This filter should appeal to anyone who doesn't want to do lots of research on how to keep the needed bacteria healthy and happy. Have had several notable, expensive, tragic biological disasters in tanks I've owned in the past. After about 10 years, I gave up. Although I had successes, the failures were too hard to live with. So although I'm not a lazy fish keeper, this thing sounds amazing! 💙
The cool part is that these microbes are highly efficient at consuming the waste, so the module gets better and stronger with time! I keep pushing my cousin to bring this to market. Lol.
I'm interested in this. A close cousin of mine is really into water quality as a sub speciality in the fish keeping hobby. And I'm thinking of getting into the hobby again, after 20 years, but I'm very lazy with maitenance.
I want one! He could sell a ton of these to the aquarium community... Can we buy the bio media? Having the whole filter would be best but I would like to buy the biomedia in the meantime.
Different kind of question, my cloths don’t come clean and white cloths don’t stay white, I have hard water, can I put Java’s in my washing machine? I have well water, so lots of iron in my water please help
Hi Lorraine, great question, but unfortunately no. There are living microbes in the module that consume organic waste. Iron is inorganic and wouldn't be consumed by the microbes, so this wouldn't be the right product for you. You need some sort of filtration system like a water softener that pulls hard water minerals out of solution before they hit your washer. Good luck!
Thank you for your response, when I saw the javax turn the water brown it was a red flag so I knew it wouldn’t be good, having said that, if I do get a filtration system, (water softener) then could I use javax? 😬
I think your family just changed the entire aquarium world with this! Please release this so I can go on vacation and not worry about my fish lol
I know, right? I just spoke to my cousin a few days ago, and his plan is becoming a reality. I'll keep you posted.
@@HandzforHire seriously please do! I'd be interested to buy one or even a couple immediately!
Please, that would be awesome…I’ve been looking for something like that forever
