vampires seduction is great for vampires trying to stay fully fes or vampires playing in survival. npcs under the effect allow you to feed on them as much as you want. it works on most non hostile npcs and is perfect for getting some free food in towns and cities. its a pretty useful non-combat power
I think the night vision is absolutely useless. Makes no difference and is literally just a blue filter. Downrank everything with the stupid blue filter
The switch has skyrim but it's super dark without the ability to brighten the game. The ability is good for caves and such. However i just tend to use the candlelight spell.
It used to be good. The OG night vision was actually useful but then it got patched (I think 1.5 or 1.9 made the change, I can’t remember) and got that stupid blue filter.
Voice of Emperor is underrated on rogues imo. When you're a glass xanon who wants to isolate enemies, it's a great panic button when you get overwhelmed. The agro on damage isn't an issue when you're dealing X30 back stabs, and the other rcalmed units don't agro to their friends dying. It can also be a good way to handle a room where rhe enemies aren't giving you a good angle to get through unseen. All that combined with the passive bonus gold spawns that will rack up big time when you're constantly looking houses and picking pockets makes Imperial my go-to rogue race every time!
Black market is the best in its book why waste time finding a merchant when you can sell whenever you want why bother with the butler when you can sell instead of have the butler hold the items
One summons worth of septims every 24 hours is extremely insufficient to empty ones bags. It is best used for controlling emcumberance while in a dungeon. One good weapon depletes his entire septim supply.
if i remember with the secret of arcana when you cast the electric master level destruction spell during its duration, you dont run out of mana because it's more of a concentration cast compared to say flame spells. this basically meaning you can kill any boss regardless of difficulty
No 24 is my absolute favorite. I have a passive mage and having that music box is so fun 🎉 cool tier Also when you use the drum in battle, if an enemy hits it, they'll waste time attacking the drum instead of you
It's been forever, but I'm pretty sure the Breath of "Nunchuck" (lol) can be used without interrupting your current action. Once your stamina is ludicrously high (which it'll likely be by the time you get it) it's basically free DPS. I think it's a decent mid tier. I haven't played it yet, but in Anniversary Edition there's allegedly an item that helps you move incredibly fast but makes you blind, so the Khajiit and Vampire sight powers should help. I'm pretty sure that even though it only says 15x, the Berserker Rage stacks with the 15x damage to deal 30x damage with a dagger. Regardless, great video! I forgot how ludicrously STRONG the powers are in this game. So many of them deal major damage or incapacitate enemies or give you godlike stats or just win your fight immediately (Nightingale Subeterfuge, Berserker Rage, Karstaag).
Thanks for the upload Pirate; IDK if I've commented this before but your videos are always super comforting. I hope you keep enjoying creating great content, you rock!
This is the first list which ive had some problems with, so the first thing i disliked was the fact that the abilities which let you see better arent lower because an effect that u can get by turning up yout brightness makes it far worse and overall most caves are never too dark and it might be useful in the day but u could just wait for daytime with the wait feature. The serpent stone should be a decent bit higher because the only other ways to get paralysis would be poison or the spell which costs 450 magicka to use. also the damage isnt too bad for early game and using it to pickpocket skill trainers after spending thousands of coins just paralyze them then pickpocket them in the getup animation which has a 100% chance of working. As someone who has played through legendary as a sword and board orc i am personally disrespected at the placement of number 3 for berserker rage as it gives insane tankiness and insane damage for example i killed the ebony warrior in 5 hits. On legendary necromancy is useful but overall i would say its worse as its annoying to bring enemies long distance (as they have limited time) it still is useful but berserker rage is definitly better. My main issue is that you put secret of arcana at number oen now dont get me wrong i know its power and it is quite op (levelling skills casting spells you normally wouldnt have stuff like that) personally i have used it on two playthroughs (one a magic-focused battlemage and the other that sword and board orc) and while it has been good for using thrall spells however spells mid combat arent the best when focusing builds that arent mages or wont use restoration also an effect of berserker rage people dont know about is that it effects bows. Also on legendary i tested it and it let me easily tank the ebony warrior and karstaag so overall i think it is better. This was my argument overall its a great list and a good video.
My 2 biggest issues with the list are Berserker Rage and Highborn. To start with the stinker, Highborn is kind of trash. Casting a spell disables all magicka regeneration. So, if you use Highborn, you need to significantly reduce your DPS in order to see any benefit at all. It's good for a fast single refill of your magicka, but you can just pause and chug a few potions. It also doesn't scale into the endgame at all. By the time you have enough magicka to where it would actually be better than just potion spam, you should be wearing enchanted gear that reduces the spell cost to 0 for your spells. If magicka regen wasn't disabled while charging a spell, it would be WAY better, but as it stands, it's just a worse potion that reduces your DPS to use. Berserker Rage is the clear top power. It effectively just turns the difficulty down 2 tiers for 60 seconds at a time. If you play on Adept, you get to play on Novice for a fight, if you play on Legendary, you get to play on Expert. It's insanely strong. UESP says it doesn't affect spells, but you can easily become immune to magic, and being able to just DOUBLE your damage output is broken. Nothing even comes close.
Highborn is almost useless when you have two powers that instantly refill Magicka and two others that reduce magicka costs significantly(or completely) for 30/60 seconds.
You litterally just have to wait two seconds for a significant amount of mana back, it's still pretty damn good and actually it's scales pretty damn well, as far as I can't tell the numer scales with the player
One thing you dont mention is that self target powers are the only thing you can use while knocked down/staggered/paralysed. This means that powers that help heal/reduce damage while you are helpless are more useful for difficult fights. (Ebony warrior/graybeards/deathlords) They are often your only option when playing stupid hard modded or "unwinnable" content as well
Interesting video, I didn’t know some of these powers existed, are some of them DLC or something? Also, are the Black Books something in the base game, or DLC? Love the videos man, keep up the good work.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. All of the powers here are in the base game, but they can be tricky to find. The black book powers are from the “Dragonborn” expansion. You should have it if you have the legendary, special, or anniversary edition of the game. Hope this helps. Lmk if you have anymore questions!
Smithing skill can provide max damage reduction with just two peices of armor. I wear light boots(low noise stealth benefit) and heavy gauntlets(Fists of Steel damage bonus in all of those quest brawls).
My fave power isn’t in the list you said you left it out along with the vamp I could care less for bein a vamp my fave power is beast form most of my characters I make are these berserker type characters chargin into battle with what ever weapons i have slashin or clubim everything in my path I find an enemy that’s powerful I use beast form
@@TypicalPirate55 Both, It's not a huge issue because I can just turn up my volume but still. Do need to turn it back down again because most video's on youtube are rather loud.
Haven't watched the video yet but I'm going to bet the black market and berserker rage are in the top five. Edit: surprised that Black market is not in the top five, I mean black market can benefit ANY build, mage, warrior, assassin, thief, Archer, you get the point. Edit 2: It doesn't make sense to rank vampire seduction because much like the werewolf powers and vampire lord powers, it serves one purpose, and it's not even a "traditional" power, from my personal experience it's a key part of vampire gameplay.
Yeah, many of the powers are very tame. I had to set parameters for what powers to include on the list, and vampire’s seduction fit perfectly within those parameters.
@TypicalPirate55 I suppose so, but vampire seduction can only be used by vampires, if you have vampire seduction it means you're a vampire, and it's basically required for you to use vampire seduction, I can think of an instance in the dawnguard DLC (assuming you're with the vampires) where you're forced to use it, it's something you're going to use no matter what, as a vampire you also going to use vampire seduction to get rid of the Suns negative effects, I can't imagine not using vampire seduction, it's the only reliable way to drink blood besides using the vampire cattle in the castle. Edit: I know i may sound a little rude, but the entirety of the dawnguard vampire storyline wouldn't be possible without it, in fact being a vampire as a whole would be less enjoyable without vampire seduction, and that's saying something I hate the vampires in Skyrim, not being able to regain Health stamina or Magicka is like ultra annoying, the idea of vampires somehow being even more annoying it just makes my skin crawl.
To clarify this isn't a hate comment or anything, I just think you underestimated vampire seduction and how much it is actually needed to play as a vampire.
@@MaxieSteele-fgie no worries, it didn’t come across as a hate comment to me. We just both disagree about this topic, which is fine. I enjoy hearing different perspectives and arguments for certain things in this game, and it’s one of the reasons why I make lists like these in the first place.
