Cabbages! 🥬 for chicken kottu🍗 potato cheese rolls, pineapple salad & more!

- I assembled carrots,leeks,cabbage,and an array of essential ingredients,meticulously slicing hot wheat bread brought from the kottu shop in the market into immaculately thin pieces.The making of kottu traditionally occurred in an iron plate.A space for the wood-burning stove was thoughtfully arranged by my younger brother,showcasing an inspiring initiative.Since that moment, kottu had been masterfully hammered on iron plate.The wonderful sound resonated as the wheat bread pieces sizzled on the metal plate mingled with chicken broth,transforming into a red hue in the shimmering oil,It is impossible to determine whether the sensation of the bubbles is pleasant in this context.
In a culinary endeavor, purple cabbage is meticulously thinly sliced and accompanied by a slender cucumber, merging with the pineapple to craft a tangy and spicy salad, evoking the distinctive flavor of kottu.Uncles Kalu,Some, and Sumith congregate the following day.A delectable dish of shrimp tempura, brimming with capsicum and cabbage,is complemented by a rich filling of crushed bread slices soaked in grated potato and spread of cheese on the plate.
Two bundles of mushrooms were torn into two or three pieces,and sprinkled with salt,turmeric,and pepper,they seemed to quiver with a sense of modesty when plunged into the hot oil,shouting 'chas' as they twisted and turned.A handful of milk was added to the golden mushrooms,stirred,and sautéed with boiled diced carrots and green peas. This mixture was then lovingly stuffed into boiled and wilted cabbage leaves and steamed once more until resulting in a dish worthy of any distinguished dining table. I made a 'coconut sambal' using a traditional hand grinder and a cabbage omelet was also prepared with incorporating tomatoes plucked from the home garden in the previous day to ensure my brother would not feel the comfortable absence of non-veg dish in the table.

රතු පැහැයට තෙල් මිදුනු කුකුලු මස් හොද්දෙන් පෙගුනු රොටි කැබලි ලෝහ තහඩුව මත ගිනියම් වෙද්දී නැගෙන්නේ අපූරු හඩකි.නැහැ පුඩු වලට දැනෙනා සුවදද මෙතෙකැයි කිව නොහැක.
පහු ගිය මාසයේම ගමේ අන්නාසි කුනු කොල්ලෙට විකිනුනි.ඒ තරමට තිබූ අන්නාසි පදුරු වල දැන් ඉතිරිව ඇත්තේ අතරින් පතර ගෙඩියකි.දෙකකි.දම් ගෝවා ගෙඩියක් හීනියට ලියා අන්නාසි සමග ලපටි පිපිඤ්ඤා ගෙඩියක් දමා ඇඹුලට සැරට සලාදයක් ඇනුවේ කොත්තුවේ රස වැඩියෙන් දැනෙන්නටය.
පහුවදා කලු මමා,සෝමෙ මාමා සමග සුමිත් මාමාද වැඩය.ඉස්සෝ තෙම්පරාදුවට ගෝවා සමග මාලු මිරිස් දමා පිරවුම සකසා,ගා ගත් අර්ථාපල් අල සමග පොගවාගත් පාන් පෙති පොඩි කර තැටියෙහි සිහින්ව අතුරා පුච්චාගත් අල රෝලට පුරවා නැවත පුලුස්සා ගත්තේ මුදුනට ඇති පදම් චීස් ද දමාය.ගානට සීනී සහ ඉගුරු දැමූ තේ කහට කෝප්පයේ පාලු මැකෙන්නට ඉස්සෝ පිරවූ අල රෝල ඕනෑවටත් වැඩියෙන් තිබුනි.
බිම් මල් මිටි දෙකක් දෙකට තුනට ඉරා ලුනු,කහ,ගම්මිරිස් අතගා වතුර මිරිකා තෙලට දැමූ විට 'චාස්' හඩ නංවමින් අරෙහෙට මෙහෙට ඇඹරෙන්නේ ලැජ්ජාවට මෙනි.රන් පැහැ බිම්මල් ගොන්නට මිටිකිරි මිටක් දමා තම්බා කොටු කැපූ කැරට් සහ ග්‍රීන් පීස් දමා කවලම් කර බාගත යුතුය.තම්බා මලානික වූ ගෝවා කොල වලට එය පුරවා නවා නැවත හුමාලයෙන්ද තම්බාගත් පසු දවල් කෑම මේසයේ එක් කෑමක් ලෑස්තිය.මිරිස් ගලේ පොල් සම්බෝලයක් ද අඹරා,පෙර දා කොරටුවෙන් කඩාගත් තක්කාලි දමා ගෝවා ඔම්ලට් එකක් දැමුවේ පිලී ජාතියක් නොමැතිව මල්ලීට වන ඇබැද්දිය මැවී පෙනුනු නිසාය.රසවත්බව පිරුනු දවල් කෑම මේසයට කලු මාමා එවා තිබූ ගස්ලබු ගෙඩියද කපා තැබුවේ තාත්තාට ගස්ලබු සමග දුර නෑකමක් ඇති නිසාය.
