I’m confused about what my issue is. My left leg, below the knee and into the foot, swells up quite a bit. The only thing suggested was compression socks. My doctor says that the problem is not the lymph nodes but she won’t say what she thinks it is. I have almost zero respect for western medicine, anymore, so what to do or who should I see? Thank you for everything you do!
I just bought a dry brush today to help with lymph drainage and cellulite, and this tutorial is so comprehensive for how to go about doing it. Thank you!
Really appreciate all this excellent detail. I brushed today for the first time following your directions. I definitely have felt a 'boost' since then.
Thanks for this. I’m using the dry brush every few days and every other day using far infrared light with a vibration plate-Total Body Enhancement. I’ve noticed a major difference in skin elasticity improvement, muscle tone and energy, The far infrared improves collagen and heals skin of many issues. Planet Fitness has the Total Body machine.
I've been dry brushing for about 2x -3x a week for 6 ish months and I've noticed a difference. BUT when watching this video, I realized I need to make some tweaks and was clogging my lymph without knowing! I'm excited to see what results I get when brushing correctly now.
@@ayurax I noticed that my body was much less puffier (especially in the leg area and my ankles). And along with shaving my legs, by dry brushing my legs consistently (and body) my skin tone seems more even and "glowy."

16 years ago I had to have a radical hysterectomy and oopharectomy...and had lymph nodes removed in the groin and abdominal area as treatment for endometrial carcinoma that was in a later stage. My legs have since that time swelled up at the ankles...and the calf as well on my left leg...the problem was compounded last year when my left leg was broken in 2 places...complete fracture of the outer thinner bone ( fibula ❓️🤔❓️)...and under my heel...the rounded part of the heel bone was cracked almost all the way across underneath the foot. It has been over a year since my leg was broken...and I still have problems with pain and swelling( recovery was slow because of my age...66yrs. old...and I had severe vitamin deficiencies...11 yrs. as a vegetarian and then about 4 years vegan without taking supplements...and the orthopedic doctor couldn't operate to insert pins because I am allergic to nickel...and other metals)...is there ANYTHING that I can do about feet, ankle and calf swelling in my left leg ❓️🤔❓️
Great lessen. Might want to have a poster in view that shows how current the information is. Sort of a "sell by" date but more: This is current as of July 2019, etc.
I absolutely love watching your videos! You make a novice (like myself) feel like they can make your creations! I've watched this twice, and I want to make these for my kids. Thank you, Ann!
Hi I was just wondering if it’s possible that doing the lymphatic body brushing can make you lose weight?? I have lost 3 stone in about 8 or 9 months. There are other contributing factors but I wonder if doing that has had anything to do with it?? I haven’t been trying to lose weight btw!! 🌻
Thanks for your videos! My electrologist recommended that I do dry brushing for my legs since they appear prone to hyperpigmentation while healing. I searched it up and tried out your leg technique, and I was pleasantly surprised that it *also* had the added benefit of making my leg feel less weird-tingly-poopy (not sure what it is but it tends to happen all over my body during the beginning of my hormone cycles) so just generally a lot better. So now I’ll get to try it out and see if it helps the rest of me be less weird-tingly ^^
Thank you for this refresher (for me)! Greatly appreciate it. I have had my large lymph nodes removed at the right groin and behind my right knee due to Cancer, so should I still be moving the lymph towards the groin? Years ago when my lymphedema therapist taught me and when I was going for lymphatic drainage massage, they went towards the armpit and stomach to eliminate the stagnant fluid in my leg. Can you tell me what you recommend as I’m sure the knowledge and education has changed since I last was taught. Thank you!
I have one of these brushes but never thought to dry brush, this is my first time hearing this. I usually use my brush in the bathtub. So is this something that is necessary for everyone or is this only for those who have a problem with this lymphatic system you speak of? I’m trying to understand, but very good detailed video. It was soothing just watching 😅 I don’t even know how I got here 😂
Is the brush better than message with fingers (using a light body oil)? I know you said in the video you can message if a soft brush isn’t available. I’m just curious, what’s the benefit of the brush over finger message? Thank you for this video! I will be downloading the handouts for home…SO much valuable information and I don’t want to forget anything or skip a step. Also, what is the benefit of face and neck dry brushing if you have a healthy lymphatic system? I don’t have puffiness in the face or neck. I noticed the download on your website. Thanks again ❤️..
Thank you for posting information about manual lymph drainage! I just found you today and I have needed to hear all you are saying. After going through lymphedema therapy three times with three different therapists in the last 20 years, I still needed a refresher. I am interested in the dry brushing because it is increasingly difficult for me to be effective with my manual lymph drainage due to arthritis in my hands. Can the dry brushing take the place of the massage? Or are there other types of brushes that I should use also? Thanks again.
Hi there! I had Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma almost 5 years ago when I was 23. I went through chemotherapy and have had nothing but clean scans since 2019! So my question is, should I be brushing as if I DO or DONT have a compromised lymphatic system? Should I be brushing towards or away from my lymph nodes? I had one removed from my neck for a biopsy but again that was in 2018. Just not sure if I should approach this as a compromised or healthy lymph system. Thanks!
Idk but when I do it on my chronically inflamed neck I get instant relief and then when I put accupressure pointy pens on it it’s extremely painful and gets red indicating a lot of toxin storage there
I’ve done dry brushing and once I ended up with swollen hemorrhoids which was a pain in the butt (puns intended) … I know one thing…when I started dry brushing the swelling my knee went down overnight so I know that it works… but you have to keep it up making it apart of a routine.
Fabulous. Thank you! I really appreciate all the effort and detail. If it wasn't for you, I would've probably done it entirely wrong xD So much contradicting advice on UA-cam from amatuers.
Any advantage to lying down and brushing legs while they're above you and then standing or lying flat to finish back to front and towards groin?Any advantage to holding arms up while brushing towards armpits?
In ayurveda medicine dry brushing is only used for one of the body types the coffee body type the oily overweight body type. Dry brushing could be irritating for the other two body types and is best to do an oil massage
I am confused, in your last demo of Aug 16 you drain in the inguinal area. In this demo you drain towards the axillary. Kind of lost. If too much of a hassle pls don't bother to explain. Thx

I have a swollen lymph under my left arm, we have done much doctor visits and test and they've said it is not cancers. Close to my clavicle on the right, I would have some pressure and this happens throughout my right side, in the groin area, the ankle and knee, ear both to the front and back. Some night I would awake with so much pressure in the right, front clavicle area. Can you advise me on techniques to help drain these areas, please?
I do this daily before my shower. Once you get use to doing this, it does not really take that much time. Great results, very calming and you don’t have to go outside your house or pay fees. LOL
Oh thank you. I followed your video on full body and face dry brushing. I felt fantastic, showered and then felt nauseous for a little bit. It wiped me out the whole day. This is normal right?
Yes completely normal as dry brushing mobilises toxins around the body and this can make you feel tired and sluggish. You need to make sure you drink an enormous amount of water to help eliminate the toxins. Also go slow and dont do too frequently. Would recommend epsom salt bath after to help with the detox, again use little amount at first. Taking binders is also crucial

People don’t need to do this. The body is a perfect system. What makes it imperfect is how they live their lives and what they consume.
I've dry brushed for about 3 yrs few times a week and it's the best affordable exfolliator and anti-cellulite massage.

Didn't know there was a procedure for dry brushing. Learn something new every day.
We were doing this 50 years ago, elencyl sold special brushes, probably as useful then as it is now. Nothing like a good massage.
