I've been battling the shanks now for like 3 months and found out that another thing that's not in the video that can cause it is ball too forward and the big thing is tempo. Just got to completely slow down the tempo.
Mike's tip for shanking pitch shots was so helpful. I have tried other tips but the shanks returned. I visualize keeping the hands under the shoulders on backs wing and follow through and it works every time. My anxiety level has gone down dramatically when I need to make a short pitch. Thanks Mike for the tip and keep up the good work.
Had the shanks for 18 months on and off ... had lessons to cure it but nothing worked ..so saw this and tryed it .. it's a miracle haven't hit a shank after 100 plus balls .. the best tip ever .. thanks so much .. Neville Harvey

Man I hate the shanks. I’ve been playing for almost 50 years now and it still rears its ugly head every once in a while. Thankfully it only last for a few holes or on a really bad occasion for a few weeks. Then it just goes away. I have a friend who is a pretty good golfer and he had it for a couple of years. Thankfully he finally got over it because it was painful to watch him go through it. Good luck to all and a big FU to the shanks.
Would you recommend more connection between the armpits and side of pecs to help keep the hands under the shoulders? I tend to get in trouble when my hands float away in the downswing.
Hi David, I would also think about trying to put pressure into your lead heel as opposed to your left toe. If that drill helps you keep your hands in front of your chest, it may help as well. Thanks for watching.

I really like the visualization of keeping the hands under the shoulders. That's very helpful.
Thanks Ben. Keeping the shoulders turning throughout the downswing seems to help too. See you soon!
I’ve got the yips bad and it’s killing my rounds... I’m gonna go practice this today!
