For lockpicking, wax key has to be the worst by FAR. By the time you get wax key, you have a high enough skill to just pick every lock relatively easily. And almost every lock in the game stays unlocked permanently after being unlocked, so having a key to it is pointless. The only time it's even remotely useful is to get a key to a shop you like to rob at night. But most locks on shops don't go past Adept anyway, so picking them normally is easy already. So there's literally no point in Wax Key
Yeah, there are like two locks (probably more) that are locked with "Key Required" but have key available with Wax Key on easier locks in other places. e.g. Gyldenhul Barrow.
I’d say the level 100 perk that makes master locks easier is worse because of the second level 100 perk that makes it so lockpicks don’t break anyways.
Yeah, I was gonna mention this. I think restoration was the only one I really questioned your pick on. Maybe Ward absorb as the weakest, due to the number of ways to get spell absorption?
@@jimmyrittmann8208 I don't know, for me the worst perk for Restoration and also Alteration is the Novice perk. You need it to acess the other perks and that's basically it since you're most likely not using the Novice spells longer than the first hour, maybe just Candlelight and that spell doesn't cost much anyways. You'll still get those perks, but if you just look at it's usefulness beside unlocking the other perks, it's basically nothing.
@@azurewind2287 technically alchemie isnot a perk but a skill tree And technically you dont even need perkpoints in alchemie to use it in an overpowerd fashion. But yeah its verry powerfull
The Magic Resistance perk in the Alteration tree is actually insanely useful on legendary difficulty since you'll want to hit the magic resistance cap of 85% in addition to having a high fire/frost/lightning resistance to resist those effects even more - and, ideally, you'll want to hit all of those points without having to "waste" too many enchantments on those effects or having to play a Breton. Yes, Spellbreaker is a great help, especially against dragons, and is an all around great item in general, but Orchendor can be very difficult to kill without cheesing the fight for many builds, so having alternative methods of reaching the magic resistance cap is always nice. Plus, I'd argue that the Dual Casting perk is actually a lot worse in the Alteration tree since the "Flesh"-spells are usually just worse than wearing armor anyway, are often not worthing spending all of your magicka on, and not many fights will last long enough to need "overcasted" versions of the "Flesh"-spells anyway.
You don't have to do any of that. Just drink a potion and you get it. You would want alchemy anyways if you are a mage so that every single one of your spell is 100% more effective. Its also why Alteration tree sucks since all the thing it provides are just redundant and overshadowed by the 3 best tree in the game. Why use oakflesh when your armor rating is at capped, or why use exchange health for mana when you can just chunk a potion.
@@tranducquang5912 Well, if you're playing the game naturally (meaning you aren't cheesing crafting) you will not reach max level alchemy before you get your first 2 magic resist perks in the alteration tree. And it's that middle part of the game that tends to be the hardest on legendary survival difficulty because many enemies do crazy damage to you while you still haven't maxed out your crafting. For that part of the game, the alteration tree is actually really good, imho.
The worst perk in Restoration isn't Necromage (others already explained it) but Dual Casting because it drains 40% more magicka (but multiplied by 2, because you use both hands) to get 10% healing bonus.
The pickpocket gold perk is very useful if you use it on NPC's that you can pay them to train a especific skill. If you want to maximize your smithing and you traing it on the skyforge, It starts to cost around 2k gold each level. With that perk, you can easely pickpocket your gold back in these situations.
Using prowlers profit is better. You always get gems from chest & urns. Take & use those gems to make jewelry to lvl up smithing. Alot of ppl don't know the higher the value of the item you smith the quicker you lvl up. And if you have the warrior stone equip it goes even faster. You can then sell the jewelry or use them for enchanting then sell it at a even higher price.
@@lovely_rae True, I have used it quite a bit too. But it's way easier to just pay the level up, while also leveling up your pickpocket stealing your gold back lol
The only decent way to level up Pickpocket is by pickpocketing gold, and this Perk makes it way way easier. That's by far one of the best perks in a pickpocketing build
@@brunot.c1144 I don't like paying to lvl increase. Feels weird to me & I've never done it in any game. But that's the things about this game, you have options.
2:33 Nah there you are wrong Magic resistance is quite strong, with a Breton you can have 85% natural magic resistance (without enchanted armor) and if you have Atronach perk you become almost immune to magic damage where the only thing that has a chance to hurt you is the expert or master spells but even there it is so slow that you can heal faster
For me hunters discipline is a always get due to using crossbows and the exploding bolts. Since its a pain to hunt down a large supply of them always getting more than 1 back means i could go a whole dungeon with much less.
Necromage is one of the best perks if you are a vampire because of the amount of stuff that counts as restoration, get this early and bam a lot of your later perks are 50% stronger because it just works
3:26 Interjection: This perk allows one to recover single arrows from those that OP players one-shot kill, at a chance of 90%, versus 20% without the perk. So, this perk is one I get as soon as I can, because it's better to be able to reclaim bolts and arrows from corpses, than to make a pit stop to buy or craft more. Make sense? Of course it does. Not to mention, some arrow/bolt types are hard to come by. 5:04 But it's perfect for stealth builds, because when they run, you get a second chance at hiding and then getting a surprise attack. Of course, when they run, often times, they are panicking and can run into traps, other infighting NPCs, etcetera. Not useless. 7:28 Special treasure includes higher amounts of gold. So, this perk actually increases the amount of gold that can be found by a factor of 175%. Not insignificant. Also, it increases the likelihood of finding flawless gems by fifty percent. 10:04 It's great when having to take narrow paths that force stepping on or over these kinds of traps. I've come across way too many to dismiss this perk as unnecessary, especially since the activation of traps often alerts nearby hostiles. No thanks. ... I think 'Quiet Casting' is bad, because it's in the wrong tree. It belongs in Sneak. Otherwise, it's fantastic. Lowering the skill requirements for Persuasion/Bribery/Intimidate is a must. I've made this mod already, and the Quiet Casting mod too. I've made improvements to the Speech tree, the Sneak tree and the Enchanting tree. ... Did you know that combining frost and fire damage negates frost resistance? It's a bug. I think it's addressed by the unofficial patch. Maybe, I'm not sure. The pickpocketing gold perk? It also increases how much gold can be taken, not by much, but it's something. ... #QA What do you think of new location mods, like Beyond Skyrim, Clockwork Castle, Falskaar, and so on?
I was questioning if dual casting would be worth it for my cryomancer (and first successful mage character) until I started completely stopping dragons from breathing fire on me with one big ice needle. I also learned that 0% mana cost is a thing so I've been grinding a bunch of skills to 100
Paralyzing shot in the Archery tree is definitely my least favorite cause it activates on the release not the hit, nothing like following the arrow cinematic as it flies through the air only to miss cause your target is paralyzed on the ground
Damn it's crazy how Skyrim came out when I was 10 years old and now at 22 I still get the urge to play it. It definitely holds up to the test of time. Q&A, how old were you when Skyrim came out and why do you still play it all these years later? Idc about my profile name being shown lol
I would say Frost Enchanter is actually the best out of the three elemental perks on one specific scenario: when combined with an enchanted Stalhrim item, frost damage enchantments actually reach insane hitpoints.
Has anyone else started a playthrough just chopping an obscene amount of firewood to turn in at the inn in Whiterun for startup money? I mean it's what, 5G a piece, 6 pieces per click, and the chopping block is right outside. I often wonder if it may actually be the best G/min earn rate in the game. It makes me wonder why the orphan girl doesn't do it, ya know?
We could test this out if you like? I often am quick and selective with my loot from areas. Ex: only enchanted items, jewelry, potions, scrolls, and in the higher levels, glass and up equipment, even unenchanted. I believe in the beginning, you may keep up if you were to literally chop from the moment we get to Riverwood, while someone else plays more along the intended script.
@@joshuel1700 It would certainly be easy for anyone to do and I may actually try myself. It's really simple to figure out how long it would take to cut 48 (seems like a good max early inventory amount) and turn them in, figure out what the per hour is based on that and then see what adventuring gets you. Honestly I know myself it doesn't take long to get a few thousand gold to start things off with, get all your starting gear and all the spells at least.
Aspect of Terror is actually *really* strong if you're using any kind of fire magic since it buffs fire damage and works multiplicatively with the Augmented Flames perk from the Destruction tree (if you've already taken that perk), but I agree otherwise.
For me, the most useless perks are all the “Master level ////// spells cost 50% less” because master level spells cost so freaking much that no matter if it's cost is 50% less, it still cost way too much. Master level spells are only usuable with high level enchanting
Should be mentioned as well: using both enchantment and alchemy it's possible to craft sets of armor that reduce the cost of spells by up to 100%. If my math checks out, that makes the perk obsolete. I'm working on a conjuration build right now with the idea that he'll be able to summon two storm atronachs and a bound bow, then still have a full bar of Magicka to work with as needed, and become ethereal shout as a get out of jail free card. Can't wait until I can summon two storm atronachs for free.
If you were trapped in a room with 1 million bald men who all wanted to kill you, how many bald men’s heads could you slap before they killed you? You can show my name btw, and please answer, it’s quite urgent to know.
Necromage has one of the best utilizations in Skyrim, which is being a vampire and the only way to break past the limits of enchanting without being completely game breaking.
Intense flames makes it so that Aspect of terror adds more damage to fire spells. Together they make fire mages much more powerful. This might have been adjusted in unoffical patch but still works in unmod game, add in Necromage as a vampire and your going to cook everything
8:48 I found out, that pickpocket skill is the fastest and best to leveling up your character by simply repeatedly adding and stealing gold via any NPCs pockets in the game without any bugs or glitches. And this particular skill perk for better chance of pickpocket gold is veeeery useful for that So I wouldnt say that its useless perk... Because it isn´t, if you want an easy way to level up your char without abusing game glitches :)
I gotta say that cut purse is kinda niche, because it's useful when you want your money after training and said trainer doesn't have a shop where you can get your money back by trading or isn't a follower to just pick up your coins from their inventory
It's cool that you offered to keep the questions anonymous for people who don't want their names posted on video. Anyway, I'd say that the critical hit skill in the archery tree is the worst since critical damage is determined by just the base damage. Getting back more arrows has become more useful if you have the arcane archer creation club content so you can get back those sweet elemental arrows.
Some people have mentioned Necromage while being a vampire already. Just wanted to throw this out there: It affects enchantments on both armor and weapons. It affects a good number of perks as long as you take them after both becoming a vampire and having the necromage perk. It also affects some shouts like elemental fury. That combined with the dual weilding perk in the one handed skill tree will have you swinging weapons so fast that your arms basically become invisible. The slow down effect in archery and block are both majorly affected. BUT it also affects weaknesses. Like a vamps weakness to sunlight is also made worse. That being said any weaknesses can be easily reversed with enchantments.
frost enchanter is very useful because of the chaos enchant in conjuction with stalhrilm. Stalhrim buffs frost enchant damage and each element from chaos gets buffed by every elemental damage increase. So Fire + Frost + Shock Enchanter + Chaos Damage enchant on stalhrim weapon. Furthermore, for some reason, enchants like absorb health also receive buffs when they are paired with elemental enchants with the use of the double enchantment perk.
The only use I've found for oblivion binding is albeit super niche, but but somewhat useful is when you use it on your own summons if they're clogging up corridors.
Block runner is great if your a dagger stealth assassin. It allows you to creap up faster to your targets. Greanted there are other ways to do so using illusion magic so stealth isnt an issue but wheres the fun in that
Let me change your life. 1) don't wear armour. Clothing or unarmoured DB garb, means you move fastest. 2) sheath your daggers. Unsheath them when you move to attack. You move really fast! *Do not* have a spell in your hand, you lose the speed bonus.
Magic resistance is like the sole reason people level up Alteration in the first place Snake blood would be good too if it wasn't that deep in the Alchemy tree (at that point, you can cheese with your own 80% poison resistance potions)
Never woulda thought of intense flames as the worst within the destruction tree, but I totally see your point. Nonetheless, I gotta admit I like it because it helps thin out swarming enemies like draugr. I has saved my 🍑 from many many dungeon royal rumbles.
Frost Enchanter is actually an *amazing* enchanting perk since it works with the Chaos enchantment that you can get from Falx Carius in Solstheim. My pick for worst Enchanting perk (and you're right that they're all quite strong) is either Soul Squeezer or Soul Siphon, depending on your playstyle (aka if you like using the Fiery Soultrap enchantment or not), since neither are particularly needed on any "normal" playthrough (where you'll have more than enough gold to buy all of the filled soul gems you'll need).
I wish speech had a perk similar to the merchant one that lets you sell any item to vendors for persuade and intimidate. Just a way to have those options more often feels like there's only like 15 times in a whole playthrough where these come up. Imagine being able to threaten random bandits to leave you alone like a calm spell or even convince them to betray one another, thieves could even actually rob people instead of having to pickpocket or attack.
Necromage!? Seriously!? I'm guessing you don't play vampire ever? Since it's arguably the BEST skill in the game even without being a vampire but especially if you are a vampire since it increases your own effectiveness being undead yourself. Also, I'd say the worst skill in the critical chance for bow, 1H & 2H since critical hits only calculate off the base damage of the weapon and it's such a low percentage. For bows alone you'd have to waste 3 skill points on it when you're better off sniping.
@@TypicalPirate55Yeah Necromage is absolutely broken since it will increase all enchantment and potion effects if you're a vampire. Even unique ones like elemental damage boosts from dragon priest masks, which can't be improved otherwise.
If you play pure mage build, using intense flames perks on wide group is actually pretty damn good as they stop attacking you which means less hits draining your life. This perk functions as crowd control. Necromage is one of the absolute best perks in Skyrim, especially if you also are undead (vampire). The absolute worst perks for me are magic cost reduction perks in each school. Why you ask? Because with enchanting you can make 0 cost anyways. Also the wax key perk is absolute trash. And btw unless you invest into enchanting and get 0 cost resto spell wards are absolute trash spells that drain magicka super fast, that said due to how it works dual resto perk is also trash, because the cost increase and the ammount healed is worse than if you casted the skill separately 2 times without dual wielding it.
Lockpicking’s wax key is the worst for me. You get a copy of the key if there is one so you don’t have to lock pick it again making it harder to level. Also picking locks is so easy lol
I never invest any perk into lockpicking. Playing Skyrim for years gives me a skill that allows me to predict the sweet spot to open chests. If you lockpick a chest while carrying a torch, you can increase your chances to open chests a lot easier. Also, with Fenrik's Welcome Illusion Spell, you can open Expert level and below chests infinitely while saving up the lockpicks for the master chests. So the lockpicking skill tree is pretty redundant.
For QnA Do you plan on making videos on mods specifically? I know Skyrim has a lot to offer already but I'd love to see you talk about mods such as Ordinator Perks. I'm not sure if you're into mods at all though.
Necromage is absolutely busted especially with the creation club content in anniversary edition. Cause in that you get 125% more effective spells against the undead. However the wording is bad. It should real be 125% more effective magic against the undead. This includes enchanting, potions, and not just spells. Making it OP for both vampires and non vampires. As a matter of fact I think the worst restoration one. Is the one that allows healing spells to restore stamina. I have never encountered a need for Stamina Regen unless I am running away.
I'd say that reflect perk from heavy armor tree is equally useless as the soft padding for a simple reason: if you are heavy armored, you're going to easily achieve the armor cap, reducing any physical damage you receive by 80%, meaning, you're not going to be receiving that much damage, and it reflects the damage you would receive. That means that the damage you reflect won't be high, so I can't see how that 10% chance is going to change the tides of the battle.
I prefer the passive level up and perk system of Oblivion sure the no breaking of Weapons and Armor is better in my opinion but if it was Like Oblivion you could hoard hundreds of broken items and with the duplication glitch you can spawn hundreds of repair hammers that way you can repair all your damaged loot in one sitting and take your 100 health item to I believe it's either 150 or 200 but you have to be careful not to raise collectable armor and weapons though to keep them pristine. But besides that Oblivion makes all Skill trees good you can use those skills allot more often and in combination with others not to mention being able to use spells regardless if you're holding a weapons that's where Oblivion beats Skyrim. In Skyrim magic is useless beyond leveling them up. I've hardly ever used Illusion or Alteration besides using one skill over and over to level it to 100. I manage my perk points. I get everything to 100 and only use those perks that are actually good. Like picking two ingredients which is tripled when you pick from a planted item from your property. Pick pocket perk that gives me 100 inventory space. Two enchantments. For Lock-picking I just wait until I get the Skeleton Key and then I just never complete that quest. Such a stupid quest. Why turn in one of the most useful and unique item for an ability that I would say isn't equal to the trade. And I don't like using the perk that makes the basic Lock pick unbreakable. That's what the Skeleton Key is for.
Agree with you on the Alchemy. To me, Golden Touch is the best of the Lockpicking skill tree, followed by Treasure Hunter, because you do get gold, or stuff to sell for gold. That said, I've stopped putting any perk points into the whole skill tree, because none of them are worth it. If I had to pick the worst though, it would Unbreakable. It costs you five perk points just to get there, and your lockpicking has to be at 100. By this time I usually have over three hundred lockpicks, and don't care if I break one, or ten. As anyone who goes into a lot of Nordic or Dwarven ruins knows, Light Foot is a useful perk to have. The worst perk in Sneak, for me, has to be Silent Roll. Yeah, it looks kind of cool, but really it does nothing. If I didn't need it to get the higher perks, I wouldn't waste my time on it. One thing I take into account is how many perk points do I need to get the worst perk.
The worst pickpocket skill is the key master. Stealing keys is always easy and if you're a thief character, you're gonna lockpick your way in anyway. Stealing gold, on the other hand, is useful if you want to get your money back from a skill trainer.
Dude. Necromage also buffs you - check out some glitch vids. You can get your magic resistance past 85% i believe with this perk with the right approach Though yes Restoration would be a tough call as it is a generally good tree. I would say avoid death is the worst personally as you will have had ample time to build stats and stock up on potions ect. By the time you get it You can avoid death by entering the item menue and downing food/ potions or simply save a level up to replnish all stats and avoid death from level 2 on. Vs wait for a situational perk I tend to not use/ need.
8:20. I think a 25% chance doesn't mean it will work once in 4 successful backward power attacks; it means there is a 25% chance in a single attack that it will work, so it is even less than what you said. Again, not too sure.
Intense Flame is preaty good, combined with Aspect of Terror perk will boost dmg of fire spell. Master level spell perks are preaty useless because most of this spell is pretty meh.
Hey there. I really appreciate the offer, and I’m really happy that you think that about the channel. I am going to have to decline your offer for a few reasons. For 1, I can’t really pay you at all. I’ve just now began to be monetized on YT, and it doesn’t pay that much just yet. Second. Making thumbnails is something that I actually really enjoy, and I strive to get better at them as the channel develops. I hope this answers your question, and thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Awesome video 😊 but im really wondering why you didn't choose keymaster in pickpocket instead? How many times do you pickpocket keys? They're already a 90% chance even without it
for every spell school simultaneously: dual casting should be a baseline game mechanic, not a freakin perk. Always, always feel bad spending a perk on this shit.
I disagree. Reason being, I like my characters to each feel different from one another. My dark elf starts with 25 in destruction. That's this races major skill So that'll be my destruction mage. With impact and the skill to boost spell damage by 25 and 50%. Other races with destruction, Altmer, imperial, redguard If only head up the spell cost reduction perks. Its a minor skill for these races. Fire for the imperial, synergizes nice with restoration to be extra strong Vs undead. Ice for the red guard. Slowing enemies is great for dual wield swords and mage armoured. I'm quick, they're slow. Lightning for my altmer. My main skill is illusion anyway, can dabble in conjuration, others mostly fight my battles for me, but I can hammer the more powerful mages and lichs.
Not sure about ANY of the combat perks as its possible to Smith/Enchant a weapon that will take almost anything down with a single strike on normal difficulty.
When my perk tree skill goes to a 💯 I take every one because I am the whole thing not the half thing you see it's like doing a quest and half finishing it to me and you leave one open and you miss out I go all the way
Personally disagree w Frost Enchanter. As the most powerful player made weapon, would be a stahlim weapon, w a front enchantment, and chaos, or Frost Paralysis from Chillrend. (Highest damage by number, doesn’t necessarily mean most efficient, fun, or convenient). I agree that enchanting has really good perks, that being said, the worst of the best, would have to go to the soul recharge. Not because it’s not useful, but because most people already have some way to soul trap religiously, so it’s SEMI unnecessary
For the qna these are serious questions: first can i be ur editor, second can i game with u, third where do u think the channels goin. Pretty much *all* of the perks in the Lockpicking skill tree are the worst in the game. You don't need any perks to somewhat easily open master tier locks with a starting lockpicking skill of 15. Sure, you'll often need a bit of patience and are likely to break a couple of lockpicks, but it's not a difficult feat. Being able to pick locks "without being noticed" sounds good but is completely worthless in practice because you'll never get caught if you were already successfully hiding before starting to lockpick. Getting your inventory cluttered with wax keys after you've already proven you can successfully pick a specific lock is also really worthless in most cases. Just a terrible skill tree.
I have a lot to disagree with. Archery: Hunter's discipline is good as you can get more arrows to sell. The paralysis perk in this tree is garbage. Targets get paralyzed just as arrow is shot, not on hit Block runner is great as (if I remember correctly) it also allows you to move faster with a drawn bow. Cushioned is great as unless you wear Talos amulets there are better shouts to have equipped. Not saying Become Etherial is useless, it's just that taking less damage from unexpected fall is better than dying. Advanced Armor is nice as it allows crafting of steel plate(great thing) and best looking Nordic carved armour. Glass is more useless imo.
There aren't any bad perks. It's how you use them. Paralysis in archery is bad if you 1) make overpowered 1hit bows. 2) play as a stealth archer. If you played as a combat archer. It's a wonderful perk.
Really Oblivion binding? I would say the worst conjuration perk is the bound weapons soul trap. Because here's the thing yes there's very few enemies Oblivion binding would be effective against but it's not actively detrimental if you are an enchanter or trying to fill gems. Oh what's that you have a grand soul gem and accidentally killed a wolf I guess there's a petty soul in it. Sure you could say that well it's very useful for filling black soul gems. Yeah how many of those do you come across? Now we have the same exact issue of well Oblivion binding has very few people that summon yeah well there's very few black soul gems. And this perk is significantly worse because unlike Oblivion binding you have to pick up an effectively detrimental perk if you want to get any higher on the tree. "I just won't use a bound weapon until I have an appropriate soul for the gem." If that's the case enchant a dagger or another really light weapon with soul trap. I should probably also point out necromage has a bit more use than you think. If you are a vampire necromage not only makes any spells you cast on yourself more powerful any enchantments you have are also stronger. So I would honestly say if you're not a vampire necromage is definitely a passable perk. If you are a vampire 100% get it.
Pressure plates would be better if you could share them with Companions/NPC's your forced to drag along.... YOU ARE FLIPPIN NIGHTINGALES WHY ARE YOU SETTING OFF PRESSURE PLATES
ohhh boy... in order of issues. Falmer do most of their damage from poison's so a 50% poison resistance is great I would say the capstone to alchemy is the worst because you could just make better combinations. Having innate magic resistance frees up space for other enchantments so that point is moot. Atronach has a problem that it will make conjurations not work 30% of the time. Archery's Crit shot is a 10% chance to do the base upgraded damage of your bow. way worse than a higher change to keep stocked on your best arrows. Block runner? this is the worst take by far. you go from a walking pace to a your normal move speed and you call that a slight speed increase? Also blocking arrows is just unreliable considering the enemy can still hit you in spots your shield does not cover. Enchating's worst has to go to soul squeezer considering you should have the black azura's star or at least the regular star in every run. one handed and two handed perks that are the worst has to go the the weapon specific bonuses because of how bad crits are, how bad bleed is, and how few enemies have high armor rating. Smithing worst has to go to orcish smithing. Advanced armors unlocks carved nordic weapons and armor that are just better than orcish. restoration you chose necromage... i hope you now realize your mistake here. This one perk can break the game because if you are a vampire congrats all your enchantments are now stronger on you.
Also a lot of these perks are crap because of the low to very low percentage chance of them working. Sometimes the chance of them working is so low to none at all. For example "DEFT MOVEMENT" 10% chance, really!! the chance of that actually happening is very rare, not worth a perk in my opinion. I also what to point out why i hated this vanilla combat system and why i went off the game a few years ago, the one handed power attack. If you tried this in real life the way yr char's animation looks like, you will have a strong chance to put yr shoulder out of joint, it just looks ridiculous. Even the two handed as well. Without mods this game is even more dated than Oblivion is. I went back to oblivion a year ago, and really enjoyed it, it just played better (less crashing for one thing) and looked better. The main story was better too. R.I.P Bethesda.
i wonder how many people you killed by saying "use Become Ethreal right before you land." You can't use a shout while falling. How many dragonborns have died?!
My GOD !! while watching this video, the base game is so lame and outdated now especially the fighting style. You would think yr char was swinging a street lamp rather than a sword. It just looks stupid. If the weapon was that heavy in real life then the sword would not worth using because the warrior would be exhausted within minutes. It might of been better if Bethesda had upped the weapon speed a little just to make it look better, but that's my opinion. I'm glad that my own game is modded and looks much better. But i understand where yr coming from in this video, because you have to explain the vanilla version of the game. A lot of those perks are indeed useless. This is what makes the perk tree a pile of shit tbh. I hated this tree when i first saw it back in 2012 and i still do now. It just seems stupid when you have to use multiple perks just to get to the perk you really want. The fallout 4 tree is slightly better what bethesda made, but tbh, i like the original oblivion system or fallout 3/NV, it just works. This perk tree is really stupid. Now i use ordinator, this is a slightly better tree system than what bethesda did. And you have much more options as well. Before i got ordinator i stopped playing Skyrim for over 16 months straight at one point because of the ridiculous and crap perk tree, it just put me right off the game. I went back to oblivion and enjoyed it immensely.
Yeah, wax key is pretty bad
Yeah, there are like two locks (probably more) that are locked with "Key Required" but have key available with Wax Key on easier locks in other places. e.g. Gyldenhul Barrow.
I’d say the level 100 perk that makes master locks easier is worse because of the second level 100 perk that makes it so lockpicks don’t break anyways.
Necromage is the most broken perk in skyrim when you yourself become an undead (vampire)
All your perks, pasives, shoutpowers gets boosted.
I had no idea that it affects vampire perks that much. The restoration skill tree is STACKED!
You'll still get those perks, but if you just look at it's usefulness beside unlocking the other perks, it's basically nothing.
Nah, if u playing vannila version without usp alchemy is the most broken perk. With resto glitch u can even become GOD in skyrim :V
@@azurewind2287 technically alchemie isnot a perk but a skill tree
And technically you dont even need perkpoints in alchemie to use it in an overpowerd fashion.
For that part of the game, the alteration tree is actually really good, imho.
not to mention that dual casting flesh spells only improves the duration of the spell and has no impact on the armor points you get
Aspect of terror increases fire damage as well so i wouldnt see it as the worst
I thought it was just augmented flames that does that
@@borgl_2Fire spells are considered Fear spells as well, so they get bonuses from Illusion.
The worst perk in Restoration isn't Necromage (others already explained it) but Dual Casting because it drains 40% more magicka (but multiplied by 2, because you use both hands) to get 10% healing bonus.
Gets shadow warrior peak, laughs as he walks over pressure plate without setting it off, then hears lydia walk on plate right behind him...😵😵
The pickpocket gold perk is very useful if you use it on NPC's that you can pay them to train a especific skill. If you want to maximize your smithing and you traing it on the skyforge, It starts to cost around 2k gold each level. With that perk, you can easely pickpocket your gold back in these situations.
I agree "keymaster" is terrible and clearly the worst, keys are always easy to pickpocket, why would you ever need this perk?
Thanks for submitting the question!
There is a glitch that when you activate Aspect of fear it will also boosts your fire spells from the destruction school by almost double damage
Damn it's crazy how Skyrim came out when I was 10 years old and now at 22 I still get the urge to play it. It definitely holds up to the test of time.
Q&A, how old were you when Skyrim came out and why do you still play it all these years later?
Idc about my profile name being shown lol
Thanks for the question!
I would say Frost Enchanter is actually the best out of the three elemental perks on one specific scenario: when combined with an enchanted Stalhrim item, frost damage enchantments actually reach insane hitpoints.
Na intense flames, makes fire spells count as fear spells, which in tandem with fear enhancing illusion perks, makes your fire spells more effective.
Do you remember your very first playthrough in Skyrim? The first boot up of the game?
Awesome question! Thanks
I remember it I did not like the game when I first started playing it
Has anyone else started a playthrough just chopping an obscene amount of firewood to turn in at the inn in Whiterun for startup money?
Block runner? The elemental damage resist and block runner is amazing together.
For me, the most useless perks are all the “Master level ////// spells cost 50% less” because master level spells cost so freaking much that no matter if it's cost is 50% less, it still cost way too much. Master level spells are only usuable with high level enchanting

"Yesss don't take that useless poison resist perk..."
-Chauruses on higher difficulties
Necromage has one of the best utilizations in Skyrim, which is being a vampire and the only way to break past the limits of enchanting without being completely game breaking.
Intense flames makes it so that Aspect of terror adds more damage to fire spells. Together they make fire mages much more powerful. This might have been adjusted in unoffical patch but still works in unmod game, add in Necromage as a vampire and your going to cook everything
Cut purse?!?
Not me pick pocketing 3000 gold at a time from trainer pockets to infinity train with very low fail rate.
No "AoE Self" spell to combine with Poison Resist, eh?
"Master level spells of (x) cost half to cast" come to mind...
Those are quite useful if you're using more than 2 schools of magic
I disagree with the Frost Enchanter. This perk boosts chaos damage as well and when used with Stalhrim weapons can really add a definite bonus.
I gotta say that cut purse is kinda niche, because it's useful when you want your money after training and said trainer doesn't have a shop where you can get your money back by trading or isn't a follower to just pick up your coins from their inventory
*Necromage Vampire has entered the chat*
It's cool that you offered to keep the questions anonymous for people who don't want their names posted on video.
Anyway, I'd say that the critical hit skill in the archery tree is the worst since critical damage is determined by just the base damage.
Getting back more arrows has become more useful if you have the arcane archer creation club content so you can get back those sweet elemental arrows.
Dude you just lost all credibility when you said necromage was bad. It's the best perk in the game if you're a vampires.
Some people have mentioned Necromage while being a vampire already. Just wanted to throw this out there:
It affects enchantments on both armor and weapons.
Magic resistance is like the sole reason people level up Alteration in the first place
Snake blood would be good too if it wasn't that deep in the Alchemy tree (at that point, you can cheese with your own 80% poison resistance potions)
Imagine being able to threaten random bandits to leave you alone like a calm spell or even convince them to betray one another, thieves could even actually rob people instead of having to pickpocket or attack.
for sure! I really hope we are able to negotiate prices from vendors in the next Eder Scrolls game!
Necromage!?
I’ll be honest, I’ve never given being a vampire play-through a shot. It looks fun, so maybe I’ll have to try it sometime
@@TypicalPirate55Oh ABSOLUTELY!
IIRC, poison resistance works well against sick animals.
"while carrying a torch" i.. i can't tell if your joking or that's a bug or intended.. and the fact i can't tell really shows the stability of Skyrim.
Congrats on the 1000+ subs, mate!
Thanks a ton! 🎉🎉
8:34 Cutpurse is useful if you want to learn skills from npcs for free, which could otherwise be costly.
Block Runner is cheesy when you need to walk fast overencumbered or crouching.

Congrats on 1000 subs bro!
Thanks! Really appreciate it!
What perks did you pick for your build? My answer "yes".
Thanks for taking the time.
You can get your magic resistance past 85% i believe with this perk with the right approach
Though yes Restoration would be a tough call as it is a generally good tree.
I would say avoid death is the worst personally as you will have had ample time to build stats and stock up on potions ect. By the time you get it
You can avoid death by entering the item menue and downing food/ potions or simply save a level up to replnish all stats and avoid death from level 2 on.

Thanks for watching! Keymaster was my second choice. I thought that it might have a use when escaping prison, but other than that it’s pretty bad.
for every spell school simultaneously: dual casting should be a baseline game mechanic, not a freakin perk. Always, always feel bad spending a perk on this shit.
I disagree.
Reason being, I like my characters to each feel different from one another.
My dark elf starts with 25 in destruction.
That's this races major skill
So that'll be my destruction mage.
With impact and the skill to boost spell damage by 25 and 50%.
Other races with destruction,
Altmer, imperial, redguard
If only head up the spell cost reduction perks.

I was debating soul charge to be the worst. I actually changed it last minute.

What build do you normally go for? Or do you to for an all round character build?

how many poisonous enemies can you name off the top of your head?
Falmer, spiders, falmer pets and those creatures in hermeus realm are poisenous but yeah not enough to realy justify a perk
good question. Thanks! 🤣🤣
I have a lot to disagree with.
Archery: Hunter's discipline is good as you can get more arrows to sell. The paralysis perk in this tree is garbage. Targets get paralyzed just as arrow is shot, not on hit
Block runner is great as (if I remember correctly) it also allows you to move faster with a drawn bow.
I Appreciate your opinions!
There aren't any bad perks.
It's how you use them.
Paralysis in archery is bad if you
1) make overpowered 1hit bows.
2) play as a stealth archer.
If you played as a combat archer. It's a wonderful perk.

Ur wrong about cut purse because of lvling speed
YOU ARE FLIPPIN NIGHTINGALES WHY ARE YOU SETTING OFF PRESSURE PLATES
wow this is so slay ✨
ohhh boy... in order of issues.
Q&A do you know who the mine Goblin is
The empire or the stormcloaks?
The ultimate question! Thanks
You can use it right before you jump. It gives you plenty of time to land.
@@TypicalPirate55 Yep
My GOD !! while watching this video, the base game is so lame and outdated now especially the fighting style.
