    Good morning Morrie, I think God has sent you to teach me to play the keyboard, such wonderful things you have shown me and thousands of musicians all over the world. I know of musicians who play the keyboard very well but do not have the experience and knowledge that you have and you share it with others .The first thing I do is to go to UA-cam and see what videos you put up, it makes me extremely happy, keep putting up more videos like this. have a wonderful day and keep smiling. Thank you and God bless you

    Hi, Morris,
    You are a best keyboard teacher in the world. I am a novice player and didn’t know anything. Since I watched your videos one by one which you explained so throughly, I understand it more and will embrace keyboard playing to live my retired hood every day. You opened another door for my rest life. Thanks a lot, teacher.
    My best wishes

    Thankyou very much,I have just bought a psr E410 I believe it has similar settings,I have never played an organ before but have always wanted to,it,s now or never,although this is way beyond my needs at the moment it is great to see how to use these buttons and settings,hopefully for future use.my father was an organist for 50 years and I wish I had got him to teach me but never did.i love the way you have produced this video,even I can understand it,I look forward to seeing more of your videos,you are obviously very knowledgeable in these organs use,thankyou for taking your time to do these videos,you are one in a million,excellent,best wishes to all,from,Auckland.🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have just subscribed and look forward to seeing how you can improve my understanding of these wonderful Yamaha instruments. Thank you so much.

    Stumbled on this link, but its been very insightful...i believe good music starts with good sound and good sound starts with a set instrument...which is what i'm learning here. Thank you Mr. Morrie, Your explanation makes me understand without even writting notes👍👌God bless you to continue imparting music knowledge to folks like me who dont want to go to school😂😂.

    Hello, I was wondering if you had any ideas for how a paralyzed person like me can get an electric piano to be able to make a sustain pedal sound when playing, but not make the sound constant because then the notes gets all jumbled together and sound awful.
    I love the sound of the sustain pedal but it can’t be depressed down the whole time and I was hoping there would be some way to get a keyboard to “lift” the sustain pedal every few seconds to clear the reverberation. I just want to play piano again, and I thought in the 22 years since I was paralyzed that someone would come up with something that would do that but I haven’t found anything so far.

      Ann, I have no idea what keyboard you have and what capabilities it has. May I suggest you send your inquiry to Yamaha Support at...usa.yamaha.com/support/contacts/form.html?page=product
      On my E463 I would use the release feature to sustain the sound when I release the key.

    Hi Morrie, thanks for this video, its going slowly, but I'm getting there. I didn't see it in your video, but could you please explain how to change the split volume. You jumped to the frame in the video at 7:55, but you didn't show what button(s) one need to press to be able to activate this function. The default setting seems very loud. Will appreciate your help, thanks

    • @morriereece5007
      @morriereece5007  2 роки тому

      Alex.... Press the FUNCTION button and select Function # 31 .... "S VOLUME" which is the volume of the split voice (page 57 of the owners manual)

    Great ! You got new subscriber. A question : is it possible to hold the splitted voice without the need to keep the keys pressed ? For example, if i have strings or violin for my split voice, can it hold the sound if i lift the fingers ?

    • @morriereece5007
      @morriereece5007  2 місяці тому

      No that is not possible

    • @jimgom3337
      @jimgom3337 2 місяці тому

      @morriereece5007 thank you for your reply. It is very disappointing that it doesn't have this simple function while my 30 years old Roland E16 has it.
      Also, i cannot find any way to fast switch between variation styles A to B without fill-in. My old keyboard has a dedicated button called "variation" and it just turns on/off variation style while you play without fill-in.
      Any ideas how i could do that in my new Yamaha psr-e473 ? Thanks in advance.

    The only thing that is missing on the country setting is bass. I have not heard many (if any) country tunes that do not have considerable accompanying bass. Possible on the E453?

    • @morriereece5007
      @morriereece5007  2 роки тому

      No, you can't adjust the attack and release of the split voice. The split voice is part of the Backing, and attack and release cannot be applied to the backing.

    7:54 Why is the USB signal on? SMH

    • @morriereece5007
      @morriereece5007  2 роки тому

      The USB signal is lit because I happen to have a USB thumb drive plugged into the E463 keyboard. Any time you plug in a USB thumb drive, that signal comes on and stays on as long as the thumb drive is plugged in. I almost always have a USB thumb drive plugged in, because I may want to use it to retrieve styles or MIDI songs that I want to load into my keyboard
