I recently bought mine as well. Chose the lightning over usb-c as it is more affordable and didn’t think there will be enough differences between the two 😊
You made the right choice. I had them both and there’s no significant difference. Yeah it has usb-c, lossless audio for a $3k Vision Pro and “improved” ANC. But honestly it wasn’t worth it. My AirPod pro 2 do the SAME EXACT thing as the usb-c models besides those three things and they sound the same. So don’t fall for the hype.
I noticed the spacial audio when I was moving around. I got confused wondering if i was listening through the ipad or through the airpods. Voice was all around and I kept looking for where the sound was coming from. Took a little getting used to but its amazing.

It was no problem with Air-buds pro 1. Every time I'm watching UA-cam or Netflix they disconnecting -unpairing when I chance the channel.
Finally pulled the plug and upgraded to Air Pods Pro 2 with USB ... and all is right with the world again.

I got the usb C version as it has better waterproofing and it was only 10 dollars more.

I think you can buy a new stem right? I never heard about other manufacturers providing the same option which is why I’m choosing the AirPods.
