  • Many Ukrainians who have sought refuge in other countries are physically safe, but struggle with feelings of despair and anxiety about the situation in their homeland, compounded with worry about loved ones still in the country.
WHO has developed a stress management tool called Self-Help Plus, which aims to help people learn techniques to calm their emotions and cope with anxiety. In Poland, Self-Help Plus is being provided by the Alight Foundation, an NGO partner of WHO Poland Country Office. They run courses for Ukrainian refugees who have found paid employment in Poland.
