    Entire performance: • Andy McKee - Rylynn li...
    Cari MusicOffili e UA-camrs, qualche giorno fa vi abbiamo presentato la strepitosa performance di Andy Mckee sul suo brano "Rylynn" (da "The thing that came from somewhere", 2008 CandyRat Records), registrata in esclusiva per noi di MusicOff durante il suo recente passaggio in Italia; come promesso, iniziamo oggi a scoprire il brano in ogni sua sfumatura chitarristica, attraverso una serie di How to Play in cui lo stesso Andy ci guiderà in ogni aspetto tecnico e melodico.
    Per le tablature del brano, potete fare direttamente riferimento al sito ufficiale di Andy McKee, in cui troverete tutti i links di riferimento.
    Ringraziamo Davide Leoni di Music Factory Academy, il regista milanese Jacopo Ardemagni, e tutto il team di Boneless Film, ed il nostro Stefano Noviello "Morgan Shooting" per i pregevoli scatti dedicati a Mr. McKee!
    Buona prima lezione!

    To anyone feeling risky to tune the string higher 3 frets.
    This might help !!!
    Im thinking of dropping my whole EBGDAE (standard) tuning down to two frets assuming it is in standard so that i dont have to tune the 5th fret to 3 frets higher damaging the instrument...Instead i would just have to tune the 5th string to half step above
    (upto A#) and rest string as usual....

    • @ossiehalvorson7702
      @ossiehalvorson7702 2 роки тому +1

      For practice purposes, just tune the unaltered strings down by a step to a step and a half (around D to C# standard) and do the alterations from there, because then the sketchy string will only be A to A#. No chance of breaking a string unless your strings are old or you have other issues.
      If you go to tune it normally later and can't stop snapping the string, try lighter gauge or take your guitar to a luthier and ask them to set it up to be stable under greater tension. If the string keeps snapping, it's not unlikely that you'll rip the bridge out before long. Maybe worse.

    Andy Please Do a lesson on Ebon Coast in standard tuning, i love the song but i dont want to tune my guitar all the way down to B and i don't have enough $$for a baritone

    • @JoshuaConnorMusic
      @JoshuaConnorMusic 8 років тому

      +Gavin Keller Just play it in standard? Both B standard and E standard are the exact same intervals, the only difference is low the pitches themselves are, if you were to play Ebon Coast the same way Andy does in E standard, it would sound just like Ebon Coast, only higher. It's the same reason why Andy sometimes plays his songs on different guitars (he's played tight trite night in D standard, and Art of Motion on a baritone, for example), because it's not played any differently, just the pitches are different.

    2:24 im confused, i started to learn the intro (im a complete noob and know nothing abouts notes and stuff sorry :( ) can some one write down how this part is played? his fingers are on 13 and 9, but in most taps there are only 4 strings playerd like 13 4 0 0, but here it looks like hes going back, he does somthing at the end this with his thump, on the E string, but it looks like hes not rly playing it , sry for my englisch here in german in case some german guy is here so i can ask better: ich bin bissl verwirrt, in den meisten tap ist zwar die fingerposition gleich, aber dort steht man solle 13 8 0 0 spielen, aber es sieht für mich so aus als ob der nochmal mit den fingern nach unten geht, und zum abschluss scheint er mit den daumen die E seite nochmal zu spielen, aber irgendwie nur so ganz leicht...leider verstehe ich sachen wie L H und das ganze zeug nicht, selbst wenn ich tied notes hier eingebe und ein lern video schaue ergibt sich mir da keinen richtigen sinn, allerdings glaube ich auch nicht das diese bezeichnungen dazu führen das plötzlich die doppelte menge an noten gespielt werden, deswegen die frage, spielt er hier 13 8 0 0. (8 4 0 0 vom capo aus gezählt) oder macht er hier was anderes? sorry bin anfänger und nachdem ich das intro jetzt im kopf habe beschäftigt mich diese stelle ein wenig
    2:16 and do someone have some tips for this part? 12 13 14 has a much smaller area for the fingers and the strings are kinda hard to play, i often get very bad results at this frets

    • @hitmanhatton
      @hitmanhatton 6 років тому

      Liana Smith depends on the capo one of mine works great but the other won't do the job capo will work however doing bends with it on can make it slide off. For the longest time I used a standard capo for this song and it worked fine. But I had a problem in the verse part there are some bends/nuances. That would make the capo fly off of my guitar. Best better is to try and acquire a proper capo. Or else it may be more difficult than normal to perfect this song
