, or does 33% repeat customer for a food / gum sound very low? That means 2/3rds of people dont like the gum enough, or do not care to use the product enough, to buy it again. Sounds poor.
@@josephsummers2427 How many times have you bought the same thing every weekend? I prefer to try new things.
@@tripline8076 Repeat customer doesnt mean every weekend or every day or something. In this case, its probably every few months. I have bought a vast majority of consumable foods every month, over and over. If its that delicious, they would want more. But only 33% want it again? That is stinky numbers.
You guys got a new customer! Love the product and more importantly love you guys. So positive and so hardworking, these guys are going far. The sharks missed out for sure. Keep doing your thing!!!!
Came on YT looking for reviews before buying. Saw this and now want to buy just to support them. Seem like awesome guys will have to see if their product is for me.

Umm.. is it just me or did they get a great commercial with out anyone suspecting golddigging?!
right?? Just being in shark tank whether you're the one who don't take the offer or no shark gave an offer, you still get promotion and therefore boosted sales regardless
This sounds like something I’d use! I’ve been trying to sway away from coffee & I love mints & gum so this sounds cool!
I'm actually amazed that Red Bull never brought out chewing gums
You dilute the Red Bull name by creating an inferior product. Why divide Red Bull fans? Shelf space in the beverage isle is way more valuable than the shelf space that would display Red-Bull mints or gum.
For anyone interested in this product, I have the mints and the gum! They give me a burst of energy without the crash and taste pretty good!

I met them at the Forbes 30 under 30 event in Detroit this year. Delicious mints, which they sponsored all the under 30s with.
I feel like these guys didn't need the 750k. The exposure and free advertising is what they're after.
So weird I’m seeing this because I just saw this gum for the first time ever last night in a convenience store. It caught my attention because of the packaging.
These guys are awesome, I'll definitely try this out!
These guys are the type of cousins my parents compare me to 😂. But even if they didn’t snag a deal, they’re amazing, accomplished people regardless. What inspiration!

The .50 royalty makes their profit margins abysmal. Definitely not a good offer

Impressive sales. Millions congratulations. Wish robert would have taken the counter.
Damn, you see the look on Kevin's face when they were going through the back story..@2:47 .. it look like it was personal for him. lol, but it didnt last long, WOW the deal he gave them was brutal..
I really liked those guys! So positive
Good luck to them. Love their energy
Great presentation!
These guys are both warriors❤
"We like to push each other" 😂😂
I just tried this gum yesterday and its legit, great product, they'll do great.
They obviously werent there for a deal and just wanted free marketing because kevins offer was actually pretty reasonable when you consider his past offers of that nature usually he wants to double his investment or takes about 10% but they had an offer that kept their valuation the same
So impressive these two
Kevin's deal was pretty fair, 5% like they asked for the 750k and the royalty until 1 mil dollar which is basically 1x his investment, they probably could have asked for the royalty to go down to 30cents or 20cents per unit and use the "we don't want the royalty to slow down our growth" excuse and they were chilling. Too bad everyone in the shark tank is scared of royalty deals cause they probably don't understand it (exception : perpetual royalty sucks). And to the guy in the comment that's comparing a shark's investment to a bank loan , you are clueless my guy 💀
Ima buy some right frickin NOW! These guys are awesome!
"and they all have potholes" That quick-wittedness though!
Well, to be fair he's probably heard that line hundreds of times. Plenty of time to prepare a retort ha. Maybe even unconsciously.
I just know kevin had those tear ready in his pocket the moment he saw the wheelchair
Can't believe how many people think Kevin's deal is good. Getting 750k up front but paying $1m in royalties over the next year if they hit their projections, and still holding 5% of the company. Essentially they would be paying him to take equity in their company. Also cashflow issues can literally crush a thriving growing business, so yes, a 50c royalty on a $3 product IS a big issue
How else is he going to get his money back? They aren't worth $15M, their $3.5M is TOTAL sales, how much of that is profit? Think from his end too.
@@tejask4889 their is so reason their sales wouldn’t go the way they are statistically going on too it’s a great product that anybody with a brain who is a senior citizen knows this is a catchy product that will be popular in almost daily active soon like coffe vapes carts hookah shrooms cbd hemp energy drinks liquor ect
people are stupid. They treat the investors like the "heroes" of the show and side with them.

RunGum has been doing this (caffeinated gum) for a long time.

"Sometimes we like to push each other" 😂

And that’s why he’s on the wheelchair?
I swear I remember seeing this in the store when I was like 8 or 9. I'm 24 now
Im not economically illiterate enough to understand business offers, but i wanted to ask why they were key in the valuation of the company for the offer?
Does that mean that Robert’s share of the company will equal to 5% of the valuation?
2:22 I think Ken wants to be more then friends 🥴
Feels like they were there just for the free advertising. They even said it themselves that the money would go to the advertising.
I think everyone who comes on Shark Tank boosts their sales by marketing themselves...aka 'exposure!' I'm searching for this product right now...

Wow I thought of this exact product a few months ago
shark tank should bring on a minimum wage employee, give them one million to play with, and put them on the panel and see what happens,
Aye
such an amazing story
This could blow up like the 5 hour energy, but it could also fail because there are a lot of energy products nowadays.
Its a saturated market, for sure
I'm checking out their product right now. 😁
I bought this gum at CVS. It does give me extra energy
Can't find their product online

Kevin: well then, all roads lead back to Mr. Wonderful
Mark: and they all have potholes
🤣
Should have reiterated on the 10M valuation, after saying they can't do it at 7M! Also, I don't think he should have brought up that it was extended family that was investing. Hiding who the other investors are on high valuation business kind of brings mystery to it!!!
After SOOOO many episodes of shark tank, I've learned these valuations need to be NOT SO damn steep. They valued it BEFORE they got to that point. Robert's deal of a $7m was reasonable considering their current sales. Too high of a valuation would persuade me NOT to invest and cause me to quickly critique and criticize the business, operation, everything.
Because we know they weren't really there to raise money, they were there to advertise on Shark Tank. Props to them but they honestly don't need the sharks.
For everyone saying they made the right decision are only thinking of just making enough. They said they wanted to be a lifestyle, Robert would've expedited that process, they weren't worth 7 million and doubtful they ever will with how saturated this market is getting
They made the right financial decision 100%. For 250k and 5% they can go elsewhere for the advice and connections.
Now they're worth 50m
The problem with this product is that most people prefer a beverage to get energy. Coffee lovers arent going to replace coffee with this, energy drink lovers arent going to replace energy drinks with this. Its really just for a small subset of non coffee, non energy drinkers out there that want a 3rd option. At best it will be a very niche product.
I think this could even appeal to coffee drinkers! I’ve been wanting to cut down my caffeine consumption, but I still love coffee, so if I could use this to help my transition to decaf coffee, that would be really helpful
Good people these guys
