Black star will passively level up enchanting. Kill an enemy with a soul trapping weapon, capture the soul, use the soul to recharge the weapon and repeat. Every time you recharge a weapon, you get some enchanting xp. This is why the black star is so useful. Another use is that let's say you need three grand souls. Just go to an easy place like Embershard Mine, kill a bandit, take the black soul, leave, use the soul to enchant an item, come back and repeat.

The turn undead spells are great for leveling restoration even at higher levels you can find lower level enemies from time to time. Circle of protection is completely busted as it regenerates your magic if you have spell absorption. i forget if you need to be a vampire for it to work or not as I almost always play mages as a vampire for the illusion buff and the ring of erudite.

The worst pickpocket skill is the key master. Stealing keys is always easy and if you're a thief character, you're gonna lockpick your way in anyway. Stealing gold, on the other hand, is useful if you want to get your money back from a skill trainer.

What makes dead thrall my favorite conjuration spell is that when the thrall is down you can store an infinite amount of items on their dead body. When you resurrect them they effectively become a pack mule with infinite carry weight.

where can I get lighting storm?

Dagger assassin with invisibility is my favorite build in Skyrim. Way more powerful and rewarding than a stealth archer. Early game is quite difficult but it gets easier quite quickly.

I agree with you on the flame atronach. It can useful in almost any situation. I even use them against frost dragons. The only time I wouldn't use them, would be VS frost mages or casting draugar. In such cases I would use the frost atronach, or something else.

Calm is also good for stealing.

Cloak spells get more love from me because I use them as a continuous source of minimal damage while I have to wait for magicka to recharge

I’m surprised to see wall spells so low on the list. They are easily the most cost effective destruction spells. Great addition for a character that focuses more on hp and armor rather than magicka. Same goes for cloaks.

In your opinion, does the Talos blessing actually do anything?

My big problem with restoration is not much to it, you either heal, ward, or scare away undead. Wards are pretty much useless since enemy mages will quickly break through them. The only fun thing about Restoration is that Poison Rune spell.

Necromage is absolutely busted especially with the creation club content in anniversary edition. Cause in that you get 125% more effective spells against the undead. However the wording is bad. It should real be 125% more effective magic against the undead. This includes enchanting, potions, and not just spells. Making it OP for both vampires and non vampires. As a matter of fact I think the worst restoration one. Is the one that allows healing spells to restore stamina. I have never encountered a need for Stamina Regen unless I am running away.

Ignite will always be #1 for me because with the mask of Ahzidal and 2 points in Augmented Fire, it will always stagger AND the damage stacks. You can just bleed bosses down and they won't even be able to move. Dragons fall out of the sky, giants just trip over themselves, and dragon priests succumb to the flames without even casting a spell. Unbeatable.

Valdur's Lucky Dagger's critical hits stagger opponents and is meant to be duel-weilded with Mehrune's Razor in the left hand. This helps with the insta-kill ability.

I use glitches to make lightning strom free and aim it at literally everything in my way (Fortify restoration loop)

Did you skip the undying ghost? I didn’t see it but that guy really comes in clutch for me 😂 yes he takes all the magicka BUT he has great battle lines and cannot be underestimated for entertainment. Edit: Yes you skipped the swashbuckler. I knew I wasn’t crazy. He is the reason to Skyrim

The summon undying ghost does so much work in my legendary play through. Unlike melee followers, he doesn't have a hidden hunting bow that they decide to use when I need them to tank all the time. I can sneak up to enemies, initiate combat by casting the ghost, enemies aggro on him and he as the same stats as a storm atronach with 1 or 2 items buffing total magicka. If he dies its almost always because his 60 seconds are up, not because he was killed even in a 3 or 4v1.

What about elemental burst and bolt and strangulation?

Ash spells are utility. I find them useful when I want to save a villager from dying to a high level threat. Say a dragon or vampire attack.

Detect Life was actually pretty useful for hunting. Especially for having to collect those 10 bear pelts near Ivarstead!

i really liked the rune spells, i played enderal this year. and i ended up using only that and mythical fire spell. RUNES ara amazing against mages as hey bypass their ward spells.

Yes, but the regular horses can die and when you are on danger they run away and disappear. Arvak has everything a regular horse has, but without disavantages. I call him a "Pocket Horse". When you need it, you have it. One of the best spells. And I don't think Skyrim is meant to be played with fast travel since you just can't explore new locations and there's a great amount of random events that you can't face. Fast travel is a tool that you can use sometimes, but is unwise to abuse.

Daedric Horse and Summon Arvak both filling the same niche makes it opinion on appearance choice. For me, it's Arvak all the way. Flaming Bone Horse? Who let Ghost Rider into my Skyrim? Plus, climbing mountains on Arvak is funny as shit. But I can see reason to take Daedric Horse, just because of the flex of having a crimson red horse. Or for roleplay purposes. A normal Dragonborn would use either, sure, but what of a Necromancer? Arvak's rider whose name I forgot's sibling? Or, for the Daedric Horse, perhaps a worshipper of Mehrunes Dagon? An ex-Mythic Dawn member who went into hiding, forced into the spotlight to take down the bloodline of the god who slew yours?
