That’s something I could look into doing! And JJ McCarthy is a QB I’d like to do an evaluation on. For being so limited in college, the big timers really value him
It's because of his arm strength. He has what Bo Nix lacks. Penix is a crapshoot. Feel like some team will convince themselves on each of them in the top 50.
Great video and breakdown. The video is just smooth and seamless. My dude is Penix but I like Jayden. It's just hard to tell how good of a passer he can really be. Obviously awesome playmaker
Very good assessment open and honest and the negs you pointed out were good ones and the best things about those plays is that every time he missed a throw he came right back and hit the next one right after, like in the FSU game. Also glad you pointed out that he really don't want to run, only when it's necessary. Hopefully my Skins will be picking him. Definitely will be checking out your reviews on the other QBs. Good job.
Great vid overall. One thing I just can't let slide: RPOs in the redzone are not why Jalen Hurts gets 10+ rushing TDs each season lol its the tush push
Very good analysis. Something I have noticed on his misses shown is that even with his good footwork on a lot of his misses he tends to be fading back could be a concern or could be coached out of him. This is combined with his average NFL arm. All that being said I think he is the 2 QB prospect in the draft.
You should do a video before the draft where after you’ve watched all the tape you rank the players. Would be curious so see what order you’d have these QBs on your personal draft board.
When Jayden starts getting happy feet and starts fading left, right and back, I know that ball isn't coming out right. When he steps into it, he's as good as anybody.
His arm looks totally decent to me. Stronger than Joe Burrow I'd say, and maybe similar to Brock Purdy who hits lasers over the middle all the time. The deeper down the field you are throwing, the less laser throws are useful anyways.
“4 takes a bad angle”, has a lot to do with that player likely not being on a tan even for training camp, which is the problem with his running ability. he takes advantage of player that arent going to be there to take advantage of at the next level
IDK just seems like a run first QB that's rushed over a 1,000 yards when he didn't need to, behind a stout o-line and 2 top WRs. His skinny frame also worries me, as he likes to take a lot of hits, needs to learn how to slide and I hope he doesn't end up like a RG3.

LMFAO with our dumpster fire of an O line and with Daniels' frail ass frame, he'll be snapped like a friggin toothpick and be on IR by mid season and hopefully not ruin his career.
Jaden Daniels was mostly a shotgun quarterback in college, hardly if ever he ran under center and that’s what Kliff Kingsbury has done his whole career going back to Patrick Mahomes in college and Kyler Murray in Arizona. I can see Cliff Kingsberry running a pretty similar offense to what he ran in Arizona for Jayden Daniels if he would be a commander
Your breakdowns are great and non-biased. Great breakdown of Jayden Daniels. I saw Drake Maye’s breakdown, prior. I’m going to check the others. I believe the Bears will take Caleb Williams. I’m torn between Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. I believe Daniels is more of a playmaker and reads defenses a bit better than Drake Maye.
Reading defenses, .timing routes before the cut, not phased by pressure. Getting ball out on time. Looking off defenders. These are the things we dont see enough of with JF in Chicago. Some still blame coaching. Some say coaching is adapting to JF limitations. All agree, 3 years in he's still developing in these areas. and behind many of his peers. JF is more accurate - has a great deep ball, and is special in other ways so he's still productive. But, like all running QB's he wont be after a couple years of hits. look at the rushing drop off from 22 to 23. Caleb has a better mix of both their strengths.
I think Justin Fields can be an NFL QB. But he’s proved in the past 3 years, he’s not good enough to raise a subpar team, to over achieve. Put fields on a good team (Pittsburgh, Atlanta) he would elevate them to a playoff team. At this point, it’s time for Chicago to move on from Fields and draft there next guy, and use the draft capital from fields to get the guy some O-line/WR help!
At least Jayden is a legit 6’4 and will be able to see over the line. Bryce is so small, he truly can’t see over his linemen on top of his team being shit
@@srb2834 that’s very true, but I think he’ll measure more in the higher 6-2 to 6-3 max. He definitely ain’t as tall as 6-4 Maye. But still plenty tall enough like Rodgers
@@nicknova703 I can’t find it right now, but there’s a Heisman finalist pic of all 4 guys standing shoulder to shoulder on the street in NYC & JD is much taller than MH3 & Harrison is also listed @ 6’4. the only disagreement I have with your method of analysis (not even really a disagreement, just a nitpick actually) is that sometimes the lack of diverse types of throws by a QB isn't by their choice. This is obviously a pretty niche problem, and has really only been relevant in the case of Justin Herbert, but sometimes it is worth looking at coaching history and to see if all the QBs under a certain coach play the same way despite their differences in ability.
and now that my noggin is joggin I remember a similar criticism of DK metcalf at ole miss. People called him a hitch/9 route merchant and said he was just hype. So it isn't just Qbs that suffer from this. Anyway I love the video, personally have JD as my Qb 2 and I'll be beside myself if my giants don't find a way to bring him home.
I really like JD. He should stay in purple and go to the Vikings!😊 His athletic ability is insane and with JJ, TJ and Addison he could put up huge numbers
I’d love it! I’m always a fan of letting guys sit a year behind a veteran. It worked for Brock Purdy, Jordan Love, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson! If Daniels could sit behind Cousins for a year or two, I think that would be good for his development!
@@TankFantasySports I agree. I really like JD but, as you said, he needs to improve in several areas but his upside is very high. My ideal scenario is resign Kirk for a year or two, sign JJ to a long term contract and have JD sit for a year or two. Thanks for the video!!
There’s a ton of tape of Bo Nix making every throw imaginable so I am confused as to your claim otherwise. Perhaps you need to watch more tape. His offense doesn’t call for every route on a consistent basis, but that has zippo to do with if he can make a throw or not. It’s on video man. Pretty much every throw imaginable is there. He played 60 freaking games. There’s a ton of tape - watch more if you have a question on a route.

Great video, sir! Do you think Jayden fits with a Kingsbury Air Raid system?
Nice report. Hoping he goes #2.
I wouldn't call Jayden Daniels Jalen Hurts 2.0, I would call Jalen Hurts the poor man's version of Jayden Daniels.
Some how, some way, he needs to end up with the MN Vikings and throw passes to JJ and Addison.
❤
Love yo Evals Bra...
U don't give Hot Takes
For clicks.
U give it up Real 💯...
I've been saying this before the season ended. Jayden Daniels is that guy. That's our future quarterback in Washington. Not Williams and not Maye.
Jayden’s passing reminds me of Bryce Young for some reason, he was on a really good team but if he goes to a bad one he’ll be running for his life
Dats any QB. Dat go to a bad team.. its goin to take some time
At least Jayden is a legit 6’4 and will be able to see over the line.
I know they all lie about sizes, but I think Jayden will grade out a min in the high 6’3’s which is definitely a benefit in the pros over the 6 foot/ 6’1 guys
@@srb2834 he plays small, like a mariota
Can you do jj maccarthy
I plan on doing Caleb Williams next, then JJ is on deck 🔥
Do you have a Twitter?
Yes I do. You can follow me @EvankthetankFF 🔥
What I noticed he doesn’t go through his read
He'll be the best of the class
the only disagreement I have with your method of analysis (not even really a disagreement, just a nitpick actually) is that sometimes the lack of diverse types of throws by a QB isn't by their choice.
Doing a Caleb eval?
Welcome to DC.
i feel like ask these throws were him staring down the receiver he knows odd going to be open because of then being two first rd talents.
If he ends up on the right team and works on his accuracy he could win OROY
Daniels to NE IS WHAT IM PRAYING FOR 🙏🏻
It would be nice seeing NE getting their QB of the future. I think the Mac Jones experiment is over
NOOOO GOD PLEASE NO!! That team stinks I wanna see JD succeed! 😭😭
@@smercxzu meat riding
They’re probably trading down and taking Joe Alt😂
Can’t see him in NE
Do a video of Spencer Rattler. He may be the best QB that nobody is talking about.
It’s coming! There’s so many prospects to get through. Still need to get to JJ, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye! But I’ll get there 🔥
Jayden Daniels. Remind me so much of Lamar Jackson he has the pedigree. And I love that he also, I have a lot of pocket presence because as soon as the pocket breaks down, he’s already halfway down the field🙏🙏🙏🍾🍾🍾
I hate this comparison personally. They're nothing alike to me. Both run fast, that's where it ends. COMPLETELY different qbs.
