@@dionysos6838 yeah but jon only done single stroke on bass while lang does doubles. But concept all jon. But lang just made it better.

I've seen a lot of good drummers over the years but the double stroke speeding up with the feet while slowing down with the hands back and forth was the most insane thing I've ever seen this dude is not completely human
Check out jon hisman. Were the concept came from but lang made it better.

Dude, this made me start practicing everyday again after watching this a few weeks ago. I literally yelled out loud "THAT'S NOT REAL!". I had no idea this was even possible...
It's not insane it's inhuman. That's the most difficult, impossible thing I've ever seen.

In world filled with technical virtuoso drummers, Lang is the only one to me that is MINDBLOWING. He seems to make a habit of breaking ground.
2:44 - That's the most relaxed left hand a person could ever see. Its as if the stick is nearly moving on its own. Never seen anything like this.
And he is even showing middle finger to the limits of human body

The great Thomas Lang! Invokes elements of Buddy Rich. Intense speed, precision, and command of the kit.
Please. Lang would waste Rich and then Rich would still turn around and criticise Lang.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 Irrelevant. Rich preceded Lang. And Rich’s playing and style are ubiquitous in modern drumming. Every drummer is influenced by Rich to some degree (directly or indirectly, positively or negatively, realized or not). Lang certainly did not develop his drumming in a vacuum. Anyone who’s seen Rich can easily see elements of Rich’s playing clearly present in Lang’s playing. That’s a good thing, a very good thing. Lang is amazing! But that is one of the reasons why.
@@scottstedeford7575 Who cares is Rich preceded Lang. That's the most irrelevant thing ever. Lang would annihilate him in every way today with his limb independence alone. Rich couldn't touch half of what Lang can do on a bad day and you know it!

No style of drumming is out of reach for this guy ,he could do extreme fast double bass metal drumming, to crazy jazz, I've learned loads about my personal approach to my own style, through watching Thomas, and JoJo mayer etc , awesome ambidexterity.
The speeding up/slowing down is one of his MO's. Incredible control and dynamics. Must have taken ages to learn that. :)
