Potwheelz You definitely are a bassist. You have no idea what you just said... this dude has so much technique. I know a guy who mixes music for professional musicians like tony rooster and Thomas and he showed me a bit last week that he is working on for Thomas Lang and he said that it was so easy to mix his set bc he is so accurate and he has so much dynamics when he plays. All those little things you see that he has on his kit have a purpose and a place. He isn’t a drummer he’s a musician. Dude you obviously need to practice more and know what your talking about before you open your mouth about drumming.
@@spencerorlando8074 Yea I lol'd when I read Potwheelz comment. Out of all the things he could try and criticize Thomas Lang on he chose technique? Get the fuck outta here lmao. Clearly he knows nothing about the man or drumming. I'm convinced his comment had to be bait.
Insane. I am not even a drummer and I know when he plays I am watching someone who is almost beyond his instrument. He is just amazing and seems to be a cool dude. Watch his Vlogs when he was touring with Paul Gilbert he is just genuine dude.
PDP is undertated. This kit is awesome! If I were to buy a new drum set today, it would be this kit All maple, sounds sick! And Lang at 8:55 melted my face!
6:23 Creazy Man.. I Love Thomas Lang.. What independent coordination it is. Behind it is a pig work. And the hardest thing is to play on the beat at the click and that at an insane speed without getting out of step. Only to play this small section do some need a lifetime to be able to do that , You can't practice that, you have to be born for it. Thomas got the drums in the cradle. I envy him for that
5:50 For me, that's the true measurement of a dedicated percussionist. One who has spent countless hours training their brain and teaching their limbs how to be independent yet also work together for a coherent and cohesive beat/rhythm. It takes nothing but practice and when it clicks you never loose it. If you watch this and get frustrated that you don't have that type of independence yet just remember how many hours and years he spent since he was a boy. ALSO if anyone would like to send me a smaller kit to practice my independence on I certainly won't say no ;) My poor e drums bit the dust :/// and now I'm stuck with the dull thud of plastic and mesh :(
I used a broken Yamaha DTXplorer kit (only the dull thud of plastic as you say) for years and years before I had my own acoustic kit, if you care enough about the craft you can practice on anything.

Really impressed with the sound of this set. I bought the pdp Concept set with Walnut stain and natural wood hoops. They sound great, look fantastic and a very reasonable price. I have no problem gigging with this kit but these carbon fiber wrapped drums have taken it to an entirely different level! Well done PdP for making such great gear at affordable prices!!

I remember reading about a carbon fiber shell kit made by Yamaha, only 2 kits were ever made. One of those kits, with gold plated hardware, was for Tommy Aldridge. Shortly after moving to Palm Desert, CA, I came across a small hole in the wall drum shop, and in the back room, there was that very kit. The wall behind the kit was lined with different pedals. The only drummer in the world who could play at 10 different gigs at the same time.
And sip coffee. Or beer.
He can play progressive death metal, and be bop jazz too. His skills are pretty infinite

The PDP concept maple kits sound like a DW kit.. DW really can’t make a bad kit
That gong drum sounds like there’s a metal bar inside it though
On the gong drum I thought he was doing rimshots...That might explain the sound...But I could be wrong.
Rimshot is what I thought also. The head of the drum is down deep in the ring, making the rim shots almost automatic.
