I don’t get why they didn’t just call these the Air Pods Pro 3 (3rd Generation) or maybe even “Air Pods Pro 2S” or something like that since they did technically change more than *just* the charging port.
True I have a left 2nd gen 2022 model and a right 2nd gen 2023 model and they can’t sync together. The right one syncs to my left one from my main pair (the 2023 USB C model) but the spare left one won’t pair to my main right one. The model numbers for the left and right AirPods are different from 2022 and 2023
The firmware updates have boosted audio significantly on both. I have the pro 2 lightning and these things sound better now than when I first got them. The sound is extremely crisp, mids and lows are on point bass has doubled. whatever Apple did with the updates they brought the A game.
I thought it was just me! I have the lighting pro second generation too and listening to it recently I was thinking they sound better than before. the bass is so deep and punchy for an in ear bud. extremely crisp audio.
I had such horrible crackling in my left AirPod Pro (Gen 1) that I went ahead and got the 2023 Pro 2s and they are amazing in comparison. Would definitely recommend.
Apple has determined that a small percentage of AirPods Pro may experience sound issues. Affected units were manufactured before October 2020. An affected AirPods Pro may exhibit one or more of the following behaviors: Crackling or static sounds that increase in loud environments, with exercise or while talking on the phone Active Noise Cancellation not working as expected, such as a loss of bass sound, or an increase in background sounds, such as street or airplane noise An Apple Authorized Service Provider will service the affected AirPods Pro (left, right or both), free of charge.
The AirPods Pro 2 now have four ear tip sizes, including a size larger than they've had before. Finally, I can get the full effect of these AirPods with the larger size ear tips. And - pass Apple's fit test for the first time ever. It's well worth the upgrade just on that point alone.
I just picked up a pair of the AirPods Pro 2 because my Beat Fit Pro's died right after the AppleCare Plus expired. I tried the first generation AirPods Pro, and they fell out of my ears, so I returned them. The AirPods Pro 2's actually fit my ears! I'm very pleased.
Best Buy had the new AirPods on sale for $50 off at release, and I got $80 for my old pair. That's the only reason I upgraded. No complaints really. The only Lightning devices I have left are my keyboard and mouse... sigh.

Apple has been trying. Wireless lossless audio requires an enormous amount of signal bandwidth, more than what Bluetooth is able to transmit. The Vision Pro doesn’t use Bluetooth for lossless, but rather a “WiFi type” connection that’s 5GHz. They could use this in the iPhone. The big problem is though, a 5GHz signal doesn’t have near enough range compared to Bluetooth, and that narrow 5G signal is easily corrupted by the slightest interference. If you were to walk just a couple feet away from your phone, the audio quality would likely be worse than Bluetooth. It’s just not practical in a phone, yet.
i had a problem with transparency and noise cancellation, on right side feels so bad, for the transparency mode feels unnatural not like the left one. the right mic doesn’t open completely (muffled) so transparency mode is not natural as the left one, sometimes when on transparency mode, the mic suddenly changes its sound quality like it’s talking on the phone, and for the noise cancellation getting worse especially for the right, not like the left, even though it is in off mode on right side, very bad since this update, “bug fixes” but i got so much bugs😭
I have the 2022 version and being able to charge my AirPods with my MacBook usb-c ports and the more stout looking cable are great improvements for me. However, I have the Magic Mouse usb to lightning cord that is traded cord.
Hello , is there also the problem with your AirPods Pro that the sound disappears completely at very low setting (manually under volume level one)? I have both the first generation AirPods pro and the 2 generation AirPods Pro with usb c connector and both have the problem. I would be very happy about a short feedback! Also gladly from other affected viewers :)
I have a question about upcoming "hearing aid" feature for AirPods Pro 2: Will this new feature possibly work on both versions including lightning version, or will it only support type-c version of AirPods Pro 2? I'd appreciate if anyone who has an information could share it.
I know it’s been a while since you posted , but could you please do me a favor and try to speak anything while you wear the airpods with the Noise Canceling ON . With the 2022 version and NC On , I can barely hear my voice , with 2023 model I hear it louder but for me it’s a bit strange and makes me feel like either they improved that so everything is canceled near you and just the voice hears better or makes me feel mines are fake but I checked everything and the only suspicion is this , about the NC. 🙏🏻
No, Loss-less audio only works the Vision Pro device, is my understanding. I subscribe to Apple Music and they seem to be converting more and more songs to Loss-less. But I think wired or the Vision Pro while using the AirPod Pro 2 (USB-C) is the only way to access that benefit 😢
Well i bought one and after one month of usage i returned it cuz it wasn’t worth the price I mean i bought it and the price was ok for me and i had no complains with it but i expected something better and more premium for such a price And i haven’t been using a 40$ soundpeats earbuds for the past 3 years and the sound difference wasn’t worth the upgrade
Why spend more for usb c, unless everything else you own has usb c than I wouldn’t spend the extra, I have the lightning AirPod pros 2 and they are amazing. May as well save the extra for next years air pod pros
Just in case that you aren’t aware many people including me have engraved the airpods pro 2 but the engraving wont show on the iphone animations for us 🥲
Hello I need your help on this one. I'm an Android user and I was thinking of getting an Airpods Pro. Should I be getting this newer and updated Airpods Pro 2 or just stick with last year's version since I'll be using it on an Android device anyway.
I would go USB-C because your android is also USB-C. The lightning air pods pro would be your only lightning cable device and you would have to buy maybe more cables while you already own USB-C cables. Plus they are newer

I’d like you to do a double blind test to see if you can tell the difference in lossless vs lossy. Most people can’t and even when they can the difference is greater when you have true audiophile gear, not Apple earbuds and headphones. You’re shilling hard for Apple here.
When it comes to Apple AirPods the first time I tried them they would just fall out of my ears. I still use the standard Apple EarPods with inside the ear, ear hooks. Could use these with AirPods except you can not put them into the case with the ear hooks on. Too much of a pain to put the inside the ear, ear hooks on, and then take them off every time go to use the AirPods. Wish Apple made in ear ear hook option that would allow me to put them inside the case, and charge them without taking them off. That or a tip that would go further into my ear canal so they would stay in. I live in the Apple Garden so I would love to be able to use the AirPods Pro. Audio quality depends on the file format - if not lossless, for example, FLAC or ALAC, it will not sound better.
Right and also wrong. Having good lossless music even out of a shitty wired speaker will be worse than those mp3s
With the new iOS update the ANC doesn’t work as well.

300usd? does it hurt the pods if u always use wireless charging? 2. good ideal to stick on an airtag on the pods case? or the tag is too bulky
the wireless charging will not damage the airpods, and there is no reason to stick an airtag to it because you can track the case(which also beeps)
