the game forces VSync on by default, and it makes the game 3x harder. You need to turn it off if you want to have enough time to actually react to things
since all of those levels are autoscrollers, the only part where you can gain time is the level select. still, beating all those levels this consistent live is hard
also mind that the levels are randomly generated. If you get bad RNG and die to a nigh impossible pattern combo on the harder stages where you have close to no time to react,you will loose time aswell
funny he finds that level the hardest at 4:22 i think its the most fun of all the levels and its probably my favorite level in the whole game because the cursor move speed is double as fast as any of the other levels except the last level.
I’ve beat this game numerous times, but this video is still wildly impressive to me. Switching between modes is one of the hardest things to do when you’re good at it. I can’t even imagine playing all 3 back-to-back. It would take me like 10 minutes to transition back from hexagonest to hexagon. And if you get too good at hexagoner and hexagonest, then the square and pentagon parts of hexagon get oddly difficult. The slow movement combined with slow screen rotation makes it really tricky
I got this from a game bundle, but now I don't know how I'd fare just looking at this! It must be even harder being in front of such a huge audience...
Wish this guy mentioned Open Hexagon, it's 20-50x harder on some of the player made levels that were made and there's a lot more twists to the game just from the base levels you get.
My record on the hardest lvl on super hexagon was over 200 seconds, I beat the easiest with over 400 seconds but in most lvls of open hexagon I couldn't even reach 30 seconds 😂

You start slow, on the first level. You'll eventually get used to the eyestraining visuals.
