- Side-by-side shotguns have always evoked images of elite gentry and fine country estates, but you don't have to be the son of an English lord to have a well-built side-by-side. Turkey-based Akkar Silah is producing an affordable line of sporting arms that are being imported into the U.S. by European American Armory Corp. One of the latest models, the Churchill 512, gives you a slender, well-built side-by-side for less than $1,000.
Each EAA Churchill 512 shotgun is is built on an all-steel receiver treated with a nickel finish. The side-by-side barrels are blued and feature a concave rib topped by a bright front bead that makes for easy target acquisition. Completing the look of the 512 shotgun is Turkish walnut-wood furniture with fine figure and an oil-rubbed finish. The pistol-grip stock features comfortable, attractive checkering for a solid grip. A gold-plated mechanical trigger completes the gun.
You'll find a manual safety selector mounted on the receiver tang, which also includes a barrel selector switch. Additionally, EAA Corp. provides a shorter, handier 512 Cowboy model complete with a color-casehardened finish. Each shotgun features a built-in extractor and ships with three extended choke tubes. Models are available in 12-ga., 20-ga., 28-ga. and .410 Bore.

Side-by-sides are so cool.
Picked up 20 ga, excellent firearm extremely happy with it hunted grouser for 2 seasons
Akkar made in Türkiye 🇹🇷
That is very beautiful
I bought one of these that is stamped imported by Chiappa. The spring that returns the top break lever has snapped. The lever remains to the right. I have emailed Akkar in Turkey, and did not get a response on how to disassemble it to replace the spring. I have also emailed Chiappa Firearms twice, and have not received any response either. Anyone here knows how to disassemble this shotgun to replace that spring. I am a little frustrated at the customer support and the gun has less than 100 shells through it.
Planning to pick one up when I get my licence, Should I reconsider?
From the recoil, it looks pretty light.
Does it comes with single trigger only?
I am wary of single triggers in cheap and medium priced side by side like this since they double fires occasionally.
200 rnds and not a single issue with this gun
Great Stuff 💯 Luv side by side's 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
* If you're going to make a double gun for hunting, give the buyer the option of having double triggers.
I own the 520 and really like it. Very light and handy in the field. I can even put a sling on it for those long walks back to camp. I even managed to hot oil the stock into a neutral cast. One more session with hot oil and I should have cast on ...the curse of being left handed
I'm a old fan of sxs shotguns and that's an attractive one, very sleek.
Looks like bad shooting skills... (don't want to offend you, bur this head wiggling is odd. Try to work on a consistent mount). Cant say anything about the gun. But looks interesting.
Bought the gun in 20 gauge. Love it! Shot 2 ducks with it today. It tends to rusting but with proper cleaning its a neat toy.
