    Bruce had a single data point himself, Jen supplied a second datapoint which allowed Bruce to locate the genetic complex which enables them to process gamma radiation, actually a standard procedure for locating familial genetic traits, and understand why the snap damaged him the way he did, it created a baseline from before the snap because he didn’t have a blood sample from before because he had destroyed then all. It allowed him to understand how the complex interacted with the rest of his blood chemistry post snap.

      @@ThunderKat2012 see I love Fixit and I’ve been toying with a theory that as much as Smart Hulk seems like it’s Banner controlling Hulks body I feel this is actually another persona and I would love if at the end of She Hulk after Bruce helps her with something she’s thanking him and he says nonchalantly “Just call me Mr Fixit”. That would be amazing as a, it’s a twist as we learn the hulk of the past 6-7 years is not who we thought, b, introduces Bruce’s DID and c, could lead into interesting stories for him in the future.
      I know what your thinking he’s currently green and Fixit is grey but this isn’t so out of the box, just look at the immortal hulk series, while Bruce is suppressed by the Leader/OBA Fixit assumes control of Bruce’s human form and still hulks out in green but with red veins showing so there would be comic precedent for it.

      Her saying better was just the cousin thing. Her ability’s are in no way better.
      The only thing you could have argued was her not having an alter ego from child abuse, but I wouldn’t exactly call that a “super power”.
      What are your super powers? Among mine are teleportation, advanced regeneration, invulnerability, super strength, and not being physically abused by my parents as a child.
      See it doesn’t really work.
      Edit: at first I was really excited and thought, “car crash, Bruce is unconscious, she’s gonna give him a an emergency blood transfusion but in doing so, his super cells are actually gonna crawl up the tube without her realizing it and it acts almost as a reverse transfusion that’s how she gets her powers!”

      I think the gamma radiation of the Infinity Gauntlet once Hulk snapped, used a large portion of Banner's already gamma radiated blood as well. Which in turn, made it harder for the Hulk to heal. And the reason I think that it is that way is it only effected the arm and hand the gauntlet was on. So that amount of gamma radiation in Hulk arm that was already present, would equal the amount of radiations that the gauntlet would need to power the "snap".

    The guys outside the bar scene was to show that all men are pigs and help transition to the next scene. A better way to do that scene would have the guys trying to help her, but Jen mistakes their help and over reacts and hulks out, possibly destroying their car before passing out while He-Hulk walks towards her. But then we wouldn't get to see how all men are pigs.

    • @Magdalena8008s
      @Magdalena8008s Рік тому +2

      Or ya know, the way they did it is fine and you don't have to read into it to assume all men are bad.
      When I see scenes like that, I just go; "some dudes are pigs" because that's just life. I don't take it personally. Alot of men do. Which tells me you are scared they are talking about you.

    • @BattleDamageProps
      @BattleDamageProps Рік тому +3

      @@Magdalena8008s when you go for the ad hominem attacks it belittles what ever point you were trying to make. In this video Rob even points out that scene was problematic.
      Your need to insult and insinuate is why platforms like Twitter are failing.
      That scene, structurally, could have been done better and added more depth to Jen Walter's charecter. The way it's played is to try to justify her neurotic dislike of men. Even though the show is going to lean into her dating life and wanting that companionship.
      You may not have noticed, but during the bathroom scene Jen repeatedly said no to several things the women were doing. She didn't hulk out or over react, and they were far more in her personal space then any of the guys outside the bar were. By having the men act in a similar altruistic way as the women, but Jen still freaks out and Bruce arrives to see her about to crush these dudes before passing out, would justify his thinking that going to Mexico is a good idea. We as the viewers would agree with that as well. What we got instead was a minor self inject of a wish fulfillment in this scene.
      Additionally, Jen was the one driving the vehicle. She blames Bruce for her situation even though she was in control of the vehicle and he did warn her to stay back repeatedly (she probably wasn't thinking straight after an accident like that). She repeatedly fails to take responsibility or accountability for any of her actions in the show and within 15 minutes over comes ever adversity and hard ship thay Bruce has had to endure for 15 years. Her weird fixation on captain America's sexuality while complaining about being objectified by men undercuts her issues about being sexualy harrased.
      This content was not meant for me, and that's OK. Just like it is OK for you to want this content. In the future try not to undercut the value of your statment by belittling others in an attempt to pump up your own point. You were doing fine with out that.

In fact, just do a full replacement team and a tandem story where the OG FF are doing a sort of Lost in Space type story, but flashing back to NY, where Jen is with Toby's Peter Parker and they are doing the white suit phase, then hand that Peter over to become Superior Spider-Man and ultimately get disposed of whenever they want.

    I get the complaints about the villains but if you really think about it, they can't always have villains with interesting arcs. There's not enough time and not all villains can stick around after their series or movies and it's impossible to write some of the less interesting villains as good as Killmonger or Zemo. I don't think there's a real problem, you'll have your Kangs and you'll have your Malakeths.

    Pertaining to the bar scene, I think the screen writers and show runners wanted to emphasize that women commonly go through that kind of harassment especially when they are isolated at night at a bar where guys have been drinking. They then further drive that point home when she brought it up when arguing with Banner later in the episode.

    I think Titania will probably be a mutant in the MCU.
    The moment where Jennifer Walters was confronted by the guys outside plays to the tone of making the character a relatable female. 1 in 5 women face some form of sexual assault, so we have to stop pretending like it's too on the nose or "in your face" because it's literally in their (women's) faces all the time. It isnt a forced joke. It's reality bleeding in to fantasy.

    The first five minutes could have been better or tweaked, but overall I truly enjoyed it. In fact after hearing reports that it was going to be a comedy it didnt feel like one. It felt very serious. Balanced. But I truly loved -- and appreciated -- one underrated aspect that the MCU, so far, has lacked: family. The first episode felt like a familial episode, combining legacy elements of the past while moving to the new generation. Loved both Jenn's and Bruce interactions and connection. While some other shows have had it as well(Hawkeye or Falcon/Winter Soldier) this one felt like it hit all the right notes. Was it done too fast? I think so. But I also think this could have been an interesting movie. In fact I think it would have worked. All because Bruce/Hulk made it that better.
    Thats why I think it worked, at least for me. Because of Bruce/Hulk. His appearance gave the episode a much needed dose of nostalgia, while at the time reminding us why Bruce works as a supporting role or in this case main character. I am convinced that Bruce can make a tv or movie compelling. But for now, Jenn did her job. I am sold on her and truly loved and appreciated the authenticity she brought to the episode. I'm all in.

    Weirdly enough, I feel like every project that came out had the potential to really shift the tone for the mcu going forward, but the reason each one fell flat (at least up to this point. We'll see how She-Hulk turns out), is because Disney is a half-measure. They play with the idea of tackling darker and more serious subject matter and the tone for those stories, but it ultimately always is just that "playing with the idea" but never truly embracing or walking in it. They always fake out and leave the audience with no real sense of urgency, no real sense of direction, no real sense of consequence, and therefore, no real sense of investment in the events that transpire. She-Hulk isn't really that dark of a character. I mean, the idea of her losing the ability to become Jennifer Walters or even have her one day just get sent into a rage that is close to World-Breaker levels, and then we see the aftermath, sounds promising, but I'm not holding my breath.
