    Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! Finally someone saying it like it truly is. You need to match your training to the individual animal. If you cannot read your dog , you will have a harder time training them. Puppies like any baby of any species, learn and remember at different speeds and often in different way. That doesn’t necessarily mean that one puppy is smarter than the puppy, some puppies are more cautious, or rambunctious, or even fear. I love how much you call out these practices and why they don’t always work! Thank you for sharing ! Stay safe

    I’m a mom to two young girls. I’ve watched you since before I had kids but I love your videos now because there’s such a similarity between dogs and people. I always think it’s so interesting how the way I am tackling things with my second born… I have to take a different approach than I did with my first born because she has a completely different temperament. Even as babies you can just tell certain things. Me and my mom call it being a baby whisperer. As a new mom Ive read so many tips and tricks online especially about baby sleep. I’m a part of a lot of mom groups… it surprises me how many people seem to read something online and try to just apply it to their kid without taking into consideration their unique situation and their own babies cues. Some people just understand babies, some don’t. Same with dogs. You are absolutely a dod whisperer! I wonder if nowadays people spend too much time on their phones listening to other people’s opinions, and they have lost their intuitive senses. Like they don’t know how to assess a situation in front of them. Anyways God Bless! I love your videos

    I see, what's written in books as well as what I see in videos, as a loose guideline on what to do. I need to tailor everything to fit my dogs' situation. I need to be able to read bodylanguage and act accordingly. That's also why I prefere videos. I learned so much, about bodylanguage, from being able to see it in videos. That's what brought me to your channel years ago, when you would do all these "analysing of bodylanguage" videos in the dog park. That was so darn informative, as well as interesting.

      @@Beakerzz thank you for your donation. To answer your question, yes they are very different. They had different purposes and so the temperaments are going to be different. The pressa was historically used for dog fighting whereas the Corso really was not.

    I'm entirely inexperienced in training dogs and so are my parents.
    However, I have been doing my best to get my parents labradors to actually behave. They behave in the way untrained "pet-quality" labradors do! Which, of course, they're at least with decent temperaments and extremely mild in personality and unlikely to begin any fights with other dogs or attack any humans. The problem then is they are not handle-able on leashes despite being one of if not the most trainable dog even for a beginner. The both of them are "problem" dogs in their own way. The older of the two is neither working or show lines (I'm unaware of the purchasing but I saw the circumstances/area she was bred and was area the breeder was new to the scene) and she is extremely stubborn similar to your videos on younger Bauttista where she "hears you" but takes her sweet time to listen, she's also extremely keen on "policing" other dogs (not our other lab, she's submissive to her) by barking and looking big (She has charged and put another dog on the ground for ramming into her butt, but never marked up another dog). The younger of the two is a "working-line" but pet-quality dog and she is not tolerant to any degree of other dogs getting into her space rudely. She has never been overzealous in corrections, but at dog parks when she goes to snap and put another dog on ground, its not exactly safe and my parents frequently try to get her to stop despite the fact its the other dog being rude (IE; a male ran up to her face and then attempted to mount her immediately and she snapped at him for it, she is *spayed*).
    While I'm not educated on this either, nor am I experienced. I do care about dog body language and I get conceptually the point made in this video. It does take a lot of experience, you're essentially learning a whole new language (body/vocal lang in tandem with personality) and not a lot of people have dogs anymore. People who don't know dogs don't know how to train or communicate with them, similarly with people who don't know cats or know chickens or any other animals.
    Animal languages (body and their vocal cues) are an entirely foreign language and its better to treat it as if you're learning a "type" of language that you're unfamiliar with! I'm also a city-slicker and I barely know how to interact with cats to this day or really any hooved animal other than being cautious!
    Rant and a half, but its a fascinating thing to think about that many people are just no longer fluent and just do not think of the fact that dogs have a "language" of their own and we sometimes need to treat it as such to be able to communicate properly. Dogs are wonderful and admirable animals that humans can learn from extensively. I, personally, cannot wait to get more into the dog world and becoming more experienced in training dogs and being with dogs myself

    There is no book in existence that can give you a step by step training method from start to finish for any sort of domesticated animal. There are too many variables to deal with to make such a ‘tool' reliable. Training an animal is a moment by moment reaction by the handler based on the moment by moment reaction/behavior of the animal to stimulus. It’s all about understanding animal behavior, which is often based on visual cues. We don’t have a book in our face everywhere we go while we raise our kids. Animals are no different.

    When you are a life long dog owner dog behavior/dog language is so slight and blatantly obvious however, if you are new to dogs it's impossible to understand what you are experiencing/seeing.
    There is so much behavior and communication in this video. 100's of slight behavioral interactions/modifications that stem from years of working with dogs as well as a highly skilled trainer.
    This video could be a book! If you are new to dogs, watch Rachel's videos. She is giving away hours upon hours of dog behavioral training/modification (FOR FREE)! Back in the days you would have to become someones mentee in order to have access to this knowledge.

    Oh, her's a GOOD girl! Bible says that if anyone lack wisdom, ask of God, who gives to all men liberally. And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Which (I think) pretty much defines a lack of common-sense present in our society. I like Stonnie Dennis for general socialization and basic obedience training. I like Joel Beckman's approach for breaking bad habits and learned bad behavior. I used to like Cesar Milan quite a bit, but he appears to be mixing too much New Age nonsense into his approach to animals. And I like your approach to breeding/rearing litters.

    • @SenzaTempoCaneCorso
      @SenzaTempoCaneCorso  3 місяці тому +3

      Oh yeah, Joel Beckman is awesome. I think we're very similar. Same with me. I don't like Cesar millan as much anymore. I feel like he finally caved to all of the crazy animal rights activists in California. It's a shame because those people will never really like him. All he did was alienate his true base.
