- In this episode, Craig shows us how to remove the rear wheel on a Rize electric bike. Caution: Be sure not to touch the rear brake lever when the wheel is removed. Doing this can cause oil to spray and the rear brake to cinch up. Should we make more of these? Please hit the LIKE button and leave us a comment. And, don't forget to Subscribe!

Craig you saved me 150. Thank you.
How did you do it without getting th wheel stuck or something? When i put it back it refused to place it back on its original spot and will not budge
I watched a few video's on ebike rear tire change. This one is the best.....by far.
Glad we were able to help!
@@RizeBikes You deffo helped. Saved me about 100 USD. If I had the money I'd give it to the shop, but I don't right now so very helpful. Thanks.
Please, can you provide a direct link to the mentioned three-leg-bracers for handelbars? You mention it is on Amazon, but it is impossible to find.
Hello,
Here is a link: www.amazon.ca/Original-Handlebar-Jack-Portable-Compatible/dp/B0922ZBL8Q/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1T0VO2OIOV1QX&keywords=bike+handlebar+stand&qid=1697646770&sprefix=bike+handlebar+sta%2Caps%2C141&sr=8-5
Rize I waited 7 months just for a motor😕
We all wait for all our stuff. Either parts or bikes itself. Don't think your alone in this. This is not Rize's fault at all. Those parts come from China and lockdown is causing all sorts of problem and slowing down mailing significantly. And not just that, almost at the same time this stupid covid hit, the demand of Ebike just sky rocketed.
Oh and one more thing, I got my bike 7 months ago, first one to pre order the Blade 2. I am still waiting for parts. Your not alone.
I was a little worried about taking the rear off my E bike but you made it simple nowm my question is where do you get the three legged braces for the handlebarstried searching thank you
Hello Mark,
I'm glad to hear the video was of assistance!
The three legged braces can be purchased off Amazon.
This guy makes great videos , but if your camera person can just keep keep the camera on the area your discussing.
The best way to remember what order the washers and nuts go on the bike is to put them in order on the ground when you take them off.
Don't just drop them like a pile of coins.
Bravo! Thank you! Better than most of the dedicated videos and very well shot.
This was exactly the video I needed. All others were some other variation for the way the wheel was installed. Thank you!
Thank you for the video, helped a lot 🙏
Glad we were able to assist!
Very helpful
Hey bro thanks a lot you did an excellent job of explaining the task.
I appreciate your talents 😊
You forgot to mention of the placement of the gear cluster and the chain when you reinstall. Having chain in the wrong cog when you replace the wheel will cause irreversible harm when you go to ride it.
It is also helpful to tighten the nuts evenly on both sides.
I'm still trying to get that fucking first bolt off no reason it should be this tight
Hi Mr. Toast, spray some WD40 between the axle and nut. This should make it a lot easier to undo the nut. Hope that helps.
where can i get the stands for the handelbars when i turn the bike upside down
Hello Steve,
You can find the same item we use by searching: Portable handlebar stand.
where can i buy that 3 legs tool please let me no thanks

As a true Rize rider I appreciate this and all info for repairs ....So happy!!
Thanks for the support and kinds words!!!
@@RizeBikes I hope you can help me, bro..?!..i practically took of the rear wheel, to fix a puncture...when my kid brother twisted the throttle, and because the wheel was off, turning the throttle, made the spindle rotate freely...now i fix the puncture, the wheel is back on...but there seems to be a "break" inside the drum on B/wheel..and it won't move...it will no longer run with battery-power...please help bro
I have few question to ask.. for the planetary gears, is the metal one better than the nylon ? and for the tension of the chain, is very tight is good or a bit loose?
Thank you for the Detailed video, I didn't know you have to tap the wheel to get it of bent my disc brake saving alot of money now to fix it myself ❤
Someone removed the outer circlip from my ebike wheel. And it is bent and neither do I know exactly where it goes. Will it be ok to ride my bike without the circlip ?
My cable doesn't separate like that. Moving on to another video
Hey, have you found a solution? Mine is connected like that too. Did you find the video?
Does anyone know the 4 digit access code for the settings on an M5 digital display for ebikes?
Thanks thanks it was so help full for me 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I dont have a bike repair stand, can i turn my bike upside down to remove the rear wheels? and later to put in back? or doing repairs?
Hello,
That works fine! Just make sure to have a support by the handlebar to prevent your LCD from being damaged.
Amazing video, everything good thanks
Thanks for the great video, all the small details really helped!
A different video states if you flip your ebike upside down the hydraulic brakes will become spongy. Are your breaks mechanical or hydraulic?
Hello,
All our brakes are hydraulic.
Thanks bro! You saved me
thank you sir!! its free too!! yea!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
ive followed your instructions somehow my wheel wont come off nor budge.. ive removed the disc brake still wont move
That happened to me I had to kick the wheel a bunch of times
Used this vid to replace wheel and change brake pads for my gotrax ebe4.. thank you so much!!
Gotrax offers literally 0 customer service nor any informations, my next ebike purchase will be Rize!!
My bike doesn’t work this smooth like what
Cant for the life of me get the wheel back on. Will not seat in the axle notches. Any advice?
Hello,
You'll have to grab a wrench that fits the axle and wiggle the axle back and forth as you place the wheel into the bike. The issue is your axle is not oriented the correct direction when placing it onto the frame.
@@RizeBikes do you mean a wrench that fits the nut on the axle? Or a pair of pliers to wiggle the axle?
This is what a chicken with it's head cut off looks like
Does anybody know where I can get an axle like this one. The one on my Ancheer e bike has snapped I can't find one anywhere thanks.
Hello Michael,
You'll probably going to want to get in contact with the shop that originally sold you the bike as our axles most likely will only work on our specifications on the Rize Bikes.
You said “I’ll take this bolt out and this bolt out but you didn’t say what they held and what their for???? 🤣🤣🤣👎
Hello Pete,
Thank you for the feedback. We are working on replacing our videos and making sure they are more clear in future videos.
What size is the axle nut? I’m trying to look for a 18 mm nut but I can’t find one need help😭
Lol that's what I was wondering too .
He used 18 m wrench so .so the whole nut is 18mm
But the hole is going to be M12 or and M14 I think .I called Rize, guy didn't know on the phone 😐
Also the front size might be smaller like an m10 ,m8 .
I have the old spark bike x .I guess it would be the same for Rize x
I got patches to patch up my tire but I didn’t know I needed any of these tools to remove it
You only need the 18mm spanner. The others are not necessary.
I dint think I have a plug does it unplug out ov the control box motor cable no plug very old bike but going strong wants rear tyre thanku
Hell Alan,
Unfortunately, if your motor cannot be disconnected from your controller, it will be difficult much more difficult to replace your rear tire.
Please get in touch with the original manufacturer of your eBike.
Thank you so much! This is the the most complete and well explained video i have seen on this, I am glad you mentioned the lock nuts also.
Glad it helped!
*If the side threads of you axle are shaven off/down how do you remove the lock nut.*
You don't need to remove the nut. You just need to loosen it.
Sitting here watching this as the local bike shop is replacing my rear inner tube. The shop was closer to where I got a flat then my house is.
How much did the shop charge you to replace the tube?
This helped a lot thx🙏🏼
Lifesaver dude. Thx.
Great video, thank you
