Automotive Abomination.. Easy to get in for elderly people, small boot, so you'll need the back seats for shopping. It's an old peoples car. I hate it.
I take it then you do not subscribe to the Clarkson and Hammond school of thought that men cannot have a convertible? Also nice to see you enjoy the wind in your hair!
What consumer market sector is this directed to? I can only think of young daddy's girls and immature women that go everywhere in their activewear. Can't see men or mature people being attracted to it somehow.
The boot is a similar size and shape to that in my TT roadster which is perfectly usable. I'm after a reasonable priced 4 seater convertible and I could live with the quirkiness and sideways glances from other drivers if the Roc wasn't so slow, so heavy and so expensive for a decent spec. PS why does everyone only review convertibles with the roof down. 90% of the time in the UK the roof will be up. Lets see what the visibility is like, what's the noise like at speed, how dark is it in there. And getting in the back with the roof down is completely different from trying it with the roof up.
A dearly departed colleague and I use to play a game with comments exactly like this where we would go up to students (or faculty, or endowment patrons, we didn’t care) with a mic in hand (we were music department professors), quote the line and then ask “Creepy, or Sweet?“ just like a man-on-the-scenes reporter.
That car is made for someone like me... I live on an island with alot of dirt roads/beaches, but I still want a power top convertable... I've got a evoque convertable and it's perfect for me. It's a nich market, but the people who want one really want one.
I think (and let’s face it who gives a toss what I think) that the sort of person who would buy one of these probably wouldn’t watch car reviews, that’s about as positive as I can be. I’m with the lovely Miss Hoggs other half, it looks more like a skip than the truly awful evoque convertible, and that really is saying something.
Really liked the format, but would have been more 'diverse and inclusive' if Mike had been in the passenger seat (would have made the cruising quip more apt). Actually, the horizontal line below the front number plate is where the car should have stopped, cos above there it's not an unattractive car.
This may very well be my new most hated modern car. I'm not a fan of 'baby' SUV's anyway; imo they are utterly pointless. They're more expensive than the hatchbacks that they're based on yet not as good to drive, not as cheap to run and not actually any more practical, nor can they go off road. What is the point? So, when a convertible version comes out... 🤮🤮🤮. Kill it. With fire.
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff 😂 Love the content your doing though mate 👍. And I'm going to have to contradict myself here for a second, because I really quite like the look of the new Hyundai Kona N; your quick review of it was ace and I do want to try it out. But I'd still have the i30N or the i20N over it I think.
I like quirky. The British specialise in it too. This thing however looks like a bathtub on wheels inspired by the PT Cruiser. Nice review ya bald, windy twat.
Big ups to Rachael 👍🏻
She’s brill
It’s the same colour as the Daewoo Matiz that my step dad bought from Halfords 20 years ago 👌
… and that’s a good thing, right?!
I would say a crossover rather than an suv
I’m with Mr Hogg sorry!
It is the correct colour for a skip too 😆
What the hell is a shadow fetishist?
Its an eye shadow colour from the L'oreal Paris La Petite Palette called "Eye Shadow 4 G Fetishist"

Old people dont really drive SUVs
In the UK lots drive Mokkas, Jukes, Capturs, etc. Cos 'they're easy to get in and out you know'
@@CathodeRayNipplez Yes they do..
do not buy, worst car I ever leased, far too expensive and poor performance
Very unattractive. The rear end design is a disaster with its four accent pieces. Reminds me that there is no hope for the world
Maybe it’s just me, or the lighting, or my iPad, but that “Turmeric Yellow” just looks like a cheap GOLD rattle-can job.
Yes.

£42k!!! I nearly fell off my yacht!
I nearly spat Kopi Luwak over my butler 😱

There must be a lot of that demographic in Germany, if 28% of buyers are going for this version 👀
The Pope joke had me on the floor 🤣 😂
I adore convertibles as well!
I really wish for SUV convertible, overall I enjoy SUV more than sedan
Being a 1.5 did it ever suffer from the kangaroo driving when cold, or has VW finally cured the jerkiness?
I think they solved that long ago never had a problem with my 1.5 kodiaq
you have def become my go to for car reviews , free from all the bollocks but with my sort of humour
Thanks Peter! I started this channel because I’m bored of boring car reviews and the other end of the spectrum… vacuous car reviews.
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff ..and you can leave all your crap in the car as well !!!
Thank you, warm man. 😂 Enjoyed it
Merci Oliver!

Becoming the skip - genius
Love the T Roc conv, similar colour to my 17 year old Megane cabriolet...
One day, if I live long enough I will be able to afford the TR.....😎
Just buy a Mini Cooper convertible it will be more fun on twistys and cheaper with a 1500cc engine.
if it had 4 doors it would be a modern reboot of the Thing

First we had sports SUV which in engineering terms is absolutely hilarious and now a convertible, how much more hideous can it get.
