Not only was that New Vegas at the end, that was Mr. House in the meeting.
as well as big mt rep is suppose to be sinclair the guy behind fallout dead money dlc. and big mt being the location of old world blues dlc.
Who was the guy up there in the meeting in shadows?
@@jackhilton4285probably someone from the Enclave
@@jackhilton4285 Either Enclave or worse (I suspect) a HIGH ranking member of Vault Tech. like the CEO, or President or even Founder of Vault Tech (I THINK it was implied that the guy who founded Vault Tech was still around)
@@jackhilton4285 Smart money is on the Enclave, I suspect.
The ghoul who said, "It's her" is one of the ghouls that Lucy had released from the chem salesmen.
He's the one who gave the cute lil "Thank You!" before running off.
Im convinced Thaddeus isnt a ghoul, but is actually a super mutant instead.
yeah, same
101097 is the date that the first Fallout game launched.
For us fallout junkies, this show is the best thing that can happen to the franchise. Game of thrones level intensity and production, with the whacky humor and randomness is a formula for many different spinoffs and stories. Can go the walking dead route if they wanted to, creating multiple plots within the universe happening nearly the same time, even a pre-war show would be amazing. I'm just honestly pleased and I couldn't stop grinning the whole time watching, that i'm watching it again with random people on the internet. Love that you enjoyed it. Can't wait for S2, im blown away.
Todd Howard and Jona recently did a interview where they confirmed a few things and cleared up some confusion. The fall of Shady Sands began in 2277 and was nuked shortly after the event's of New Vegas and they made it clear that the events of New Vegas happened. It event's weren't retconned out of existence like some people seemed to think. The NCR also isnt gone. Todd said that the show like the games tells a local story but the NCR is a very large group and we havent seen the last of then.
I can't wait to see what they cook up for Season 2.
I’m so glad the NCR aren’t extinct, always loved them
Yes they fail and over expand, but they have ideals that they cling to despite the horror of the wasteland, my courier was always NCR Jesus
I was gonna say, the NCR can't end like this.
As a Fallout player since 1997 (I'm an old gamer woman who, sadly, is married to a non-gamer man), this series completely exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait for more.
I am pretty lenient when it comes to video game adaptions. This series is the BEST video game adaptation period.
Betty is "Blind Al", from Deadpool.
I will always recognize her from Roots. She will always be Kizzy to me lol
FUCK I KNEW I RECOGNISED HER
@ManicMeeks She was Kizzy!? I'm turning in my Black card. I've seen that movie way too many damn times not to recognize her, lmaooo.
So when we're first introduced to the brotherhood, it's a quiick and you will miss it. The radio chatter states that the west coast brotherhood and the Arwen (Prydwen's sister airship) got its orders from the East coast chapter.
As for the fact they were experimenting on the majority of the vaults, remember that some were still control vaults
The one thing that Vault tec seems to never have accounted for is Human Nature. Yes War never changes but humans can also do good. the NCR iis proof of that because the NCR grew out of a vault and 1 person can change the course of things (Vault Dweller, the chosen one, the courier, the Lone Wanderer, and and the lone survivor and now.... Lucy)
The brotherhood was founded by Roger Maxson, his descendant Arthur East with the lyons chapter to secure the citadel, where he later became leader
Not only are the surface dwellers different in how they want to save the world. Hank thinks his people are 100% behind him and Bud. Yet his own children, Chet, and his wife were against him, the closest of his own people are against what Vault-Tec wanted.
That was one of the ghouls she got released from the Super Duper Mart.
good eye
I've just started avoiding Grace's reviews. I usually find her thoughts about shows or movies and mine don't often match.
Watch the credits slowly, you'll see the New Vegas sign.
Meeks this was a blast. Thank you for the journey.
0:08 I don't want to set your eyes on fire. I just want to start a flame in your heart.
That was New Vegas baby!!!!! 😂🙌🏻
if you watch the end scene till the end youll see a billboard that says New Vegas cant wait for season 2 i
I don’t know anything about the games. But my favorite episodes were 6-8. Love your channel ❤
It is New Vegas. And I am hyped.
It's a barren and destroyed looking New Vegas though. Crop farms, city walls, most buildings except Lucky 38, Trading Post 188, all the surrounding landmarks, just gone. I'm very excited to learn what happened.
I really hope we get to see the NCR Veteran Rangers in the second season, I loved their outfits and I used to wear them in each playthrough of Fallout New Vegas
I'm one of those folks that would have preferred the trigger to The Great War be unknown so I had the same question during the board room scene. How would Barb let Janey be with Coop the day the bombs dropped if it was their plan to begin with? They would want the best case scenario, I've worked for a big company and "Total Atomic Annihilation" would be on a time table chart for a quarterly report. It should have been easy for Barb to make sure it happened during one of her custody windows.
But a great many things could have prevented it, I'm just hoping it wasn't Vault-Tec that started the war. That would be the ultimate irony, the best laid plans set asunder by the unpredictability of humanity.
I'm also curious if going forward they will make it more of a point to have these cryo Vaults be a corner stone of the overall story. It would really make Fallout more of Pre-War people treating the world as a big game, more of a direct through line of Us vs Them, Pre-War vs Post War. I know I've seen some theories that state that Vault 111 in Fallout 4 was meant to bring Pre-War people sympathetic to old America into Post War times since it seems like the cannon Sole Survivor is the male version that served in the Pre-War Army. Even the female Sole Survivor was a civil servant lawyer I believe, so people that were "contributing to American greatness".
If they continue on with this line of reasoning it would make sense for them to have cryo Vaults spread across The Wasteland so that they could all eventually pop out and retake America with a mixture of control Vaults and people like Vault 32 and 33, sheltered innocents used to being controlled by people they don't even realize know more than they do.
Barb wanted them to die.
Having a plan don't mean they enacted on it, or at least in time. By Musk's plans we would be back on the moon already, prepping for Mars. See where I'm going with this? 😁
I think Vault-Tec was willing to drop the bomb but China beat them to the punch. So yeah the uncertainty of human nature is why Janey was with Coop when the bombs fell.
The fact that they planned it, doesn't necessarily mean they were able to shoot first. It could still have been a surprise attack by the Chinese. The important thing was for Coop to hear his wife say it and understand the lengths she and Vault-Tec are willing to go to to push their agenda.
It was stated in fallout 2 and “confirmed” by one of the creators Tim Cain last year or so that China fired first, so I’m sticking with things starting before planned as most likely. I think it’s even been established somewhere in the lore before (or maybe I’m just conflating fan theories but still could explain it) that even though the enclave and/or someone else (apparently VaultTec) had plans to start a nuclear exchange on purpose, they were caught off guard before they were ready by governments doing what they do and failing hard enough at diplomacy to start the war early.
just bought the Fallout bundle on steam and been playing 76 that game is so good i love multipart shooting and exploring games
I just bought 1, 2 and tactics. I wanna try them. If i dont like the gameplay, ima jump into 3 and NV lol
@@ManicMeeks Meeks, I promise they will look VERY outdated and may feel the same way at first, but if you give them some time, I promise all the juicy lore and story tidbits are there, and they are awesome, as good or better than the ones you find in the modern Fallout games
@@ThunderWolf86 if its the pc version theres some mods to update the graphics it looks pretty good with the mods
I’ve never played the game. Watched the show because my kids & hubby all love it. From the first scene I was hooked. Can’t wait until Season 2! Appreciate your well-i formed commentary.
Did you catch the president of Rob Co in the flashback being Mister House? I assume Moldaver survived by being a billionaire and finding a different way to freeze herself since she was a known communist back in the day. What a fun ride...
I recognized House by the similarities of his voice before I noticed on screen! And about Moldaver, I heard a theory for her survival that I really like related to a FO4 plot line other than freezing…
I guess that the Ghoul had forgotten about that weak spot on the Knights when fighting Maximus in episode 2.
Was the game as full of people meeting each other multiple times by coincidence or having goals that just happened to intersect?
And pity that Lee died, as I was never quite sure of her story or how her actions furthered her goals.
He uses different bullets for that weak spot, not the bullets in episode 2.
Lee was a communist. Giving free power to the world and basically ending wars for energy resources was her goal.
@@samantaluna3870 He didn't have those bullets in episode 2?
@@AT-rr2xw in the slow mo of the double kill you see the round looks like a mini torpedo/nuke, bomb like tip with a propeller tail, the rounds at the observatory that he loads are sharp tipped
Yeah the rounds he used in the filly shootout were explosive rounds. The ones he was useing in the observatory were armor piercing.
The problem with your eye is probably the start of eyestrain. This is the time to use eyedrops to wash the "sand" out. Or, stop watching the computer screen for a day (horror!).
Doesn't this show just send a chill up your spine? Fantastic show. A Fallout Fan's dream come true.
Crazy, sexy, cool
I like how as the time goes on during the show the Okey Dokey changes from an upbeat at the beginning to the somber one at the very end.
Yeah, very chirpy during her wedding, scared but determined when she leaves the Vault and very hardened by the end
S2 is approved
I knew of the game, but was not familiar with it, yet I absolutely love this show and I think every episode was spectacular. So whoever disliked some episodes has really no excuse.
So Hank didn't recognize Moldever in episode 1 as soon as vault 32 opened 🤔
I'd count 'Fallout Plan B' as "nuclear protection on a budget". But thats a generous interpretation.
Looking forward to season 2!
Hey Meeks, if you haven't already, it may be worth it to you to watch the IGN interview "Fallout TV Show: The Biggest Burning Questions Answered (ft. Todd Howard & Jonathan Nolan)". Answers a lot of questions... BTW, Nerdist news has confirmed S2!
another good one is Tim Cain responding to those complaining about Retconning. I forget the name of the video but he talks about the criticisms of "inconsistincies". He talks about "unreliable narrators", then theres the fact that people and factions in the games even tell you untruths. plus its entirely possible that timelines in a post-apocylptic wasteland are really hard to "keep track of" properly unless you have a neutral party actually documenting everything. Otherwise BoS will always record events in BoS' favor, etc...
That was not the last of the NCR btw. Todd howard confirmed recently and he was bursting at the seams trying not to sat they are still alive
As a big Fallout fan i am Conflicted with this show, on one hand they made a awesome show, on the other hand it looks like they killed my favorite faction the NCR. Also the Brotherhood having Cold Fusion is not good for the wasteland at all.
How so?
Maybe S2 will further delve into what happened to them. This is like what, 15(??) years or so after the events of NV and FO4. A lot could happen in that time and as we saw in NV, the NCR wasn't exactly doing THAT well. They were spread thin and everything. And I think just because Shady Sands is no longer a thing, it doesn't mean the NCR is completely dead. There still could be different factions of them spread out everywhere. Moldaver's for example is one of them in the LA area? Who knows. I'm just gonna wait for S2 to see what's what.
You act like all of NCR members were in there but isnt true, did you forget NCR is spread over California?
I will never understand what people find interesting about the NCR. But no, the NCR isn't wiped off just because they destroyed one city. That's pretty stupid.
@@Dr.HooWho ya that true did kinda forgett that
It is new Vegas 😊
Why I have a feeling Maximus will turn into a Arthur Maxson. I hope not omg
Masterpiece.
And will you just look at the New Vegas destruction? Which ending???
ETA: I'm so sad that the NCR seems to be mostly destroyed. I live in hope that there is a secret stronghold out there, and that they got rid of those horrible Caesar's Legion goons at least.
I cant wait to see what ending they went for. Honestly I dont know what they would do for season 2. If you think about the games, there isn't a continuous main character that connects the fallout games. They technically dont have to continue with our three main character's story. We could go back to NV and see the events of NV through someone else's eyes in another new adventure. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
Meeks, where did you get your shirt? I love it. ❤
RIP NCR
is it really dead though i dont think she would go through all that just to light up a old dead city
@@ShantalhaitianPrincess There are other NCR cities out there, but I think she really is just lighting up a dead city here. :P
Definitely was new vegas :D
Love your reactions! I loved seeing New Vegas!
I quit watching Grace Randolph after she got dragged by the Birds of Prey director for spreading misinformation. She just always felt fake to me.
That was New Vegas
After digesting everything, I was like That's NV! lol
@@ManicMeeks right! lol this show for me may be better than LAST OF US and last of us was a great show and a great game but this right here..
Sad because corporate executives are as selfish in real life with developing AI and not giving a shit about the jobs they’re eliminating in the process. Those jobs are peoples livelihoods.
My main question is about Moldaver. How she skip hundred of years, I think that is a question must be solved. I mean it's supposed she is brilliant, but she must have access to cryo technology too. Maybe if we will know more about her with Ghoul divorce and being labelled as a commie.
It's solved in the story they told. She is a Vault-Tec higher up. She and her team are the creators of VTs post nuclear solution. OF COURSE they would keep her frozen in vault 31. Not only that separating her from her team (who I assume works for the Enclave) is perfect way to control the happy ending VT want's to provide.
@@ManicMeeks I'm not sure. I thought people from V-31 are not scientist only Bud's students. Like special vault for CEO's and executives obsessed with management and time. They think they are capable to lead people to civilization while v-32 and v-32 will be the salesmen. Scientist go to places like vault-4.
@@ManicMeeks Not to mention how her and mother appears to be way more than good old pals. There's still a lot left of the 31/32/33 mystery, and how it possibly connects to 4, Vault Tec, NCR, and the whole skebabble.
The ghoul who said "That's her" is one of the ghouls she rescued who said thank you on the way out.
I also wonder why Cooper's wife did not have the daughter with her.
yeah that was weird in the first episode at the party they said he was divorced from his wife and had to pay alimony which is weird cause she was one of the top execs at one of the most powerful companies in the world why would he have to pay her and as one of the most powerful people on earth that knew when the bombs would drop she would have had the daughter locked up with her in a vault ready to be frozen instead of out side at a party helping her dad.
I'm lil late but I think the reason they weren't in the vault is china dropped the bomb by surprise even though vault tec wanted to drop them first
@@robertonavarro7812 Well thanks for the spoiler! I kid LOL Thanks for the info
Can you please react to the Saban’s Power Rangers 2017 Movie!!! It is a very goooood movie. You may look at the name and think it is childish and cheesy. But it is hilarious and shows the growth of friendship and trustworthy. I swear it is a must watch.❤
Yeah Grace sucks
She didn't say that.
She said that Grace was wrong about that one thing due to her lack of videogame lore knowledge.
If she really felt that Grace sucks (like you apparently do), do y u really think she'd be watching Grace's videos in the first place?
Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta already confirmed..
Aliens instigated both America & the Chinese to fire nukes on each other.
