Yeah cuz from a fair perspective, Valorant was created on a time with better technology but CS has time to adapt since their technology isn't stationary.
I tried CS recently and honestly The gunplay blew me away and I had way more fun I just couldn't get used to the maps just from how many there were Although I felt the same starting Val with all the abilities so I think Im just gonna keep at it and play more CS
@@RandomUsername101s It's same thing in cs btw, it just isn't stated by devs. Funny that a lot of valo haters use this as some smart argument tho. Also, gunplay in cs2 is a lot worse than in Valo, in CSGO, I agree, gunplay and source movement were the only thing keeping me for 2 years before leaving cs to valo. But CS2 just demolished movement and gunplay (at least at current patch)
As a CS player who also plays valorant but not as much as I play csgo (cuz its addicting) and doesn't understand why both communities hate each other so much I agree with ur opinion
Great video overall! As a huge CS fan I think it’s undersold in this video the skins hold real world value. If someone purchases something, they should become full owners of it and, therefore, be able to sell it. I think it’s also similarly predatory to have rotating shop items, and items that may never come back, because it creates the FOMO gambling creates. We shouldn’t kid ourselves about the Fortnite style FOMO, especially because it is clearly a more kid friendly game (Fortnite, OW, and Val). That said, this video hit the nail on the head in all of its critiques against Valve/CS, especially crate/skins gambling. Though, an argument is to be made that, like you said with Valorant skins, the buyer knows what they’re getting into (or should). That said, Valve should do better to ensure appropriate aged people are the only ones participating in the gambling. Finally, it does disappoint me CS fans take things too far with their hate toward Valorant. I think it should be a meme - that is, clear and silly jokes, and both games should support each other. After all, CS fans can likely thank Valorant for pushing Valve to do more with CS. I don’t play Valorant much but will definitely support it and keep trying to heal the divide❤😂
I actually think having the skins be worth real money only makes the issue worse. It gives people more of an incentive to gamble and "invest" thousands of dollars for a simple paint job. I’m just not that big on investments, stocks, NFTs, etc. so maybe my priorities are elsewhere. And don’t get me started on gambling and casinos. I get upset over losing $5 to a simple claw machine at the fair, let alone thousands on card games and slot machines.
@@CR0WYT Definitely fair points. I'm just on the other side of this one, except with gambling. I hate gambling -- never liked going to the casino or opening cases cause it's just throwing away my hard earned money! On the other hand, I am very into investing (stocks, crypto, art) haha and so any way Valve/CS can further legitimize the skin "investments" should be made (and thus far they have with allowing cs float and legit websites to exist). But they also need to limit gambling, children involvement and protect consumers overall

I absolutely hate how Valorant does not have spray patterns in the game, idk why they want to force people to tap/burst and it just lowers the skill ceiling by a TON
@@Siuubeink then they should remove vandal and just use guardian instead, there is a spray in game for a reason, it’s a gameplay you choose. You either aim to tap head or control to spray. What’s the sense of fps in just tapping heads?
@@Siuubeink in both games first you aim for the head and then if you fail you start spraying. While in cs you have control over second stage of shooting( if you didn't hit headshot) in valorant you pray for random to kill the enemy
9:13 What a bad take. ''At least I know what I'm getting'' You know you can just hop on the marketplace and buy a skin where you know what you're getting. And it doesn't matter if you spend 10 cents on a skin or 1000 bucks, you can always just sell the skin once you're done with it... There is no ''pros and cons'' here, Counter Strikes approach is straight up better. Somebody might say ''why would I spend 200 bucks on a cs knife, if I could get it for 50 in Valorant''. Yea buddy, once you spend that 50 bucks on the knife, it has been burned, the money is gone. If I ever want to, I can just sell the cs knife again. You could spend thousands on skins in counter strike, if you ever quit, you can just sell them all. Yes you lose 5% on the transaction fee, but you are getting 95% of your money back!! (not to mention, some skins might go up in price. If I spend thousands on valorant skins, that money has been burned into ashes.
exactly, and valorant player's arguments always goes like this. 1. CS skins is gamble (not really u can avoid gambling and just buy off marketplace) 2. Its expensive (yes there are rare and expensive skins but there are also cheap skins lol) 3. Cheap CS skins are ugly (many might be, after all they are cheap because they are common or not enough demand for them, plus there are many great budget skins) 4. I don't buy skins for money, I buy it because I want to play with something nice (me too, i bought a st talon vanilla a while back and has been my play skin for a long time, recently I needed to sell my knife for cash so I can buy some stuff I needed for college) 5. You don't fully get your money back! (uhh depends on when and how u bought the skin, bought my talon knife for $419 and im selling it for $445 and i received $435 for it)
Some things to mention: It is easier to develop a e-sport scene nowadays than it was 20 or 10 years ago. E-Sport as a whole has grown a lot. CS and CS:GO grew alongside e-sport, Valorant was created in an era that already has a solid foundation for this type of competition. About the Valorant community being more open-minded than the CS community, this is easy to explain, many Valorant players came from other games, from cs:go itself, pubg, crossfire, point blank and several other fps, while cs:go there is usually an audience that has played the same game forever. Honestly, Valorant's franchise system is not very good in e-sport, it limits the number of teams and players because they honestly do not do shit for tier 2 competition, in CS, Valve shits on all tiers but frees companies to create their own annual circuits that are simply open to everyone with a team to participate like BLAST, DREAMHACK, ESL and IEM.
Spot on! I’ve been playing CS for more than 15 years on and off. Played some COD when I was a kid but it was COD 2 and modern warfare and I’ve only played it single player. CS has always been the only FPS I’ve played multiplayer and I never felt the need to play something else. In Valorant’s case, I’ve personally never tried it and never will, because the cartoony vibe of the game is not my cup of tea.
@@datsj2152 it's only half of it I don't like because it's cartoony. The other half is all the incels, and weebs who white knights every gamer girl on valorant. That what mostly killed my vibe.
20+ year CS veteran here. Started in CS Beta-->1.6 (almost went pro, but then...adulting)--->CS:Source--->2006-->stopped gaming for a loooong time--->Got back into gaming in 2019 and discovered CS:GO. Loved it but also shocked at how much hadn't changed. Especially the terribly racist and toxic community. Enter Valorant in 2020. Played the beta and fell in love. I too was worried about the "magic agent ability" stuff. I'm an old school CS player! I'm used to gritty, same util for everyone, etc. However, after playing a CS:GO for about a year and noticing ways it could be improved -- Valorant did ALL of that for me. I didn't hate CS:GO at all. But it still had an "ancient" feel about it. Like, having to open the console and google custom commands to change certain settings? Like, I still have to do this 20 years later?? Talk about a barrier to entry for new players. 😳 And the fact that pro players were still playing at resolutions I was using in 2004 and it's STRETCHED and looks like ass? But, hey, that's what you gotta do to get better FPS and to see player models best, and be pro. Not in Val, luckily. Like you said in the video, Riot looked at what Valve has done poorly with CS and "fixed" it for Valorant, and added their own little twist. And they adapt and change stuff QUICK. They love the community and I'm very impressed. The Valorant twist of adding agent abilities was REALLY hard for me to embrace at first. But I've come to love it because it makes the possibilities and gameplay much more dynamic VS the more rigid, predictable tactics of CS (where everyone has the same abilities). So, I play A LOT more Val than I do CS now. I just enjoy it more. But CS is my roots and will always have a place in my heart. However, I'm stoked to play some CS2. It looks like (again), there really isn't much of a leap in gameplay beyond bullets/HEs dissipating smokes. Nothing to really shake up the meta and have players adapt and re-innovate their style/gameplay. It just feels like a rigid, SAFE update. But I'm still excited to get back on the CS train and try it out. I love both Val and CS equally but for different reasons. I better end this novel now. 😆 I agree with everything you said in the video. Thanks for putting this together!
My only issue is that when I play any CS match I feel like I'm in Russia. But I like the free speech aspect of it and believe people should say whatever they like. If someone doesn't like it - there's a mute, problem solved.
Wow, spot on. You addressed all the relevant points and stayed neutral the whole time. I respect you for being honest and not taking a side. I've been a die hard csgo fan the whole time and you got everything right. This is the best and least biased video on this topic so far and I'm glad someone did it right. Thank you
Im pretty sure that ohnePixel will react to this and will disagree with many of your points. This video seem more neutral than most of other ones that talk about this topic (especially the one from hardcore CS players most of the time).
As a CS player, the main reason Valorant doesn't peek my curiosity (not hating it, just not exactly interested) is the agents system. It's not because of the "magic skills" themselves or anything, but because it just reminds me of the reason I could never get into LoL, which many of my non-fps friends played and tried getting me into, and that is the plain scale of the initial learning curve to understand the game if you did not start right at the beginning with a digestable handful of characters to understand. It's not too terrible as of yet, but there is already 20+ different agents, and you need to learn how each of them work against one another, and the number's growing. By some point you get 100+ different classes, many beginning to look similar, due to lack of new ideas I suppose, but it just makes the game super hard to get into at that point, or if you decide to take a break and have to learn the game again. I know there is skill and fun to be had in this process and gameplay, but it's not something that ever interested me. CS has just a few basic guns, same util; pick your thing and you can basically come back to the game anytime, and it's virtually the same as it was. That said, I do like it when there are maps which are added/removed from rotation, because having a new map which everyone has to learn is something which boosts the experience in my personal opinion. Other than that I think the comparison is very objective and I definitely don't intend to trash Valorant as it's a well designed game and found it's generous share of players. Definately gave me more reason to try it sometime!
it´s not that hard since the abilities aren´t that important and outlandish as in overwatch for example, it´s flavour like special granates etc. I´m sure in about 10 hours you understand all abilities in the game probably faster
Both fun games, can’t wait to play cs2. One thing Val has over cs though is you can’t get kicked from a ranked/comp match, by a 4 stack of trash you just carried to match point.
for someone who plays both, thats a really good video. im mostly on your side on many points. for example, Imho the gunplay and utility usage feels so much better in cs. and the fact that i can buy a skin i wanna try out and just resell it to get something else is just hella dope! In valo i would have to buy all the skins i wanna try out. ( which i technically did, riot got alota money from me) + the animations and stuff are too distracting. i definitely love the stickers approach in cs waaay more since it lets you personalize your guns so much more^^
This video is really the only real COMPARISON video I've seen on this subject. Only really giving your own opinions towards the end with some splashed of it throughout the video. Other than that just comparing and showing both sides of the coin. Amazing video keep up the great work.
Valorant players don’t shit on CS??? Someone hasn’t watched the last few big events live chat on UA-cam. It’s plagued with Valorant players shit talking CS and trolling saying CS copied valorant
Csgos most toxic ranks imo are DMG -Supreme, such large egos and get super mad instantly. Most players give up by the third round, and flame their temamates. My man, we lost pistol round unless the enemy team royally fucks up we rnt supposed to win the next 2, CHILL OUT.
as a former csgo/cs2 player with over 2000 hrs in the game, valorant fits my taste so much better i cant believe i chose to stay ignorant about valorant for so long
I built my first pc during COVID and I tried both games, but valorant was so much better than csgo for me because valorant is so much easier to pick up and my friends who doesn't even play FPS games can hop on and we can have fun, and it runs so much better than csgo and the best thing for me is that after playing for 3 years I have never played against a cheater.
exactly and cs players don't want casual players to have fun with them we take this game as a matter of life and death and won't like to teach a player who just want to have fun
I’m with you on a lot of aspects. I play both however I personally can’t stand playing the same 2 maps every single game on cs2 now just like csgo. It’s boring to me because it becomes so repetitive. However, map design, I do lean more towards cs2 for now because they have had that time. But valorant is always changing the maps after they take them out of rotation or even while in rotation. So that’s nice. I like cs2 in certain ways but I can’t get over having to play at 64 tick in the “NEW” cs2 after how long it’s been technically out since it’s more of an update, not a new game. You’d think they would prioritize player experience. But here we are. I also can’t stand the team killing on cs2 because people will troll on purpose after they get flustered from something that happened, and start just damaging you so you die faster, then sometimes out right kill you just because. It becomes ass and toxic. My experience over the years is also that I see way more communication on valorant with talking/pings/quick chat, than I ever have on cs2. I like cs2 but I think riot is doing more for their community than valve has done in 20 years. And it shows.
Riot is a predatory and abusive company that has weaponized capitalistic gain of their pro scene and their skins. I’m sorry but both are shit, and if you praise Riot of all companies I think you need to look deep within for a second there buddy.
So i have been a CS player but not as fanatic as most people, i have tried Valorant and i like it, but i gotta admit watching ohne quit the video 4 minutes in because it's not biased enough towards csgo really makes you think why people defend cs and Valve so much when Valve themselves don't care most of the time about their fans. It feels like they only care when they want more money or once in a blue moon. Either way nice video gotta say i agree that people should try the other game for 1-2 hours before completly blocking it out their mind and only shit-talk it, people enjoy different things and that is fine and at the end of the day competition brings innovation, if cs was the sole game on top Valve could litterly not do anything all year around (like tf2) and have people praise it while bringing in millions of dollars, having Valorant take some of the market share will hopefully bring more things to both games. Solid video once again.
1000 hour immortal valorant and 20 hour cs2 player here. Shooting and movement is so much easier in CS, it feels nice and weighted maybe it’s a function of being in lower lobbies but my god is it so much easier to pop heads vs valorant and that am literally shows with all the high hs % shown at end of games for both teams. That being said is much rather play valorant just because it’s more “fun” and I love the wrinkle of agents and abilities and actually good looking skins. Also the color palette of cs is just so ugly man. It’s also a plus I get to play with friends who are girls. Not trying to grind hundreds of hours with just sweaty dudes and I’ll stand by that
From personal experience (enjoy playing both), I see CS as having less, but each complement being more difficult, while Val has much more, but lower difficulty. Obviously very generalised, but gives an idea. CS’ core mechanics are difficult to not just learn, but master in all sorts of situation. While Val’s initial difficulty besides core gameplay are the agents and their abilities. Knowing when and where to use them is a lot to initially learn, especially as it’s going to be different for every map. However, Val does make the core mechanics ‘easier’. Spray (horizontal) is random and movement is slower. In addition, unlike CS where everyone has access to very comparable equipments, in Val, if you’re just a Sage against 2 duelists, unless you’re just way better or due to luck, you will lose. Val emphasis on ‘team’ play more, but that also means if any one of your players are lacking, you’re most likely done for. This is because each role in the team is vital. So say you don’t have a good controller, denying entry is to site is going to be much harder.
I gotta say you got it for me. I kinda just play val and didn't mind the cs beef till I watched a short of some cs player shitting on val. Soo I wanted to see what's actually ppls take on "Valorant vs Csgo" xd
Will probably never play Valorant as i have huge disdain for games with agents/heroes and other kinds of bloated and ever changing meta. Besides Valorant is pretty cringe. But im eternally thankful to riot for it's mere existence because without it, CS2 would never have been made.
@@KingKong-mp6gji prefer someone that call me mommy one game in 100 than being call a gay nig*** 1 game out of 2, and it's coming from a 10y+ cs players. And valorant is refreshing, both game are equaly good i play 50/50 both game
your right in alot of ways but I think Valve Cares But scared to make changes because of the community. So they watch what the community does and tires to fallow it slowly. plus vlave cares more about innovation over anything else EX sub tick.
valorant said they want each map with a gimmick. some has portals, some has 2 T spawns, some have rotating doors and so on. I dont want to deal with some of the unique map related bs and would rather not play on those maps, yet cant opt out.
That's how everyone feels whenever a new map is released, everyone hates it, but when they are forced to play it and are forced to learn to play it, they get used to it. I remember, I had that issue when Lotus first came out, I hated it, and it's grown quite a lot on me
I play csgo and I have no idea why anyone would spend 1,000 dollars for a knife on either game when you can save it for real things. If I opened a case and got a fade karambit or whatever I would probably just sell it for some real money.
I played valorant at 2 Times on my uncles laptop, my uncle only plays on dust 2 because he claims *I only play on simple maps* but in reality he doesn’t wanna improve, i suck at tactical shooters
As someone who only plays when I've free time and tried both game I prefer Valorant more than CSGO, when I played CS I feel like I always play with people that been playing the game for 10+ years and it's not really fun for me but when I tried Valorant I've got drawn in the game, while there are obvious smurfs or experienced players in Valorant there are also a lot of new players like me, I can see their levels too so I know who's a veteran and most of the time the matches are much more balanced compared to my experience in CSGO, I play in Asia so it might be a region thing. In Valorant the community is not that harsh than CS from my experience, when I was playing the game I feel like CSGO is not for casual players who just want to play the game and treat it as a game, yes I do somehow understand the toxicity in my CS matches because of course most people would not want someone who's not good at the game on their team but I don't have a lot of free time, I have my priorities in real life too and can't just sit all day and play or practice for 10 years just to be able to compete and I'm not doing that because I'm not going pro or go streaming, there are other things that I need to do or want to do aside from playing all day, I do think that both games are good even if my experience in CSGO is not that good I can say that the game is very good, while I didn't played Counter Strike/ CS that much, the game is still like a family to me because it is very famous especially in internet cafes, I can't imagine an internet cafe without someone playing it, so I hope that CS would continue to be around even in the future, but I'm also glad that there is Valorant because as a casual player it's really good to have a lot of options to play and pass the time.
I mean Asia is also just ass at CSGO so that might be your problem bro. CSGO is far more rewarding because you put in the time to get good at it. While valorant is easier to get into, you are very quickly met with a low skill ceiling and at that point it all comes down to who has been aim training for longer and who has a better PC. I don’t understand this argument of “it’s easier to get into” yeah and guitar hero is easier than picking up an actual guitar, but since when is the easier route the better one? Why are so many valorant players scared of putting in the work to get better. You do you man but I mean it when I say that you will find CS far more rewarding and exciting in the long run, I enjoyed valorant a lot when it was in beta, but I very quickly lost any want to play it because I didn’t feel this overwhelming urge to get better, the skill ceiling is visible from the get go.
@@cookeez7010 I agree with all of what you said and If you ask me which game is better, I'd say CSGO/CS 2, but on two conditions, only if it's free from cheaters (if you don't have prime) and a toxic community. But pointing out from my experience CS can be harsh to new players, and I know it's not their fault but the matchmaking's, it's unfair from both veterans and new players to get matched with each other and no one likes it, new players would not want to play with veterans and veterans would also not want to play with new players. That's why I prefer Valorant because of much better community and balanced matchmaking. I'm not saying that my answer is will not change, but right now in my opinion Valorant is a bit better compared to CS 2 if you're new to first person shooters or if you just want to play and enjoy the game as a game.
@@cookeez7010 As a Valorant player that plays the game casually too it's not that I'm afraid to put it the work, same from op, I only have 30mins to 1hour to play in a day and I want to use that time to relax and have fun after work I don't have time to practice my aim or even do some aim trainers, no offense to counter strike community but their toxicity and matchmaking too are the reasons why I shy away from the game, In Valorant having a balanced matchmaking can make my day, even if I lose I still find it fun because of having a closer and fair game against people on the same skill level as me but when I tried the new CS 2 the people there just auto headshot me and my team is very toxic too, the worst is they shot and killed me, even if I want to get good lets say it will take months or even years because I can't dedicate more time like other people into the game and if my experience will be the same thing everyday for month I'd rather just not for now, I don't want to play the best game according to the public, I want to play the game that I think is the best. I hope that you don't take this personal as I'm only talking about the general community in CS and I know you're not a toxic person, for you that is already good at the game maybe Valorant is not fun maybe because it's not challenging enough compared to CS, everyone has their own reasons why they choose what to play, CS 2, it's looking very good, I hope next time my experience will not be the same as when I've tried it.
Honestly, Valorant will always be a NO from me just because of Vanguard. I played it quite a bit during closed beta, and then a few months after launch, and it was pretty fun. Gave me a taste of Siege in the CSGO format, but it always felt wrong and off. I really enjoy the abilities for the most part, but when the shooting and movement feel off, I can't touch it.
When in comes to matchmaking, I bet if valorant or any other game for that matter allowed third party matchmaking the flaws of the official matchmaking will be so apparent
I like your video coming from a CS only background. You presented and compared the aspects pretty well. However, when it comes to skins and trading, I think there's a dark spot on the CS community I have not seen in any comparison video before: Scamming! It is such an issue, there's content creators out there that make regular videos about the most recent scams and so on, it is such a tragedy IMO. (tho I've never lost anything myself)
replay system to check if good players are legit or just cheating is great in CSGO, Valorant on the other hand literally have no plans on implementing it
Finally a good comparison of skins for both games, just like there are sneaker collectors that don't buy sneakers for the looks and only for the resell value, there are those who buy clothes for their looks and want to wear it until it can't be anymore.
Debate aside: Those are some sick clips you have in here 🔥🔥 I prefer Valorant over CS, as someone who grew up playing cs1.6. It just feels so much better. I'm not a big fan of the graphics or the agents and the abilities, but the game just feels smoother and better.
I just uninstalled Valorant today... I just caaaan't deal with the fact that Valorant is less about gunplay and more about abilities. And the fact that valorants gunplay is unbelievably bland compared to CS is what messes me up the most. I always think there is more effort put into getting a kill than it actually is. There should be more to the gunplay than getting headshots for every kill. And yet: - Crouching is pointless - Counter strafing is pointless - Holding angles is pointless - The first 4 bullets out of vandal/Phantom have RNG 1st bullet accuracy. - No spray pattern. It's pure RNG after those first 4 shots - Smurfing is a hugely normalized in Valorant The skill ceiling is so low that you actually can't say Valorant is all based on precision gunplay cus... it isn't. Just wide swing a corner, stop with zero momentum and be rewarded with a kill via headshot. Zero effort on your part unless you used an ability to compensate for a lack of game sense. The game holds the players hand in a variety of ways where CS that just isn't the case. In the end though, because Valorant is ability based, it WILL eventually spiral like Siege is and hopefully die within the next 3 years.
I lost you with that list. Crouching, counter strafing, and holding angles aren't pointless at all. Plus, CS has worse amounts of 1st shot accuracy compared to Valorant. It's part of where the term "CSGO'd" came from. And let's not act like base MM in CS isn't just smurf and hack land.
This is comming from a mainly cs player, but there are some points I want to address here. Obviously CS had many years to develop and figure things out and Valorant has a lot of complexity in game balance due to the agents and obviously Valve should have supported the game way more than they did, thats not in question. But I feel like its not really fair to put every point CS does potentially better than valorant down because the game had lots of time. The reason is that Valorant may not have had the same amount of time but Valorant was able to take a LOT of CS established features and use those. So they already had a good base to work on, while CS especially in the competetive aspect had to build up a lot of those things first. I played both games a lot and I can for sure say that both are good in their own way. I personally highly prefer CS though mainly because the game has a lot more depth to it. Valorant has its abilities that give the game a lot of mechanics, but things like counterstrafing, air strafing, B Hops, spray control, etc are things CS has that give the game incredible depth and replayability. This obviously isnt for everyone but its something I highly prefer. My biggest point for CS though is the "potential" of each player. Whenever I play Valorant I have the feeling that the agent I picked lacks something, meaning that for certain situations I needed a flashbang, a smoke, a molly or whatever. When I pick Jett, I get smokes but no flashbangs, I think you get the idea. This means that in a certain situation I am at a disadvantage, to the point of having to win it by chance or not beeing able to win it regardless of what I do. In CS every player has the exact same potential, meaning that I can do the exact same play as even a pro player if I have the required skill to pull it off. I have the same equipment as anyone else on my team. Again, this is not something everyone will prefer, but its something that I highly value and that actually keeps me from really enjoying Valorant.
Afaik the "lacking something" in every agent is a very intentional choice by Riot to encourage playing more as a team rather than as an individual. So instead of you having every utility you need you might have the smokes but have to ask a teammate to flash for you, or the other way around. Or alternatively you'd have to get creative with all the other types of utility you might have. Either way that's the justification, although it's completely understandable if it just doesn't do the trick for everyone.
You see, the point falls flat, when you realize that Valorant was able to take what was already established by CSGO and improve on it, while Valve sat around doing nothing to improve the game whatsoever. Without competition, Valve got lazy and they never gave much thought into improving the game, CS2 felt like a genuine change and a push to make the game better, but so far the experience has been subpar and not what I expected, laggy ass servers, hitreg issues, among other things. On, the other hand, I haven't really had those issues with Valorant and even if I did, it was mainly due to my own network and not the servers. And Valorant is a team based game, through and through and Riot has been trying to make that happen since the game first released, balancing agents so that certain agents don't become overpowered and just do everything on their own. It's a different style of gameplay that you either get used to or you don't, which does put off a lot of players and I can understand why, it's frustrating that you have to rely on the limited amounts of utility that is provided for a certain agent, rather than just having a utility that you can purchase and use for all agents.
@@chrzx7499 Honestly, it also adds a level of complexity and makes players really think about the situation that they are in, if you are playing smokes only and are in a clutch situation, you have to think hard and quick to win the round, which CSGO lacks, you have smokes, flashbangs and grenades, which you can all use to try and clutch a situation, which kind of feels a bit shallow, at least to me, but at the same time, I don't really mind the style of gameplay that CS has either, it's something that's been around for a long time and it's just become a norm.
@@gpfhantom1890 I see where you are coming from, but I agree with the op. when it comes to an agent-based system, it really is "you win it by getting extremely lucky or you don't win it at all" When it comes to clutches, I have seen many 1v1's where you can clearly see a big disadvantage due to their agent choice. It adds a level of randomness instead of complexity. Csgo very much requires quick and calculated plays to win the round as well, if not even more than valorant. Valorant has many agents that allow them to reposition easily, meaning if you were to wide swing into 3 people, you can easily get out of situation, such as jett dash, reyna's dismiss, yoru's tp, chamber's rendezvous, omen's tp. Not to mention the flashes and blinds require way less calculations and are on easy mode. Omen's paranoia, Reyna's Leer, Phoenix's flash, Breach's flash, Yoru's flash, and etc. All of these abilities make the gameplay much easier and adds a level of randomness.
i think people who switch find the game they switch to better, more fresh content. not saying valorant is better i just think after a few months you should revisit valorant
Skins aren’t like clothes they’re more like watches. Some look good but are cheap and there’s no point to re sell. Some are really expensive and can accrue value. Now In valorant you can’t re sell your nice looking watch, they all look the same, and most skins aren’t that interesting. In Csgo all the watches are different, they’re rare, they gain value, and are better looking. Also you don’t have to gamble you can just buy the skins and it’s way cheaper.
watches are stupid af and this is coming from someone who doesn’t mind the cs skin market. the point being made is in the vid is you get a skin because you like how it looks, not cause it’s rare. honestly the argument of winning something rare through gambling (and i hate gambling) is still cooler than “look at this crazy pattern float knife I bought for 6k cause it’s rare isn’t that so cool 🤓”
I played valorant my hole unti cs 2,bro the chat restrictions in valorant suck so much, i enjoy cs better bc i get to play the game and don't get restricted after i insult a kid bc doesn't uses flashes
I just couldn't imagine buying a skin in a game and it being worthless lmao. My CS inventory is worth 3k and I can literally sell it and just have 3k real dollars.
The one thing i like about csgo is that every player is the same, you dont have certain powers depending on what character you choose, the only thing that matters is how familiar you are with the game. Valorant is a different take on counter strike mechanichs which i really liked, but it hasn't stuck to me as much as cs did. But i have enjoyed both games. But in the end who cares, just play what you want
Yeah, there are pros and cons to the style of gameplay that Valorant has, I don't mind it, maybe because I played Apex before playing Valorant which kind of also leans into that category, but not entirely. But, it can make playing tough when playing with difficult players who don't want to fulfill their roles.
as someone who was always hating on cs and only recently tried it out-cs is much better the only worse thing is the graphics, everything else is perfect (except the fact that some maps are unplayable but luckily you dont have to play them) , cheaters are in fact a proble but since i got prime i haven't gotten any and prime is an awsome investition
"I don't think anyone should be paying upwards of 100 dollars for a bundle, that's way too expensive" Me: nah their bundles are so expensive, who would buy them -me while playing cs with my blue gem butterfly.
I know this video is a month old, but I'd like to point out that subtick 64 tick is more accurate than 128 tick. I prefer CS because it's a more crisp and refined game. Don't like the rng in valorant spraying, don't like the weird abilities (fine with flash/molly/smoke ones), and HATE the tagging system. If you get touched for 1hp in valorant your character suddenly can't move an inch. No possibility of getting away.
You can bhop and air strafe in valorant but you lose speed when bhoping and yo air strafe you have to add a w input to you d or a but you gain no speed but you could do a 180 way faster. Just add in this to tell people the correct info.
Val u cant just sit and have fun u have to go i like its a ranked match no matter what mod u are playing csgo u get on half asleep and have the funnest time ever and no one wdating on without getting bullied on csgo so thats a huge plus
skins. Well, more bassy skin sounds more powerful. Some skins have smaller profile, some skins have better visibility tracers and so on. Some skins just feel heavier. based purely on data it doesnt matter as nothing changes but it does. there was a game with 2 identical guns, except different skins and one of them was more bassy. Community complained that the bassier version was too OP and stats proved that the bassier version had higher kd ratio than the other gun.
It's placebo. People perform better with a skin that fits their tastes better. People say Prime gives you aimbot, but that's mainly because of all the hype that surrounds it. I own Prime and Champions and I much prefer Champions over it and I still perform well regardless of skin.
Honestly I agree with most of this, and I feel like ohnepixel shouldn't have much of a say cuz he doesn't even play valorant, he says it's shit but in reality he never touched it. It really makes no sense to me. Like brother there 2 different games from 2 different companies, you can say the same about Dota 2 and LoL but when I played Dota that was so different that it was even confusing
Ohne loves CS because of skins, that’s why he does it. Why would he like valorant, they have awful skins, no market or skin value, no personality in the skins or uniqueness like float value, wear, stickers, stat track, pattern based, name tags, etc. There is quite literally no reason for him to get into it since skins aren’t really all that important to valorant other than for robbing their player base.
true but isn't that like a shit reason to like the game, like you can say the gameplay is different or movement or gunplay but nope its a different colored gun that makes him like it more. @@cookeez7010

i strongly disagree with your skin analogy. we dont look at skins as clothes, we look at them as useable stocks. buy cheap skins that you like using, and invest in some (if you want) to trade for real world profit in the long run. you dont have to touch cases at all to enjoy the CS skin market. to clarify, "cheap" as in less than $20.
bro i moved to csgo and it is like a comparison of moving from Afghanistan Taliban controlled area to the mountains of japan or Sweden or whatever the fuck i swear if you are a unhappy val player play cs
for me personally I dont see the point of battle pass skins. the things I like about skins are sounds and relaods. also the reskins are terrible in battle pass
Valorant will never be as good as CS because its inherently more unbalanced. In CS everyone has the same access to all the tools within each half of the match, its an even playing field pretty much constantly and winners will have better gamesense, team executions, and motor skills. In Valorant, abiltiies are locked behind specific characters which adds a significant amount of variation per match.

@@CR0WYT Plus, you don't actually own any of the skins. Valve could just take them away, ban your account, etc..

You nailed it, said everything that I was saying to some of the other people in the comments.
Thank you
Honestly I just like the real feel that CS gives. No magic no abilities, just some dudes with guns.
Im pretty sure that ohnePixel will react to this and will disagree with many of your points. This video seem more neutral than most of other ones that talk about this topic (especially the one from hardcore CS players most of the time).
That's the most mature comparison i've ever seen, good job.
Enjoys both games gang wya
9:47 relatable. Been wearing the same Jordan’s since 2019; still wear em today.
Only a val player would use super models and toddlers in the same comparison, saying the toddlers are still developing into supermodels is creepy asf.
for someone who plays both, thats a really good video. im mostly on your side on many points.
for example, Imho the gunplay and utility usage feels so much better in cs.
and the fact that i can buy a skin i wanna try out and just resell it to get something else is just hella dope! In valo i would have to buy all the skins i wanna try out. ( which i technically did, riot got alota money from me)
+ the animations and stuff are too distracting. i definitely love the stickers approach in cs waaay more since it lets you personalize your guns so much more^^

Not trying to grind hundreds of hours with just sweaty dudes and I’ll stand by that
no cap, I don't want to play a specific character just to have fun on a certain map
"comparing supermodels with toddlers"
That just feels wrong on so many levels
So say you don’t have a good controller, denying entry is to site is going to be much harder.
the foreshadowing is crazy
tbh both is a great game

your right in alot of ways but I think Valve Cares But scared to make changes because of the community. So they watch what the community does and tires to fallow it slowly. plus vlave cares more about innovation over anything else EX sub tick.
tried them both, would rather play team fortress 2
King shit 👑
valorant said they want each map with a gimmick. some has portals, some has 2 T spawns, some have rotating doors and so on.
In Valorant the community is not that harsh than CS from my experience, when I was playing the game I feel like CSGO is not for casual players who just want to play the game and treat it as a game, yes I do somehow understand the toxicity in my CS matches because of course most people would not want someone who's not good at the game on their team but I don't have a lot of free time, I have my priorities in real life too and can't just sit all day and play or practice for 10 years just to be able to compete and I'm not doing that because I'm not going pro or go streaming, there are other things that I need to do or want to do aside from playing all day, I do think that both games are good even if my experience in CSGO is not that good I can say that the game is very good, while I didn't played Counter Strike/ CS that much, the game is still like a family to me because it is very famous especially in internet cafes, I can't imagine an internet cafe without someone playing it, so I hope that CS would continue to be around even in the future, but I'm also glad that there is Valorant because as a casual player it's really good to have a lot of options to play and pass the time.
play 30-60 min per day till 1 years and you're decent as a mge and gamesense comes from repition
yeah no place for noobs in csgo and its good to not have casual players play the game we prefer it that way
I mean Asia is also just ass at CSGO so that might be your problem bro.
(tho I've never lost anything myself)
insightful and well balanced with touches of rationality, especially liked the clothes metaphor, great stuff
replay system to check if good players are legit or just cheating is great in CSGO, Valorant on the other hand literally have no plans on implementing it
I think youre wrong. Replay is in chinese version of Val
@@miso5119well that doesn't really help if it's only in China, does it?

Finally a good comparison of skins for both games, just like there are sneaker collectors that don't buy sneakers for the looks and only for the resell value, there are those who buy clothes for their looks and want to wear it until it can't be anymore.
Debate aside: Those are some sick clips you have in here 🔥🔥
I prefer Valorant over CS, as someone who grew up playing cs1.6.
It just feels so much better. I'm not a big fan of the graphics or the agents and the abilities, but the game just feels smoother and better.
I used to love csgo but now l like valorant more cuz i feel like csgo isnt good enough to keep me like valorant.
And yet:
- Crouching is pointless
- Counter strafing is pointless
- Holding angles is pointless
- The first 4 bullets out of vandal/Phantom have RNG 1st bullet accuracy.
- No spray pattern. It's pure RNG after those first 4 shots
- Smurfing is a hugely normalized in Valorant
The skill ceiling is so low that you actually can't say Valorant is all based on precision gunplay cus...
All of these abilities make the gameplay much easier and adds a level of randomness.
your aim is so smooth
I came from Valo and hit diamond and played it from the start. Now after trying CS2 my choice is clear. CS2 is better.
facts
i think people who switch find the game they switch to better, more fresh content. not saying valorant is better i just think after a few months you should revisit valorant
Also you don’t have to gamble you can just buy the skins and it’s way cheaper.
watches are stupid af and this is coming from someone who doesn’t mind the cs skin market. the point being made is in the vid is you get a skin because you like how it looks, not cause it’s rare. honestly the argument of winning something rare through gambling (and i hate gambling) is still cooler than “look at this crazy pattern float knife I bought for 6k cause it’s rare isn’t that so cool 🤓”
like the cheapest knife in csgo is 90$ 💀 blud csgo skins are expensive as shit

I play both and i prefer the real fps rather than abilities over skills i still play valo when i wanna chill tho
as someone who was always hating on cs and only recently tried it out-cs is much better the only worse thing is the graphics, everything else is perfect (except the fact that some maps are unplayable but luckily you dont have to play them) , cheaters are in fact a proble but since i got prime i haven't gotten any and prime is an awsome investition
waiting for Ohne Pixel to react to this
"I don't think anyone should be paying upwards of 100 dollars for a bundle, that's way too expensive"
Me: nah their bundles are so expensive, who would buy them -me while playing cs with my blue gem butterfly.
7:22 i South america, everyone in valorant is a pro or trash (even in causal) and in cs it mixed but toxic and chill.
You can bhop and air strafe in valorant but you lose speed when bhoping and yo air strafe you have to add a w input to you d or a but you gain no speed but you could do a 180 way faster. Just add in this to tell people the correct info.
I agree with the cs skins thing but if I quit cs I can just sell my skins and get some profit but if i quit valorant my money is gone
