Nothing quite like hearing two world-class musicians playing off each other with lockstep precision! Hearing the two of them harmonizing on that tapped riff was awesome!
This makes me so happy. There's nothing better than when you just "click" with someone musically - it's brilliant to see how well they compliment each other.
The experience and charisma that these two musicians have individually just increases the level of chemistry between them as band mates..it works so well it's inspiring.
+CaptainFantastik1 Saw them live last night, holy crap, they sounded HUGE, it helped that there's 3 people in the band and all 3 of them sing at the same time
What's great about this band is that there's room for each member to do what they do best. They're not stepping on each other. And their abilities compliment each other, I think they'll settle like this - I can't see any of them leaving this arrangement now, I think it's what each of them has been looking for.
The chemistry in this band is rare and very special. The album is a new timeless classic - which will be played for a LOOOOONG time. When I went to see these guys in Pittsburgh a few months ago, I hadn't really heard too many of their tunes. But the next time they tour, I will be front row (again) singing each verse along with 'em. Winery Dogs rule!
Paul Gilbert & Billy Sheehan also have that kind of chemistry on the 2010 Mr Big record And Marco Minnemann & Bryan Beller also have that kind of chemisty where they can Jam for hours and write whole Albums within 2-3 months
It's not chemistry. It's TRAINED musicians playing together. Nobody sees a chimney fixed and says wow look at the chemistry between those 2 chimney professionals. Sheople are funny.
These guys have such a love of music and are so compatible that they just flow. They are seriously in simpatico with each other. When Richie starts singing, for a second it reminds me of the opening lines to China Grove. They should do a cover of that song. Please? Would love it. But I understand they want to create their own music and expand their own creativity too.
Absolutely love this musical partnership. Two great players. Killer drummer too. When I am sitting in my music room staring at the guitar I play these guys and after a couple of songs I'm back in the game..lol
This proves that these guys can be stars and good people at the same time. Many times I would rather here this kind of informal playing than the produced tracks. thanks Richie and Billy

So cool watching two accomplished musicians that are truly inspired by one another vibe out and just kill it. Hope these guys stay around for a looong time.
Curiously, I did not have the opportunity to see Billy talk about his music in any video before this one and the gear talk on wich he explains everything about his rig. I am very impressed about how passionate the guy is about what he does. I mean, many bass players don' t even like to talk. But surely he is far from being quiet, by any standards!
..man, I tell ya..I'm a guitar player..and anytime I see Billy Sheehan play live..I"m blown the eff away...dude does what he wants and..I swear to christ, he is never off !!!...the dude is amazing...
Awesome! The room where the magic starts!! Yeah, awesome to see this footage from the best musicians in the world!! 👹🎸🎼🍒🎵🎵👍👌👌🤘🤘This is damn interesting!!!
A lot of it comes from Billy Sheehan's playing - he keeps the low end with the bass but kind of fills the void of a second guitar player with his guitar-esque bass lines.
Marvellous!!! I first of all saw Richie when I saw legendary bassist Mr. Stanley Clark at the old fruit market in Glasgow (wearing if I remember brown leather flares, soo cool) in a band called Vertu in 1999. Then 2005 Billy Sheehan at the Glasgow Royal Concert hall playing with Steve Vai!
Mr. Big and the David Lee Roth band are great bands with great musicians but they are not known for soul music. So there for hes not talking shit you just dont know soul.
imretarded97 Mr. Big's ballads sound pretty soulful to me. It's all a matter of opinion how much soul a song has. For example, I think Epitaph by Necrophaghist has a lot of soul
I feel like I have been in a cave for 30 years. I knew the names but never seen Billy Sheehan like this. Whow. I did see him at Bassplayer Live, but it didn't hit me until now watching this incred video. Mostly because I thought at the time that he was just another gunslinger. Make more of these. Billy and Richie meet your latest fan!
Could that please go on for another hour or two. The Winery Dogs have saved modern rock and roll.
Two strong players with strong tone showing some cool licks and syncopated runs. And Ritchie has a ridiculously good voice.
No guitar picks were harmed in this video!
his bass tone is killer!
Nothing quite like hearing two world-class musicians playing off each other with lockstep precision! Hearing the two of them harmonizing on that tapped riff was awesome!
Billy must be THE best bass player for a guitarist to be in a band with. He's just so in the pocket it's insane.
sheehan is like a killer rhythm guitarist and awesome bassist all in one.
Lol, I'm gonna have to think about that.
I love to watch these two guys faces while they play. So much soul and emotion goes into their playing!!!
So awesome
Two of the most talented dudes on their respective instruments. Just awesome!
I need more Billy Sheehan in my life.
This makes me so happy. There's nothing better than when you just "click" with someone musically - it's brilliant to see how well they compliment each other.

These guys make Winery Dogs sound so much bigger than your average trio.
+CaptainFantastik1 Saw them live last night, holy crap, they sounded HUGE, it helped that there's 3 people in the band and all 3 of them sing at the same time
haven't heard a trio sound this big since King's X
Rocknroll Jimi don't worry, I've given them a real good listen to
Heads up for Kings X :)
SO stoked to see these dudes again in February....
Winery Dogs is a HUGE breath of fresh musical air in these recent years!
What's great about this band is that there's room for each member to do what they do best. They're not stepping on each other. And their abilities compliment each other, I think they'll settle like this - I can't see any of them leaving this arrangement now, I think it's what each of them has been looking for.
Love when this comes up in my feed again. Seen it prolly 20 times. Looking forward to another record.
Timing is simply perfect
Simply another level. After all the years of playing - this is what you get. I wish I'd stuck to it~~
To of the most talented people in music today....thanks for the inspiration
Big fan of both of them, Mr Big❣️and now with Winery Dog couldn’t be any less genius 🤯

This men... They are from another world!
they really love what they do and i really love the final result, its amazing!
God I wish they would get back together to release another album.
What a great experience to know how those two build up their craft .
Absolutely love this musical partnership. Two great players. Killer drummer too. When I am sitting in my music room staring at the guitar I play these guys and after a couple of songs I'm back in the game..lol
Love the Winery Dogs ! You guys really click together. Your going to bring out the excellent in each other . So so good ! Massively brilliant !
This proves that these guys can be stars and good people at the same time. Many times I would rather here this kind of informal playing than the produced tracks.
thanks Richie and Billy
I agree.
You might be right but a 7 minute video doesn't prove anything.
You're a Biden voter aren't you?
absolutely amazing playing from 2 great guys.
It was so fun; to see these two awesome musicians playing.
Richie kotzen. Is. One of the very best wow very big influence on my practice and playing
the musical chemistry in these two guys is awesome
It's not chemistry. It's 2 TRAINED musicians playing together. Nobody sees a chimney fixed and says wow look at the chemistry between those 2 chimney professionals. Sheople are funny.
Billy is a Rock Solid guy!
first time when i found the winery dog....i love it..... hope that it's well forever
Wish they would get back for another album
That bass tone...holy shit. These guys are great.
Now thats what I CALL chemistry.
Sheehan really rocks!! Incredible player.
So cool watching two accomplished musicians that are truly inspired by one another vibe out and just kill it. Hope these guys stay around for a looong time.

It was so much fun to watch, amazing musicians

I don't know how I ended up here. But now I got another awesome band to listen to!
This is awesome love this guys and their music!!!
Brilliant band, and Richie's vocal are so awesome
I love the band, and this discussion seems so open and honest. Like guys I could just go hang out and jam with. Love it!
Awesome playing
Open minds and seniority talk by themselves! Awesome!
Easily the best thing Billy has ever been involved with. His playing style is perfect for a 3 piece band.
this is the first time I liked a tele's tone. Way to go Kotzen!
These guys rock man...it reminds me of the old ROCK days of the late 70's and 80's...AWESOME
You guys are awesome. Love the double output on the bass.
The Elevate/Six feet deeper mixup actually sounds really cool!
Billy Sheehan consecrated monster ! - Toca muito !
I swear Billy Sheehan plays something else but not bass, this man is just SO damn phenomenal !!
Я его тоже басистом не считаю. Он гитарист.
There are just so many really good riffs in this whole album it is really amazing.
so good billy is just so in the pocket there and these guys are both so seasoned
This is so killer !!
Billy Sheehan seems like the nicest guy to hang out with.
You guys sound great!! Be watching for you.
Richie makes me so happy.

my favourite team!!
Awesome! The room where the magic starts!! Yeah, awesome to see this footage from the best musicians in the world!! 👹🎸🎼🍒🎵🎵👍👌👌🤘🤘This is damn interesting!!!
Billy is soooo fikkin good

The Team String A. Come back soon guys!
sheehan is so goddamned refined on that bass!
This video is glorious!
Harmony in 6:39 is just soooo beautiful...
they sounded huge for only three musicians.. GENIUS!
A lot of it comes from Billy Sheehan's playing - he keeps the low end with the bass but kind of fills the void of a second guitar player with his guitar-esque bass lines.
absolute pinnacle, there is not better in this universe
gorgeous!!
This video is pure bliss!
Great album...just listened to it on my way back home from the graveyard shift

Nothing to add to the skill chat. But man, these are nice guys! And I love to see Billy play (for the first time ever?) in a band that has soul!
Yea, ok,cause DLR, Mr. Big & NIACIN didn't?
How dare you speak ill of Mr. Big and David Lee Roth's band.
Mr. Big and the David Lee Roth band are great bands with great musicians but they are not known for soul music. So there for hes not talking shit you just dont know soul.

06:56 Explained here
love this album
sou fã desses caras, simplesmente eles tocam nice
Aside from Sheehan’s style and chops. It is a real band not just something contrived. It is very much worth listening to.
oh my God.. they are so damn good..
I believe being a musician is not something that you learn, its in you the day you were born, and these guys are example.
My new favorite band!
AH!!! je l'ai adore!!!! sublime!!!
