Shang Chi happened before She-Hulk. That video of Abomination has been found and is just now going viral. That's why people are outraged that he somehow escaped prison, did a cage fight, and came back. Jennifer's boss wouldn't have been so calm and say "turn on the news' if their Star Client JUST ESCAPED.

That would also make sense as to how Bruce could appear via hologram at the end of Shang Chi, yet the show depicted him flying off to Sakaar.

This show takes place after Shang Chi Rob. Bruce is in the end credits scene of that movie and he is still on Earth as Bruce with the inhibitor that he had in Episode 1
I was thinking the same thing. In Shang Chi, it was established in the conversation between Wong and Abomination that their fights were a regular occurrence.

Bruce and Emil both thinking that it's wayyy behind them is so heartwarming. It makes me remember seeing the Incredible Hulk in theaters all those years ago. Loved this episode and every great Easter egg it had
I’m so grateful for your positive takes and pointing out that the shows are basically comic books. People have been so hard on these things but 1) they’re the biggest entertainment out there and 2) they don’t seem to understand this is based on comics.

it's pretty cool seeing Blonski and Wong get some shine. This is truly the MCU formula, taking lesser loved characters and making us care about them. what better way than having a lawyer convince us? I think She Hulk could be a new launchpad for MCU characters the way the FF was in the comics.

I could see Planet hulk as a tv show them World war hulk as a movie, like they could really build all the relationships he has on Sakaar through a show then have the epic fights and visuals of a film for World war hulk, I think World War Hulk needs to be a movie, I just don’t know how they would justify his reasoning for coming back and fighting all the earth superheroes since it seems like he’s leaving on his terms and not being forced to( I haven’t had a chance to watch She Hulk yet)
i like that idea alot. and yes marvel has alot of explaining to do to make this make sense. imo i think they should have left hulk on sakaar during ragnarok if they were gonna do him this dirty in terms of character development just to send him all the way back to sakaar.

I feel like they treated his story in Ragnarok was basically them doing a quick and easy Planet Hulk and we’ll just get a World War Hulk series or movie down the line. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of the unconfirmed dates for phase 6 that they’ll announce at investors day or D23

One thing I've (not the only one I'm sure) noticed each series ends or contains at least 'big deal' reveal/moment or addition. Like Ms. Marvel ended introducing mutants, so She Hulk could totally end with a Wolverine cameo and the internet will break lol. It'd probably be some unseen character and a secretary comes in and says "There is a James Howlett (or a Logan) here to see you."

That is the way I've been watching them . its the best idea. I have a friend who skipped Loki and What If and I said to him a few weeks ago you need to watch it because it sets up and explains the rips in the multiverse and timelines and the idea of variants. The only one I didn't watch was Ms. Marvel which seemed a little to teeny bopperish although it seems obvious Marvel was more interested with this show in expanding and solidifying their fan base to target young girls and minorities. Not judging that strategy either way in fact its a sound business move on their part expanding their audience but its obvious that show had a very specific target audience and I felt that as soon as I saw Ms. Marvel get her powers that was enough for me.

I'm so surprised rob forgot about hulks state in shang chi's end credit scene. This definitely takes place after as many said hulks arm would be healed. Scratch that,, he'd be smart hulk in that scene if this show took place during shang chi! C'mon rob!
I hope Planet Hulk / WWH is a movie & not a TV series. They need a big budget to pull that off adequately.
They also need to make sure they pretty much go 1 for 1 with the comics with almost no discrepancies. Planet Hulk in the comics and Cartoon Movie are both well done. As long as they don’t try to insert any politics of any kind not the least hint of any kind, other than what was set up in the comics/cartoon, it’ll be great. So no smart hulk, no professor hulk, we need the other Hulk back.
A koronan other than korg? Fine.
A bug creature other than meek? Good.
But EVERYTHING ELSE needs to be 1 for
1.Planet is a barren wasteland not a trash heep.
2. A Cesar esk king rules the planet using the creatures.
3. His second in command is the gray woman who is skilled, quiet (no politics)
Gosh dang I’m not gonna even finish this list, Disney is gonna find some way to screw this up.
They are gonna use the name, to get seats (if they haven’t learned their lesson) and go off in their own little emasculating venture of the Hulk.
Rather than telling one of the 2 greatest Hulk stories ever told.
They have the ability to make 2 of the greatest hulk stories ever told happen.
Planet Hulk, and World War Hulk.
They are part 1 and part 2 of what many consider to be the greatest Hulk stories ever told, but they are just gonna muck it up.
Universal had the opportunity too but now in June 2023 it’s going over to Disney.

Maybe they can do it justice, but I doubt it. There is a little hope, but it’s gotta go 1 for 1 with the story man. None of this planet hulk inside a Thor movie shtick.

With how the MCU is treating Hulk, this will be a comedy movie where Taika Watiti will direct and Skarr will utter the words "DA DA" a million times while doing the stupidest things imaginable. All the while The Hulk will get slapped around and say bruh.

I don’t think She-Hulk happens the same time as Shang-Chi, for the simple fact Bruce’s arm is fixed in the show but was still damaged during Shang-Chi.
Rob, you have any theories or ideas on how Doc Samson and Rick Jones might fit in the MCU?
What's with all the feet shots? Is Quentin Tarantino directing this show? It was noticable in episode 1 as well.
All I can think every time I see the screenshot is that it says "Iron Man Three's" (shoe ad), underneath it says Related Articles and then all the fun easter eggs. Does rewatching Iron Man 3 maybe point towards some connections they're setting up?

Well do we know when the events of The Eternals took place within the main timeline? The Dreaming Celestial could have happened recently and its out in the middle of the vast ocean so it makes sense they wouldn't know about it just yet.
Based on dialogue, it’s sometime after the events of Endgame from what I gather

I actually thought Hulk was talking about the fact that Professor Hulk is not just Bruce in Hulk’s body, but an entirely different personality created by trying to combine Bruce’s mind and Hulk’s strength. I was hoping world war hulk would be about the true Hulk personality being angry at Banner for trapping him in their mind since he wouldn’t fight Bruce’s battles.
Her complaining about being related to the hulk and I'm like "B*tch YOU ARE A HULK!" Rob is right she spent a huge chunk of this episode complaining that she is getting what she wants. Still like the show though, flawed but funny character.
I’m not gonna lie, there was a lot of left leaning woke garbage coming from Disney, and there was a little bit in this episode (which I didn’t like [men are bad]) but the rest of the episode was pretty nice.

I don't think She-Hulk is skipping chronological order, because in the post credits scene for Shang-Chi, Bruce's arm was all jacked up still, yet in ep 1 of She-Hulk her blood healed his arm.

Marvel's doing a good job getting the story moving with two episodes. I'm really looking forward to episode 3. Marvel knows the bad guys are what's going to make this show.
I'm intrigued more for the crossovers, the character development of the She Hulk as she seems like a semi likeable character. I'm not really sold on MR as the Hulk but then it's always harder for someone to follow another actor if that was the first time someone saw them and everyone who plays the Hulk will have a tough time with the Lou Ferigno comparisons.
There is one gaff in she hulk and Shang Chi running parallel. Banner is still in the sling post credit

I'm calling it now. The ship that caused the car crash in episode 1 was sent by Kang. Its part of his plan to tear apart the avengers by causing word war hulk. He's building his own team of heavy hitters who will hate the current avengers. (world breaker hulk and the Scarlet witch)
Great theory if that ties in ..is Planet Hulk where he meets the Red and Grey Hulks? sorry for the novice question but I'm not to familiar with the Planet Hulk arc. How does Bruce have his arm in a sling in the post credit scene for Shang Chi if his arm got fixed by Jen in the first episode, and when does the post credit scene take place if hulk left earth on the Sakaar ship?
Simple, this show takes place sometime after his appearance in Shang Chi and the pos credit scene from the first episode was most likely during Jen’s training with Bruce. It’s not that hard to piece together lol
That last scene with Abomination has me believe that the post credit scene in 10 rings is the reason why Bruce/ the Hulk is in Space. Looking for a connection with the beacon….

I was intrigued by Hulk in the space ship flying off somewhere . I think it is probably him traveling to wherever Capt Marvel is to learn about or help with the upcoming invasion. I would love love love though if he's off to find other Hulks like Red and Grey Hulk.
Well he did say in the first episode the ship was from sacarr so he wants to find out what messages they're sending and the fact he just took the same ship that attacked them I doubt he's going where captian marvel is.

Here is a problem. The Shang Chi after credits scene had them analyzing the rings. Bruce was there with his arm in the sling. His arm is fixed at the beginning of the first episode of she hulk and then he leaves Earth 9/10 of the way through the 2nd. Yet at the end of the 2nd episode Emil had broken out of jail and then events of Shang Chi is half over. From what I could tell Jennifer was looking for work for a while.
They have a bit of broken continuity going on.
I don't think Blonsky escape was happening at that moment, more like they discovered that he already escaped and returned, the footage is now trending on social media so the general public (and the media) found out about it
@@ZrodyApo what he's trying to say is that Bruce banner examined the rings a couple days after the events of shang-chi. He healed his arm with his cousin's blood before this happened. But when he was examining the rings his arm was still in a sling. Continuity issues
Not actually, In Shang chi there’s a scene where Wong takes him back to the same cell you see in this episode after their fight in the cages, so most likely the prison has some sort of back-alley deal going on with the fight ring to secure fighters. But somehow someone was able to leak footage from the fight and release it to the media, so the media is assuming that this footage is current and that he’s escaped, when in reality the footage is old and he’s still in prison
That’s why he’s in prison when Jen visits
@@ironlungs3170 I personally don't see any continuity issue, the ending of Shang-Chi happens before the beginning of She-Hulk, Bruce Banner arm was still not healed and then he's healed in the 1st episode
@@MrIsaiah7891 The problem with that is you are adding to the evidence with a guess. You could be correct or you could be wrong. Perhaps in the next episode we'll have enough information to get a conclusive answer.
My problem with the idea of World War Hulk is we've already seen Marvel relegate 2 of Hulk's Warbound to jokey side characters (for Thor at that). So I really don't know how Marvel moves around things like that considering we had no hints of a Caiera, Elloe, Hiroim, etc in Ragnarok

It’s not necessarily happening at the exact same time. They said footage surfaced of the underground fight. It wasn’t live. She-Hulk could easily be taking place weeks (or even months) after Shang Chi 🤷🏾♂️ and then somehow someone found or leaked that video of Abomination.
If anything, since he’s getting a lawyer and going to trial, what if the “opposing side” had that video in their back pocket and just timed the leak/release of it, based on him getting a lawyer? Aka gaining favor on the opposing side in court. Making the jury think he’s just a bad guy. I don’t know.

Rob 1 thing is off in the video they show us Abomination fighting wrong which means that this it's taking place alongside of shang chi but at the end of that movie Bruce Banner is seen to still be in his arm sling but we know currently he's not even on Earth and his arm is healed so I think that's just a mistake that Marvel may have made

If Shang Chi is occurring at the same time, how can there be a Bruce talking via Avengers hologram at the end of the movie if he is on Sakaar?
If the show is alongside Shang Chi in the timeline because of the Abom cage fight reveal, how do we see Bruce in Shang Chi's post credits with the sling on his arm?
That footage being leaked must be old, because Bruce's arm has already healed AND he's in outer space during this show.
