I recently purchased a YAMAHA 473 and came across your excellent videos. I am gradually learning how to use the keyboard and it is very similar to the 463 so I am picking up some great tips from you. I have read through the instructions provided with the keyboard and watched lots of different instructional videos but I have found yours by far the best. Simple and very easy to follow. Hope you continue to make many more. Thanks for alll the information. Take care
When I was looking at e463 info on UA-cam; I came across your channel and felt like I had struck gold! You are a truiy gifted teacher and you have given me the great gift of you sharing how to use the many features on the e463. I am enjoying this keyboard. Thankyou very much and may God bless you richiy!
Morris, when I start looking for videos to teach me more about PSR Yamaha, what a Gold mine I found with you.
You explained clearly and simply that you should charge to Yamaha for all you time invested in this community.
Thanks Morris for all you do for us.
God bless you.
Thank you So much for this tutorial, Now I know how to do this, you showed me just how easy it is. I have a PSR-E473, and I'm sure it will be the same process. Again thank you. I love your tutorials.
Morrie its just lovely how many years would it take to play the keyboard like you . That's a gift from above .God bless you
Very informative and well explained video. I have never used to any great extent the ability to save my song settings. My keyboard is the E453 which has most of the features of the keyboard that you are using, and this is one of them. At long last, I now know how to save my song settings without losing all of my hard work at power off time. Thank you for ALL of your well presented videos
Morrie, you are my hero👍😊! Thanks so much!!
Morrie, you are a wonderful teacher. Your videos should be watched by thousands of people. You speak clearly and distinctly and your instructions are so easy to follow. I bought a Korg EK50 a few months ago and I wish you had one of those and did videos on that instrument. The manuals that come with all of these keyboards are seriously lacking in information. Thank you for all the videos you post!
I want to say thank you so much for this video, sir. I am more of a synthesizer user than a player of this kind of keyboards, and I have this keyboard with me as my first keyboard, and actually I've never figured out how to use it because I just wanted to learn how to play the keyboard before getting into synthesis, and now that I needed to customize sounds from this keyboard that will be useful for me I needed to know how, and the manual had me a little confused, but then I stumbled across your video and it gave me all the information I needed. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Morrie, for a very helpful teaching video. I have bought 5 keyboards previously but never really took to the Owner's Manual approach to learning so I never learnt. However, with your help I am making real progress with the PSR E-463.
Thank you very much
I continue to learn so much from your videos
Well done your such a good teacher
Kind regards
Jack
Thanks for all this information. Was sooooo useful.. Great shortcut to get the music rolling!
You are a master teacher,I have just bought a psr EW 410,apparently very similar to EW 463,I have never played an instrument before, but at the age of 50 its now or never, your videos are going to help me millions when I finally turn my keyboard on,you are so good at explaining things, and great visuals,I thought I would buy an instrument that can sound like many instruments, you are awesome and a champion, thankyou very much⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very educative and well explained now, I would love to know about how to utilise the other memory slots.
I'n not quite sure what your asking me...
@@Kayrichardson10 There are 8 banks of memory, and each bank has four slots. Press the BANK key and then use the rotary dial to select which of the 8 banks you want to set up.
This is very helpful.👏👏👏
tank you so much sir im from a srilankan god bless you
Hi Morrie, you are the first teacher out of many that I can follow and even remember what you showed us, (I have a PSR EW410 which is near enough the same) so thank you. I have one suggestion about your editing, your voice is too quiet so I have to twiddle my volume control from 100% to 20% when ads interrupt your lessons) so if you agree and fix that in future videos I will be happy forever!
Thank you. It was a great education for a novice like me.
Thank you also my English increase. Many greatings from Holland
Surely the best tutorial by Morrie Reece
Thank you one more time. Enough for now and first day. To be continued :)
this was very helpful. thankyou
Hi Morrie!
Thanks so very much!
Best, Arabelle
Very clear explanation
Thanks a lot for this vast knowledge
Thanks for all your work
You are the king 👏👏
Thank you so much ,you're such a good teacher
Thanks this helped me a lot
Thank you for your great lessons, Sir!
Thank You Morrie !

Thanks for this!!!!
Thank you very much.. your the best
Good day. Great tutorials. Am very grateful Doc. Please show how is the #5 setting be stored in memory bank. Thanks.
Thank you so much. Very useful 👍
Thank you so much 👍👍
please make demo on how to recall more than one style stored in each bank
Thank you Sir.
Great video. Thanks. How do I store bank 2 voices?
Thank you I enjoy it
Thank you sir for many insightful videos on Yamaha psr e463🙏🙏. Would you be making videos for learning to play the keyboard for those with deep desire to learn to play but for some reason can not find a good teacher ( I should be saying Guru)
Hello Morrie! I followerd this video! I like it very much,! You are a very good instructor! Nevertheless, I have 2 questions please!
At first of all, I would like to know, why do you not consider the volume of the style and secondly, I would like to know how do I handle the 8 banks!
For your answer thanks very much in advance!
Hi Morrie! I hope you had a smooth move! If you have a minute, I would appreciate it, if you could explain to me briefly of course, how I can save my settings, like volume, tempo, etc., I made of an inserted user song via thumb drive in my instrument. I realized that I unfortunately cannot save it under der registration memory.
Thanks so very much in advance and "Happy Thanksgiving"! Best, Arabelle
Mr. Reece, is it possible to demonstrate passed Banks 1,2,3,4? I am having problem to continue on the registration memory saving mother layer and of course calling them back. I keep replacing what I am saving. A little more detail passed the 4 banks. I really appreciate all the reviews you have I follow you all the time.
My name is Vic
Thank you so much
Try pressing Bank twice or more for each bank number. For example if you have bank 1 already set, press bank again to go to 2 so on and so forth up to 4.
press the bank key once then you can use the data wheel or the number pad to select bank 1-8 :-) So 5th is bank 2 memory slot 1 or bank 8 memory slot 4 is 32th!
@@d.j.peters thanks
@@MVTKapno I'm confuse "thanks" for what ?
Thank you.
Very useful
I really appreciate your analysis. I understood, but my challenge is that what if I want to save my settings to bank number 2 what should I do? Thanks
Wonderfull. Thanks.
Hi Morrie, Thankyou for your videos. We bought a Yamaha psr e 463. We watched your video PSR e 463 for Dummies once and noticed today it was removed by the Uploader, can you please reload it again? We really need this video, Thankyou 🙏
I had to delete 127 of my UA-cam videos because of the threat of a copyright claim which could result in my being kicked off of UA-cam. Very upsetting.
Oh no… that’s so sad 😞….that was such a good video and same with the others. Our son has special needs and it would have really… helped him out. We hope you make some more soon. Excellent, helpful videos, we can tell you truly are a master teacher.
Can you please show me how you could do it on Yamaha PSR E473 piano
Sir, Im Joe from the Philippines..I just want to ask how to delete files loaded to the registration if the memory is already full...thank you very much I learned a lot from your previous videos.Be safe and God bless.
You can overwrite any memory location with a new one at any time. You have 32 memory locations
@@morriereece5007 Thank you very much .
Okay, I found your video I was looking for but I still have a question on this. Let's say I save my Moondance song in Bank 3, with the flute voicing. While playing the song in flute I then want to have the piano voice and then want to have the sax voice and then horn, let's say about 5 different voices from my Bank 3 song. How would I do that? It would be like having saved memories (voices) within a saved memory song.
Donna….yes I’m saying that you would need to set up a registration for each and every voice change in your Moondance song. For example..I might start the song with a piano main voice set. In Bank 1 registration 1, I would set and save a flute voice. In Bank 1 registration 2, I would set and save a guitar voice…in Bank 1 registration 3, I would set and save a trumpet voice…and in Bank 1 registration 4. I would set and save a violin voice. So I would end up using five different voices in my song. You have 8 banks with 4 registrations in each bank, for a total of 32 memory registrations you can use to store voices and styles, etc ect.
Morrie...I like playing a lot of abba and Irish ballads like Carrickfergus. Do you recommend any style and voice settings for these?
Hi Morrie!
You mentioned the keyboard has 8 banks! They are 4 visible, but where do I find the other 4?
Page 43 of your owners manual, left side, steps 1,2 & 3. First select your voice/style/groove/ect and make all the settings you want to save. Second, press the BANK button, and then third step use the rotory wheel to select which of the 8 banks you want to save your settings. You'll see the word "Bank" on the screen showing which bank you have currently selected. The E463 is poorly designed when it cones to using the registrations, because there are no lights or indicators to tell you which bank or button you've pressed.
Mr. Morrie I want to ask you how to install the settings in bank higher than 4 and recall it afterward, for banks 1-4 is easy and fast, what should I do for bank higher than 4, thank you
Press the BANK button, and use the rotory dial to select which of the 8 banks you want to store your settings into... page 44 of owner's manual reads...."Press the REGISTRATION MEMORY [BANK/MEMORY] button to call up a Bank number on the display. Bank number. Use the dial or the [1]-[8] number but- tons to select a Bank number.
@@morriereece5007 So if I want to recall a bank from 5-8 I have to use the rotary dial?
Sei fantastico. Ho 75 anni. Scusa ma non so la lingua inglese. Ciao.
Ciao Roberto, ti ha risposto poi? Perché anche io ho la stessa domanda!
Can i save more than one songs in a particular Bank . for instance Bank 1 ?
Yes you can save four songs in each of the eight banks for a total of 32 songs saved all together. This is what I explained in my video
Hi Morrie!
Can you please tell me, if I can save the "Volume Balance" in the Memory Registration? In addition, I have some trouble to save 32 songs in the memory slots! I watched your video, but I only can save 4 songs! (4 buttons)🥴 What do I wrong?
Thanks very much in advance! Best, Arabelle from Sarasota😊
See page 44 of the owners manual. first press the REGISTRATION button....then use the dial or number buttons to select the Bank number, which goes from 1 up to 8. . That's what you missed.
Hello sir..
How can i save registration memory to my usb flash drive?
you can't...the only store internally in the keyboard
Frend how to copy style in PSR E463 then copy to USB
How many total memories can be stored only 4? Or 32
32. 8 times 4
Morris how ddid you change the volume of the voice.
Function 011 lets you set the volume of the main voice....
Sorry you stored only 4 what about the rest of the 32? how to reach them?
press the bank key once then you can use the data wheel or the number pad to select bank 1-8 :-) So bank 2 memory slot 1 is 5th or bank 8 memory slot 4 is 32th OK ?
@@d.j.peters Thank you
So how do you move to the next bank?
Use the rotary wheel
👍 But where to store 5th song?
press the bank key once then you can use the data wheel or the number pad to select bank 1-8 :-) So 5th is bank 2 memory slot 1 OK?
You explained how to save 4 settings to the Memory Bank’s 4 buttons and I got that, but not how to save to the other 7 slots in Bank1-4. You’ve put 1 settings in each of the 4 buttons. Did I missed something??
So, how do I go to the bank 2, 3 , 4 and so on
very simple...press the BANK button and then use the rotory wheel just to the right of the screen to dial up bank 1,2 3 or 4
just spend 4 hours making pre sets, turned the keyboard off and all the banks are empty again!! someone know how to fix this problem??
What about the other memories from 5 to 32?
As ai explained in the video at the 9 minute mark I only set up four of the 32 memory slots because I didn’t want to bore people watching over and over and over again how to do it. I figured four examples was sufficient.
Happy to announce that I have got the bank ‘settings’ saving to all the 32 slots! - at last!!! I’m a dumbo!!!😳
that's great...i don't think I ever got past eight saved....
Firstly, thank you Morrie for all your hard work making theses videos which are much appreciated. My query is when all 32 Panel Settings are saved to a pc as a BUP file and then you fill up another 32 Panel Settings with different voices, styles etc...how would you save theses new settings ? Since the E453 only recognizes one BUP file, when reloading from a pc and if you give it a different file name, so as to distinguish it from the first BUP fil,e it won't load? I suppose the only work around would be to save different BUP files on separate Thumb Drives?
I’ll confess I have never tried or experimented with saving dozens of registrations onto a thumb drive. However page 70 of the owners manual appears to indicate that you can save multiple user registration files onto the same USB thumb drive.
@@morriereece5007 Thanks
In England, Morning, Morrie. I jumped the gun the other day. I said I ‘got’ how to save my selected settings to the memory bank - and I do, BUT - only to one of the 4 buttons on my ‘Registration Memory’ buttons. Thought I understood how to save to the other 28 slots, nearly, but, no!! How do I save to slot 4, say, of bank 1? Or slot 5, say, of bank 3 etc.? Sorry 🤣🤣, I’m a bit slow(and 80yrs old! Lol)
*...do I do wrong
Thank you. 😊
